Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Isla Bastimentos

Enjoyed 5 nights in the 2 bed apartment. Place was clean and just close enough to Bocas town center. Would stay here again. If you want a private dock this place is not it!

Great location and very relaxing near the sea. This place is old but has everything you need (even Airco) and there will be some ants and bugs but hey this is Bocas. Best host ever, we forgot the little pluchetoy of our son and Benson was so nice to put it on a taxiboat to Bassimentos Island, wow!!

We had an incredible few days staying in this beautiful bungalow over the water. It was the perfect getaway for our group of 3 girls! The setting was so peaceful and relaxing, with the sounds of the water right outside our door. The bungalow itself was spotless and well-maintained, which made us feel right at home. The location was ideal – easy to access and just a quick taxi ride into town whenever we wanted to explore. It was easy to catch a taxi or a turismo car right outside her place ($1 pp!). Our host was wonderful, providing fantastic recommendations for things to do and places to eat, which made our trip even better. Overall, this was a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Bocas del Toro. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a calm, comfortable stay with easy access to Bocas Town!

Wonderful family vacation spot with numerous beautiful beaches accessible by kayak or walking . Easy to arrange tours with local captain /caretaker ( Shambu & Villemir) who knew the best spots and would check on us daily . Home is spectacular and has everything needed . Can’t wait to visit again !

The location was great and the house it’s a lot bigger than it looks in the photos. We had more than everything we needed in the house. Sandra was very kind! :)

I just finished a month long stay at Allison and Sergio’s rental. The home was exactly as described, very clean and had everything available you may need-pots, pans, toiletries, etc. The downstairs area is open air, which makes you feel you are a part of the lovely surroundings. I saw beautiful birds and one day some monkeys in the trees near the balcony upstairs. I was worried about bugs in the downstairs space but there are fans, which helps and never felt like a big issue. This is also a great spot, outside the business of town but close enough to get there quickly for dinner/groceries. I rented a scooter for the month and this was a great way to get around. Also, having air conditioning made my stay very comfortable. Finally, one of the best part of the stay was meeting Allison and Sergio. They were so friendly, helpful and gave privacy despite being nearby. They are lovely and wonderful to deal with. Don’t hesitate to stay here. I was thrilled with my choice!

This airbnb has been one of the best airbnb's we've ever stayed in. First of all, the location is pretty great, not too far from town but also far enough to feel like you are in the middle of the jungle. Less than 2 minutes from the ocean as well. We saw so many monkeys from the balcony during our stay, it was so cool! Secondly, its extremely well equipped. We had all sorts of kitchen appliances, and utensils we never even knew we needed. We had tons of beach towels, snorkel gear, big TVs, desk setting, smart toilet, reclining beds, great wifi. Lastly the hosts were extremely communicative, and super helpful with everything. I would definitely stay here again.

Tropical Suites is the perfect place to stay in Bocas! Between the pool and restaurant overlooking the gorgeous water, a swim up bar that makes delicious cocktails and smoothies, the large and comfortable bedrooms, the friendly and hospitable staff, and the ideal location in Bocas Del Toro, it is hard to beat Tropical Suites. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it to future travelers!

Lucas was helpful with instructions and travel trips pror to my arrival. He and Gloria were very friendly and welcoming my entire stay. The apartment was just as described and provided everything I needed. It was great to see, hear and experience the wildlife and Lucas sharing his knowledge of the animals. It was a wonderful a relaxing 5 days. I look forward to visiting again!

Great premium hostel with a good restaurant I would recommend

The stay at Julieta's place was great. It was all as it was stated and Julieta was incredibly helpful! She was always responsive and helped with all our questions within a very short time. The location was perfect for us as it was a little away from the center of town and thus also offered a quieter retreat. In general: If you are on bastimentos, you should be aware that there are animals that can be a little louder in the forest (earpax remedy with light sleep). But since we wanted exactly this experience, we can fully recommend the place.

My experience in this stay was excellent. The place is as shown in the photos: clean, comfortable and ideally located. The host was very attentive, always willing to help and provide local recommendations. I felt at home from the start. I would definitely recommend and would come and stay here again on future visits. Laura's place is very clean, safe, has parking space and an airconditioning that cooled down properly. The towels are amazing - you feel like in a luxury hotel. and the bed slept perfect after a long drive. Really nice. Almirante is not the most exciting place to stay, but it was a very good stay over on our way to the Island Bocas. Via Laura we got a friend's address to park our car for a few days. Perfect. And there the neighbour is a taxi driver and he drove us to the water taxi. We had heard so many stories about the chaos of going to Bocas: we didn't experience any of that because we felt we were in good hands. The advantage sometimes of finding a place via airbnb. Thanks Laura.

We had a pleasant stay at Ricardo's and his family's. La casita is located on their property in a beautiful garden. The neighborhood is quiet and yet 12 minutes by taxi or scooter from Bocas. You have the small restaurant Dosha 3 min walk which is excellent or Skully's 5 min walk which will also allow you to rent scooters, quad bikes, bikes etc… Ricardo is a great host. He was very responsive, considerate, friendly while respecting our privacy. It even allowed us to arrive well before check-in and leave well after check-out! Thanks again Ricardo;-)

Camila's place was the perfect fit for our group. We were there to surf and it has great access to the waves. Steps away from Tiger Tails, a 5 minute walk to Paunch, and 10-15 minute scooter rides to Bluff or down into town to grab a water taxi to spots on the other islands.

Wish I would have stayed here for my whole trip. Great little apartment that was comfortable with far more accommodations than a hotel. I had a great stay and Morgan and Danielle were very friendly, helpful and responsive to questions.

The place was as expected or better, the location is fantastic because it's in the center area but still not too close to the noisy places, being on the 3rd floor helped. I'd go back to Dea's place, no question about it. There are cheaper and more expensive options around but I think this is a very good sweet spot, everything was clean, we felt safe and comfortable at all times! We had no trouble with the stairs but keep in mind that if you go with someone who has difficulty walking, going up to the 3rd floor where the condo is will be a challenge, we were totally ok with that and as long as you have no mobility impediments, the place is easy to get to. There was a minimal confusion about the locking mechanism at the front door, the bottom locker was loose and we thought it would be a problem but Dea was very responsive and explained how to use the top locker, which was totally fine and eased all our worries. I would recommend it and come back as well.

We enjoyed our stay here. Very suitable for larger families, with good space and well equipped. Quiet and serene yet quick taxi to all the attractions and buzz of Bocas town. Responsive and helpful hosts.
