Nature eco lodge holiday rentals in Honshu

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this lodge! The location is perfect—just a short walk to Echoland, the supermarket, and the bus stop, making it incredibly easy to get to the ski resorts. We spent almost a month here and were thoroughly impressed with the comfort and convenience. Nick and Hiro’s hospitality truly made our experience even more special. We’re beyond satisfied and can’t wait to return next season. Thank you both for making our stay unforgettable!

Jacob and Josie and Justin at Altitude Madarao looked after us really well. They provide breakfast every day with variety of choices. There’s a slope just about less than 100m walk and you can get lift passes and gear rental in the shop near carpark 7. Great host overall, highly recommended to anyone. They try to create homely atmosphere, where we felt from the day one. Thanks team Altitude Madarao..

I felt so lucky to have booked a room at Ado’s place. He was available at all time to assist and went above and beyond to help me after I had a bad injury on the 2nd day of my ski trip. He helped me move around, stay an extra night and also helped me get to my bus stop with all my luggage. I’d 100% stay here again knowing the service level.

Great lodge in a beautiful area. Kieren was super kind and helpful for our whole stay, going out of his way for us, and making delicious food every morning and night. We were able to chat with other guests during the meals, but also we could choose not to. There is a nice spacious bath which we were able to use all to ourselves at a time of our choosing (there were few other guests). I can't recommend this place enough, if you're in the area definitely stay here!

Great atmosphere. Felt right at home with my 2 kids. Very comfortable hanging out in the common areas with lots of fire places. Nick very helpful speaking very good english

Our stay in Myoko was made absolutely perfect thanks to our incredible Airbnb host, Sasa! From the moment we booked, his communication was prompt and friendly. He picked us up when we arrived late to Akakura Onsen during heavy snowfall! The accommodation itself was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed after long days on the slopes. The location was ideal - just a 15 minute walk into town. What truly made the experience special was Sasa’s warmth and hospitality. He went above and beyond, providing a delicious breakfast every morning, drive us to a different ski resort every day and pick us up in the afternoon, gave us so much advice and help, and one of the members of our group injured his knee, Sasa very generously would drive us into town for dinner as he couldn’t walk anymore. It felt less like staying at an Airbnb and more like visiting a friend’s home. We left Myoko with amazing memories and a deep appreciation for Sasa’s kindness. We HIGHLY recommend!

This place is very nice and he is a great host. The location is perfect for ski trips or adventuring in the mountains. We had a group of 5 and it fit us perfectly.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The baths were great, and the vibe of our apartment perfectly reminded the traditional Japanese style, which we loved! The breakfast included was also a real plus. Thank you very much for everything you offer, highly recommend!

Expectations all exceeded. Warm and cozy common area was perfect for quiet reading and drinking tea next to the wood stove. We really enjoyed the gourmet breakfasts and dinners while having a chat with visitors from around the world. Staff hospitality was excellent; professional and friendly, offering warm greetings and help with carrying bags. Location at Madarao made for an extremely convenient powder day; driving to Nozawaonsen and Kurohime from there was easy enough.

We had a lovely stay at the lodge. It was perfect for our ski trip - being close to the mountains and convenient for ski rentals. The team made it easy for us throughout our stay including getting to and leaving the area. The common area was cozy and perfect to relax in during bad weather.

Such a memorable place to stay. Fabulous hosts, clean and comfortable rooms, fabulous food and best of all were the memorable interactions with the hosts. We can’t WAIT to go back and had such an amazing holiday. Very highly recommend this fantastic place. Have already recommended to numerous friends !

It was a great place to stay with no complaints.I was nervous because I was a beginner, such as ignition of the sauna and BBQ, and the management of firewood, but I was able to see the instructions in a video that was easy to understand, so I was able to remember it right away.The sauna was well hot, and the water bath and open-air jacuzzi were excellent.I also liked the amenity tree toothbrushes.There were also a lot of towels, which was very helpful.I was able to spend a relaxing time in a private space without worrying about the sound of the neighbors, and my dog seemed to have a lot of fun running around the grass.I was quick to respond to emails with my host, Toshi, and I felt safe.I wish I could have stayed one more night.I will definitely be staying here again!

I was told that there was a meal option, so I only asked for dinner and breakfast for one night, but I stayed.I ate the course of the owner's good Russian cuisine for the first time, but it was very delicious (especially the mushroom cream boiled pie was excellent).The inn is a cute inn in the plateau of Urabandai, with a total of 7 rooms, and the room I stayed in was neat and tidy, and I had a comfortable stay.We also stayed in an American motorcycle touring group on the day of our stay, and it was a good memory to have fun and laugh.The owner's way of treating guests was also very wonderful and enjoyable.I would definitely recommend you to order an optional dinner for those who book in the future (the price at the time of the stay was 4500 yen for dinner and 1500 yen for breakfast.Dinner is available from 18:30 for breakfast from 7:30).In addition, if you are staying without meals, there is a 7-Eleven about a 15-minute walk away, so you can buy a lunch box there (you can use the microwave) There is also a 5-color swamp, Lake Hibara, and a ski resort nearby, so you can enjoy it all year round.(I think the autumn foliage season is probably very beautiful) It was a very nice stay.I'll be back❗

It was a hateful rain, but I was able to warm up in the hot spring twice. The😃 staff's response was also very nice!The accommodation was clean and comfortable!I want to go again!

the owner are the most heart warming folks that i have encountered. the air bnb feels like home and even its winter, the place is always warmed up for the guests. i also love how friendly the other guests were. everyone just gathered and chit chat no matter which country you came from. 100% for this place. the shared onsen was also great with fantastic snow cap mountain view. i will definitely come back here again if i ever come back to asakusa again. take care and stay healthy till we meet again. 😀

Use for the third time.I had a party with music privately, but since this time, there was also a large speaker in the open air, and I had a satisfying event.Until now, it was only indoors due to weather problems, but I am very satisfied with being able to use the outdoor for the first time.As usual, everyone was kind and helpful.I hope to use it again next year.

We loved staying at Naomi's place. Nori and Naomi were super friendly and helpful. Nori speaks excellent English too.
