Great weekend away for Valentine’s Day, close to Durham for a day out and very relaxing to come back and spend time in the hot tub, overall a great experience :)

We booked very last minute for one night but I’m so glad we did!! I wish we had booked a couple nights but it was absolutely gorgeous none-the-less. Perfect location, really private and peaceful. Very romantic for a couple. Really well thought about and we absolutely loved having the privacy mirror windows, as we kept the curtains open at night so we could wake up to the view. It was stunning. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be returning for a getaway

Lovely place to stay, very clean and comfy very cosy! Lots of animals paid us a visit so make sure to shut the door! We were told the ducks and goats will come inside! Lovely lakes if you like fishing or just walking around. The watermill restaurant really lovely food. Beds were extremely comfortable. Lovely lodge would definitely recommend.

What a beautiful place , Angus met us there and was so welcoming , accommodating and overall lovely ! Close to shops and 10 minutes from the centre of Durham , thank you so so much ! Can't thank them enough

What can I say about staying in Ash lodge?! Our hosts Allison and Jonathan were wonderful. Provided us with all the information we would need and were quick to respond when we needed them! Friendly, welcoming and all round lovely hosts! To top it off, as we left, Jonathan helped us get our car out of the snow and gave us a tow up to the car park - not all hero’s wear capes! We practically lived in the hot tub in the evenings. The instructions in the handbook are easy to follow. The tub was fun to get going and even more fun to enjoy! Now how about that cheese? It was phenomenal! I recommend getting the cheese board add on when you come. Also the breakfast pack is amazing! The lodge was clean, tidy, uncluttered, and had the most wonderful warm homely feel. The amenities were everything we needed for the weekend. Highlight of our stay would have to be the moment my partner proposed to me IN the hot tub! It has been the most MAGICAL experience. We even got to see shooting stars!

Me and my partner had a wonderful stay at Pete’s cabin. It was lovely and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing. Pete was always on hand to help re heat the hot tub. The fresh eggs from the hens were a great addition and were very tasty! Overall it was an amazing stay and would highly recommend Pete’s cabin to anyone wanting a lovely peaceful get away!

Kit was so friendly and helpful. Her place was really lovely, so cosy and beautifully decorated. Stowaway is so well equipped too. Furniture was comfy and we loved the bed! We had fantastic nights sleep and the area is so quiet and peaceful. Runswick Bay is a lovely place to stay, particularly out of season when it’s not so busy. Thank you Kit, this was the perfect getaway for us.

no matter that the weather was poor access to a beach is always a must and we could walk out of the static and in 2 minutes we had the beach to ourselves and a 4 mile walk with sea rolling in. everything was provided, even a cinema surround which was great so we could watch Downton Abbey , what a treat. The site is a couple of minutes from all the local resources so would be great for young families too.

What an incredibly, thoughtful and stunning place. It is an absolute dream place and space for anxious dogs and their even more anxious owners. The thought to that has gone in to creating a safe and wonderful break for our delicate little souls is so heartwarming in such times like these. Everything from the generosity of the hosts , the impeccable living area. , amazing space to park and still so much grass in the secure enclosure for little legs to run free .

From booking till we got there nothing was a chore to Lynn. Details to the caravan were spot on and access to the keys was easy. The caravan was spacious and despite the gales we had at the weekend was warm. Everything we needed was found in the caravan and the milk for a cuppa on arrival was appreciated, especially considering late arrival. We will definitely be looking to stay again when we are up visiting friends and family again.

Lovely 2 nights break, well equipped and clean and tidy. Beautifully set up. Fire pits were a lovely extra. Would definitely visit again. Abbie was helpful and responsive also. Thank you 😊

We enjoyed our stay - very peaceful and the place is 10/10⭐️ same as described and whats on ad. The staff are also friendly and they are responsive to our question even if its already late in the evening. Can’t wait to go back ❤️❤️❤️ I highly recommend this place!

My family and I had a great few nights staying here. The place is beautiful and my kids absolutely loved sleeping on the mezzanine. The lodge was immaculate and way more spacious than I anticipated. The views were amazing and the kids loved visiting the sheep and horses every morning. There was plenty to do close by too. Lucy provided us with information on places the visit in the area, along with a few restaurants that we went to and they were all great! We will definitely be returning with family in the summer. We had the best time!!

We had a lovely stay at the cabin, and would definitely go back! The cabin is really cosy and really nicely decorated. The Christmas tree was also a lovely touch! The bed was comfortable and we had a great night’s sleep. We had dinner in the nearby pub, which was excellent. We only stayed for one night and really wish that we could have stayed longer. I really enjoyed watching the sunrise in come up in the morning - the light was beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful surroundings, beautiful lodge....comfy beds,lots of towells and lovely bedding.....would highly recommend ,felt right at home as sooon as we arrived and we will definitely be staying again .....hot tub on point ,very clean, lovely and warm all day ...Will is a brilliant host and is clearly dedicated to his business....we have had the best time 😊😊😊

Was value for money compared to other hot tub nights away me and my partner have had. Was clean, modern and the views were lovely. Everything you would want for a quiet night away. Will definitely book again in the future.

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying here in a lodge named The Lookout. Finding the location was simple, thanks to the clear instructions provided. The lodge was very modern with lots of natural light, thanks to the huge windows that offered stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Very well equipped with all essentials. The hot tub was private and the temperature was just right. Emily and Callum were exceptional hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Can’t wait to return. Wholeheartedly recommend.

What a beautiful, secluded spot in the heart of North York Moors. If you're looking for tranquility, peace and isolation (in a good way) then this spot is for you. Plenty of great food places nearby and lots of walks and chances to be wild and free.

The cabins are so unique and wonderful. There was 4 of us and we had a fantastic time. All info provided was extremely useful and Alasdair was very accommodating. Thank you so much Alasdair for having us, you were a wonderful host and we hope to come back again in the summer!! :)
