Studio in quiet central location with patio

The hosts, Gerður and Óskar, were responsive and proactive in ensuring all was going well during my one week stay by checking in part-way through my stay. I appreciated the privacy given by both the location of the property and the hosts themselves. The location and property, located in Kópavogu, was exactly as described and it was a great jumping off point for exploring the surrounding rural areas and Reykjavik by car. Kópavogur is also more accessible to the airport (KEF) and south-western Iceland. I enjoyed discovering shops, restaurants and bakeries in Kópavogur as it is a more relaxed atmosphere than downtown Reykjavik which is also very accessible from this location. Thank you Óskar and Gerður for hosting me with Icelandic hospitality! Takk :)

Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

We had such an incredible stay here. Katrin was very helpful and had plenty recommendations for us. The cabin is in such a beautiful location, we had a perfect view and even managed to see the northern lights from the hot tub. One of the best holidays I've had. Can't recommend this cabin enough!

This feels like less of a "review" and more of our most sincere and incredibly heartfelt Thank You to Zoei and Bab. We came to Iceland for our secret elopement and booked our flights only after finding this Airbnb... we knew it was the perfect setting for our private ceremony, and there are truly no words to describe just how magical Zoei's Garden is. From the moment we walked in, we could feel the immense care and love and spiritual energy that they have poured into every corner of this home / property. The private hot spring lagoon was the most magical we experienced our entire time in Iceland. This home is by far the best kept secret on Airbnb, and hands down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at. Zoei was extremely communicative and helpful and so sweet and kind. It felt like we were staying at the home of a dear friend. We will never forget Zoei's Garden and cannot wait to come back. The Brekka Retreat was truly a gem 💎 Stunning views to wake up to. Love the large windows. We saw the northern lights from the hot tub the first night, really could not ask for more! It had all the amenities we needed and then some. Super easy to check in and communication was always very fast. The hosts were very friendly and very well prepared with instructions and recommendations. Such beauty to take in while we were drinking our morning coffee, it was hard to leave to go elsewhere. And always a cozy & warm welcome home after a long day of exploring the land of fire and ice. Would love to stay here again! :)

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The location was ideal, offering breathtaking views of the mountains. The space was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, making us feel right at home. We especially loved the little touches like the local recommendations. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bed was super comfortable. David’s place was perfect! The pictures are exactly what the flat looks like in person! David was kind enough to allow me to check in early which was amazing given that my flight arrived at 7am! I know that’s not always possible and I appreciated his flexibility. David also provided me information on parking nearby, which was helpful since there is no parking with the flat. I would definitely stay here again!

Even though we never met Jean-Didier or his family in person, we felt welcomed like long-time friends to live in his home and take care of it while he was on holiday. His suggestions for activities were perfect and well-suited for our family. Even though much of Reykjavik is walkable from his home, we were there during the New Year's celebrations and found the bus service to be easy to use and the bus stop was very near by. The entire week we were in Iceland, we never felt like we needed a car. Our only regret is that we did not stay long enough to see everything we wanted to see. We are sure to be back, sometime soon!

This place was a dream. Having stayed at dozens of AirBnBs in Iceland, this is in our top! It was tranquil and Elisabet and Rosa were communicative and it’s clear they take pride in their home. It was beautiful, and there were amenities that made traveling with an infant smooth and comfortable for us. There were so many thoughtful touches and it was squeaky clean. We saw the aurora two out of three nights which was nothing short of magical. It was the ideal stay in a beautiful place!
