Nature eco lodge holiday rentals in Honshu

The hosts, Seko and Hiro were super friendly and helpful. Their communication before the trip was excellent. My son and I were there for skiing and Seko had the inside scoop on daily snow conditions at the local ski resorts. As skiers know, this area gets crazy amounts of snow and Hiro always had the parking area cleared of snow well before anyone was up. The included breakfast was a nice touch, all prepared by Seko and her help. You can get dinner at the lodge which is nice since restaurants are a bit of a walk into town. The food they serve is excellent and very affordable, some of the ingredients are grown on their farm. There's a warm room for drying ski boots and snow scrapers/brush are available if you are using a car. I would absolutely stay there again. Thank you Seko and Hiro!

Jacob and Josie and Justin at Altitude Madarao looked after us really well. They provide breakfast every day with variety of choices. There’s a slope just about less than 100m walk and you can get lift passes and gear rental in the shop near carpark 7. Great host overall, highly recommended to anyone. They try to create homely atmosphere, where we felt from the day one. Thanks team Altitude Madarao..

The place is secluded, tug a few hundred meters away from the busy main town, yet very accessible to the town and ski resort by foot. I came in the winter and the scenery is just unreal. The house itself is wooden structure and it's warm and very cozy, feel right at home. Even though it is shared bathroom and toilet, they were all maintained very well and clean. I stayed in a single room that is actually large enough to fit three people, which made me very comfortable. Lastly, Ado is an amazing person, straight forward, reasonable, helpful, cool and very friendly. The other staffs were also very chill to vibe with. Overall, my stay here was excellent, and I would recommend this place to anyone who is in no hurry, and just want a place to chill, or just want a cozy place to rewind after a long day of adventure out there. 這間乾淨，溫暖，老闆員工好相處，非常酷又很有家的感覺。是個出去玩一天後可以好好休息的地方。

Great lodge in a beautiful area. Kieren was super kind and helpful for our whole stay, going out of his way for us, and making delicious food every morning and night. We were able to chat with other guests during the meals, but also we could choose not to. There is a nice spacious bath which we were able to use all to ourselves at a time of our choosing (there were few other guests). I can't recommend this place enough, if you're in the area definitely stay here!

It is located in the best location 10 seconds to the beach. The facilities are clean, of course, and the sister of the staff is also beautiful. The bath was also available 24 hours a day, and I slept well at night while listening to the sound of the waves. Please let me stay again.

This place is very nice and he is a great host. The location is perfect for ski trips or adventuring in the mountains. We had a group of 5 and it fit us perfectly.

Kazumi was very friendly, helpful, and responsive. We stayed for two nights and she made sure we had everything we needed, gave us directions to a ski resort when Google was wrong, and recommended multiple local attractions to visit. We will definitely stay there again.

This place is right on the hill, just ski in and ski out but with that closeness comes hearing the groomers in the early morning. With check in during snow season you can drop anything you are prepared to carry after 9am, but heavy snowboard bags or other things you don't want to drag uphill through the snow 200m, he will collect at 4.30pm for you. I turned up at 4.30pm for this reason. This is the only issue if you want to turn up early and don't need to check in late. Host is a lovely guy and a fantastic cook. Food was abundant to say the least and English was passable. Rooms and amenities are fine and he does offer whisky and coke which I personally found a massive bonus! Recommend, I would certainly come back here again.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The baths were great, and the vibe of our apartment perfectly reminded the traditional Japanese style, which we loved! The breakfast included was also a real plus. Thank you very much for everything you offer, highly recommend!

Anne and her team made us feel right at home. She was accommodative to our requests right from the start even when we had to make changes. She had great recommendations and we love the team and the breakfast every morning. The communal area at breakfast also gave us the chance to speak to the other guests in the morning. Would highly recommend if you’re thinking of a cosy cabin that’s convenient for snowboarding or skiing

We had a lovely stay at the lodge. It was perfect for our ski trip - being close to the mountains and convenient for ski rentals. The team made it easy for us throughout our stay including getting to and leaving the area. The common area was cozy and perfect to relax in during bad weather.

The place is amazing for a getaway from city life. We could just stay there for the weekend and enjoy the surrounding countryside. It looked exactly like the picture provided. Toshi is very responsive and helpful. We really owe him big time. He made sure that our needs were met. Toshi and his team are simply the best!

Use for the third time.I had a party with music privately, but since this time, there was also a large speaker in the open air, and I had a satisfying event.Until now, it was only indoors due to weather problems, but I am very satisfied with being able to use the outdoor for the first time.As usual, everyone was kind and helpful.I hope to use it again next year.

What a magical place to stay. It snowed overnight and we woke to snow covered trees and rocks. We are a family of 4 with 2 young boys. They loved the cabin. Lots of room and great kitchen amenities. The onsen was a great experience for the boys. Restaurant on-site was delicious, the vending machine to order was interesting to work out. The staff helped us with that. They even gave the boys some Japanese snacks which was a nice touch. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. A hidden gem which I’m so glad we stumbled upon. Lots of cool rivers, bridges and waterfalls to visit around the area

We loved staying at Naomi's place. Nori and Naomi were super friendly and helpful. Nori speaks excellent English too.

Very nice place to stay

It was a place I definitely want to come back to someday. There were no difficulties by texting us with precautions or check-in/check-out instructions. I was also very satisfied with the hot springs in the evening. It was interesting because there were many types of tangs. Above all, I was touched by the host's kindness. We appreciated your efforts to communicate in Korean as much as possible. And even though we checked out quickly, we missed the bus, and the host personally drove us by car. These are truly unforgettable memories. Thanks to you, I had a good trip. We wish you all the best in 2025 ╰(* ´ `*)╯

I entered the hot spring after checking out, but the open-air bath was also spacious and very relaxing.It was nice to have a small but sauna.
