It was a beautiful place with a great surrounding area being close to a lot of food and entertainment spots. Definitely recommended others to give this place a try.

Everything was great during our stay! Was the perfect place to stay with our dogs. It had everything we needed and it felt like we were right at home. Definitely would stay here again!

Nine of us stayed there for two nights to attend a wedding in Big Lake. While we were all related, there were five family units. There are three bedrooms, one bathroom and a living area on the floor as you enter and another bedroom and bath room upstairs on the same floor as the kitchen and living area. One single person slept on a sofa rather than pull out the sofa bed each night. Sleeping arrangements worked fine for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped, but we did no cooking since we were there for wedding festivities.

Nice cozy place with a fireplace and open kitchen, plenty of sleeping spaces. Easy communication with the host. If we need to stay in this area again, we'll definitely check for Whitney's place!

From the moment we walked in the door the house exceeded our expectations. Quiet, inviting and close to Hatcher Pass and Palmer. Master bedroom was serene and the backyard was great to relax in the afternoon sun. Would love to stay here again.

We had a beautiful stay in Alaska. The cabin was perfect for our needs. The location had a pond and a family of swan visitors every morning. The location was close the activities we wanted to enjoy. The cabin was decorated lovely, the bed was comfy and it had all the amenities we needed. We would definitely recommend. Thank you!

The place was great. The kitchen was amazing. It was great to have laundry on site. The Bathroom has a very nicely updated. The only issues we found while there—which was not the cabin’s fault— we both have bad backs, was the bed was not very comfortable – was the bed and the couch were not comfortable for us. If you’re old or have a bad back, maybe this isn’t the best for you. Otherwise this place was amazing!

The spacious living area was perfect for gathering with family, while the outdoor space offered a lovely backdrop for post-dinner relaxation. We even enjoyed some beautiful walks in the nearby surroundings. Overall, this Airbnb provided the perfect setting for a memorable Thanksgiving celebration. Beautifully appointed, exceptionally responsive, lovely spot.

Overall, we had a nice/fun stay at Destiny’s! The place was clean, and quiet! The s’mores and hot tub were a nice touch! Destiny was very communicative and was quite helpful when we had to deal with some technical issues with Airbnb. The only issue for us was that the hot tub was too close to the host’s residence. The camper was not very far either, it was within earshot/eye-view of the host’s house so it did not feel very private or secluded. Although, this was the case, it should be noted that the hosts were very quiet, and respectful! Thank you kindly for your hospitality!

It was a great location, easy to find. It was perfect for us, we went to have Thanksgiving with family. We did have a couple problems with the lock, Lindsay response was very quick and helpful. We will book again

My husband stayed at Jim’s property for three nights and there are not enough great things I can say about it. The cabin is beautiful and we felt right at home. Jim greeted us as soon as we arrived and showed us the cabin and the property. The hot tub was easy to use and so nice to hang out in. We had a lovely evening hanging out with Jim and Teresa one night too. Fishing from the dock was fun too and there are a bunch of ways to get on the water if you would like too. The place was clean and clearly very loved. Overall this is a beautiful property and our time here was just perfect. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful, spacious home. My two friends and I spent Christmas Eve and Day here. Playing board games, cooking dinners, and relaxing in the hot tub. The lake was frozen but it would be cool to see it in the summer. Great stay. Would book again.

Love this cabin and the amenities it offered! Wish I had booked it for two or more nights instead of just one! Quiet, peaceful and right in Big Lake! I will be back!

All the amenities of home in the seclusion of Alaska, just 15 minutes off the well-beaten path! This place was just as lovely as the pictures show, if not better. We enjoyed the hot tub each night after long days exploring the lake and surrounding areas. The waterfowl and wildlife were unmatched. The WiFi was even better than back home. All facilities were immaculately maintained and well cared for and you can tell the folks that care for this cabin take a lot of pride in it. Please note: This cabin is truly off the well-beaten path. The last 10-15 minutes to the cabin include a mix of gravel roads and one ways. Jennifer went above and beyond in being communicative and transparent with us about the location and accessibility of this cabin and we knew what we were getting into. We were thrilled to stay in such a tranquil place where we saw only one car go by in 3 days! We will definitely be back!

We are locals and wanted a quick winter getaway to celebrate my 50th birthday. We played card games and really enjoyed the search for the disco light switch. The bedding was comfortable and clean. We did not use the showers, sauna or “spa.” It was really relaxing and fun and we will book again sometime as well as recommend it to our visiting guests this summer. There was a tremendous amount of craftsmanship and imagination Jon has put into this place, and appreciate him preserving a piece of history.
