“The best air b&b we have stayed in”. The guesthouse we stayed in was perfect. The place is extremely clean and well thought out, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The personalised note inside upon check in was such a lovely touch. The hot tub is easy to use and the geothermal water is welcome after a long day of exploring Iceland. The views from the cabin are also breathtaking. Sabine is a great and responsive host, providing really detailed instructions before check in and getting back to queries quickly. We also both really enjoyed our walking tour with her wonderful horses today. Could not recommend this place enough, as my boyfriend said while staying there “I think this is the best air b&b we have ever stayed in”…I couldn’t agree more!!

Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

The best place we stayed at during our short time in Iceland. We spent the night in the hotub looking out on the mountains. We then cooked a meal in the kitchen and spent time playing cards. It was an extremely clean and modern Airbnb and it was just what we were looking for. If we come back to Iceland again this will definitely be one of the spots we stay at!

Beautiful home in an incredible location. The view on the lake and the mountain is just perfect for a moment of respite. Having the horses as neighbours, the Hvammsvik Hot Springs less than 10min away, easy access to Golden Circle and even 2h away from Snaesfellsjokull Peninsula, it is just the perfect location. House is pristine, extremely well equipped with highest standard furnitures. Margaret is an amazing host, very fast to answer any request. We even had the opportunity to see the Northern Lights directly from the deck. Very highly recommended

First time Airbnb for me and this place couldn’t have been any better. Really easy to find and get in the cabin. Kitchen well stocked, loads of beds and a cosy living space. Hot tub was great despite how cold the weather was. Location great for golden circle as well as traveling along the southern coast.

Checkin was a breeze and Alfa was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. Truly a beautiful home with everything you need, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Views from the home are absolutely stunning and the interior is very warm and welcoming. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to visit again.

Kristin‘s place was fully stocked, extremely easy to find and flexible timing when checking in and checking out! It was peaceful and a beautiful location. I would recommend this to anybody who has a family or traveling with multiple families.

We had a great time at the cabin! Actually, one of the highlights was our host Ylfa, who was always very helpful, provided a lot of very detailed information up front and reacted very quickly to all remaining questions we had - the communication was really a pleasure to us and on a level I have not experienced on Airbnb before. About the cabin: Our kids (3 and 6 years old) very much liked what they referred to as "the play cave", which is the upstairs sleeping loft. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary things needed, far exceeding what would be minimal kitchen setup. Another highlight to us was the hot tub, which we used almost every day (despite wind and a bit of rain outside). The open view towards the west is very suitable to search for Northern Lights in the dark or just watch the stars. We mainly used the cabin as our homebase to different day tours around in western Iceland. In total, we really had a great time!

We loved our stay at this house! Spent two nights in Reykjavik and this was a great spot to walk to everything. Neighborhood felt safe, we let our teens walk home at night by themselves. House was adorable, everything as described and very comfortable. Loved the character and charm of an older home! Bjorn was responsive and I would stay here again. Thanks!
