Such a lovely place to stay, so peaceful and even better in the sun ( which we luckily had). We had such a relaxing stay and the beds were like a dream. Excellent hosts home made cake lovely welcome pack was very nice touch even put candles on the cake and decorated for my birthday very helpful with local places to visit and eat rose barn was immaculate we felt right at home don’t essitate to book it’s stunning stay thankyou again

We’ve stayed in many rental properties in the U.K., Europe and USA and this is one of the best. Felt instantly at home. Beautifully decorated and fantastically well equipped we didn’t want for anything. Great for a short break but we could have happily stayed for weeks. Sally and Nick were so helpful and reassuring. We spent half our time planning a return visit this year and next! Well done

We had an absolutely lovely time staying at High Swinside. Diana was an amazing host and went out of her way to make us all feel comfortable. I would highly recommend any of her cottages.

We just needed somewhere to stay and chill for a few days away from the day to day rat race and this place certainly lived upto it's description. The place is beautiful and spotless with everything you need including a perfect host, thanks Kathryn,hope to see you again soon.

We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

I highly recommend this beautiful house in a quiet and peaceful location. Jill was an excellent host, helpful and informative and the house was spotlessly clean with excellent amenities. The surrounding fields had newborn lambs and free range chickens which added to the atmosphere. if you come across this property when looking for a place to stay, look no further and book it immediately.

A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Fizz, fresh bread and homemade jam to greet us. Lovely warm and surprisingly large cottage with a gorgeous view of the ford. Great walks straight from the door with wildlife aplenty (sadly no red squirrels but our host did point us to a hotel where we managed to see them). All in all, a cracking place to stay.

Lovely warm welcome in pretty, cosy cottage. Lots of treats for us in the kitchen. Large kitchen table perfect for eating round. Spacious lounge with big comfy sofa and big TV. Both bedrooms pretty with nice views. Large bathroom. Dog made very welcome too. Helen is very friendly and helpful. It was a flying visit for us so I can’t comment on the area except that it’s very pretty and peaceful.

The cottage was beautiful, perfect for our family weekend away The surrounding area is stunning with some amazing walks, pubs/food within walking distance. There was some confusion over parking which was resolved, there is a bay big enough for a couple of cars. Thank you Lynn

Catherine is an excellent host, great communication and keen that everything is ok, quick response to queries raised. lovely welcome touch, of milk, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit juice jam, butter and apples and a supply of tea and coffee. Lovely compact cottage with a good kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave. peaceful and quiet, away from everything but only a short drive in to Kendal

Lovely peaceful location. Andrew answers quiries very quickly. Perfect location to visit family in Staining. Lots of personal touches that made the stay. We have a big pick up, so getting in and out of the drive was tight, but doable.

Wow! 4 of us stayed here this weekend, and it was amazing, the photos don’t do the room size justice, the log burner was a great touch and so lovely for young adults to sit down and enjoy it. Walkable from every shop and easy walks near by. Great communication. Couldn’t fault our stay.

this is a beautiful cottage set in a lovely quiet location in walking distance to some nice pubs and villages. Deborah and Tim are both lovely, welcoming and we're helpful with information on the surrounding area for walking and places to visit, they have also a lovely cottage that's been done to a very high standard and has everything in you need. the log fire is lovely and the bedroom with a copper bathtub and shower are just amazing, can't wait to return thank you so much.

A beautiful cottage, exactly as described. We had such a great family getaway in beautiful surroundings. The cottage had everything we needed and was immaculate. Lovely, rural village with things to do only a short drive away. Peter and Kate were great; it really was a home away from home and we’ll definitely be back.
