Holiday rentals with beach access in Isle of Portland

Perfect Airbnb for our Jurassic Coast holiday! The apartment was comfortable, really clean and had everything we needed as a couple with our dogs staying for a long weekend. The location was well placed as it was only a scenic 15 min walk to West Bay, and a short drive to neighbouring beaches like Seatown, Charmouth, and Lyme Regis. Dave was a great host and sent us all the necessary checkin info in advance. Couldn’t have asked for a better Airbnb!

Stayed 2 nights right in heart of Weymouth and location and stay perfect to get around without the need of any taxis.

Very comfortable and well-presented property just minutes from the beach and town centre. Really friendly and responsive host who provided everything we needed. Our kids loved the hedgehog and niffler toys, and the baby bath was really helpful! A bit of a noise from the pub opposite on Sunday night, and not possible to park outside - but these are going to be issues anywhere central in Weymouth, and the station car park is very close, not too expensive and had plenty of space while we were there. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Joy's place was comfortable, convenient, and the view across to the sea was amazing. The light wells make it really bright and give it a feeling of spaciousness. We went to walk the coastpath and this was a great base with buses available in various directions. Joy was really friendly and although we didn't have any problems we felt that she would respond very quickly if we did. It was very nice on arrival to have some provisions and a pint of milk provided so we could have a cup of tea.

Perfect home away from home over the Easter break with an absolutely gorgeous view of the Golden Cap. Howard is a great host. Home is as described. Location is ideal for sightseeing and coastal walks. A 10min walk to Charmouth beach. Lyme Regis is a short drive away with lovely restaurants and cafes. If you see this as an option on Airbnb when planning your next getaway, just book the place!

The Bay House apartment was a great place for a short break. The place was clean, bright and airy with amazing views. It was lovely to sit and watch the boats and fishermen in the harbour. The bed was extremely comfortable with pristine linens. The bathroom was stocked with shower gels and shampoos. Westbay itself is a delightful little harbour town with plenty to see and do on a sunny day. Kiosks line the harbour selling ice creams, fish and chips etc. All in all I would recommend the apartment and the location.

We had a fantastic stay here. The apartment far exceeded our expectations. It was home from home and had everything you'd need. I just hope everyone respects Rachel's lovely place and all her lovely ornaments etc. So much character and very homely. Rachel was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond. Can't recommend this place highly enough. X

The west wing is in a beautiful valley, near lots of walks, beaches and places to eat. The owner gave us a really warm welcome and set us up with everything we needed for our one year old. The place itself is beautiful and very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

A great family home just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Weymouth and the beach. Becca’s place was just what we needed for our Easter family getaway. A three bedroom cottage with a smart TV and small but perfectly functional rear garden. The house is located in a friendly neighbourhood and a great base to explore Weymouth and the wider Dorset area. Lyme Regis and Bournemouth are just under an hour by car and Portland just 20 minutes. Becca was a great host, always responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Our group of eight friends had the most wonderful trip here. The two houses were gorgeous, really stylish and cosy with plenty of room to relax and have dinner together. We enjoyed popping back and forth between them! Super close to the beach and beautiful area. The communication was great and we had everything we needed. We’d love to come back!

This is our second time staying in this lovely caravan. It’s always pristine and lovely. I always felt like a home away from home there. The bedrooms are a good size and the extra full bathroom is a definite plus! I’d highly recommend staying here.

We had a fabulous few days here over the New Year, and would definitely love to return! The perfect spot for some fresh sea air and lovely walks, and a super comfy and cosy house, we loved it, thank you!!

A lovely stay! Easy to find and a great location close to beach. We managed to park right outside the house on the street which we were warned was very narrow. Hosts were extremely responsive to our questions which was appreciated and allowed us to check out a few hours later which was a huge help as we were there for the 70.3 Ironman. House itself was very cosy and perfect for our family of four (2 adults and 2 children). Overall a five star stay! Thank you!

We have just returned from a relaxing 3 days over New Year 2024 to 2025. Ideal size for 3 couples with a bathroom for each couple. Living area was great with a nice modern open plan kitchen living and dining area. Cooking facilities were very good with modern appliances which made catering for our group very easy. Main fridge freezer was complemented by a separate wine cooler All the bedrooms were of a good size as were the beds with the exception of the double in the 3rd bedroom which felt small ( we have a super king at home so it may have just been an adjustment to that ) We stayed close to the house and ate at the Lake Yard which is 5 mins walk away. Whilst it is a members club we were able to book a meal which was subject to a 20% non members price increase. We ate at The Yachtsman on NYE. Luke the host was very responsive and helpful answering any queries quicker than advised and we all appreciated the welcome basket. Good trip had by all

Absolutely perfect place for our group of friends to stay for the weekend . Stunning property, designed and furnished beautifully. Every detail has been considered. The kitchen dining space is unbeatable. Very efficient , informative host made everything super easy . Cannot recommend this beautiful home highly enough .

Apartment as shown on photos, clean with a well equipped kitchen. Central location within West Bay with stunning coastal walks and variety of restaurants. Found Chris to be very friendly and provided helpful information. Look forward to stopping at apartment again.

Amazing place to stay. Short walk to beach/ town. Quiet location. Nice comfortable beds. Excellent shower. Very clean. Decking with seating at the back is in the sun from morning to evening and is secluded. Absolutely 5 Stars and over.

Really enjoyed our stay, great location for exploring the area. The apartment was clean, comfortable and cosy. Beds were really comfortable, bathroom very small but fine for three of us for a few days. We would love to stay again if we return to West bay.

We loved staying at Caroline’s place, it’s really homely with great facilities. It was so nice to be able to walk to the beaches and straight onto the cliff path. We walked to Eype beach which was a pretty easy stroll with great views, and it was lovely to have the harbour on our doorstep.

A lovely apartment for just what we wanted, close to local walks from the location, rooms were a good size and the kitchen/bathroom were clean with all the facilities we needed. Hosts were very friendly and responded super quick to our questions. We would recommend this place!

This was our second visit to Carolyn's apartment in West Bay. We also visited out of season last time - West Bay has a lovely out of summer season vibe! There were plenty of shops and restaurants still open. We did have a dramatic storm for one day, but mostly the weather was dry, sunny and bracing! The apartment is in a great location, and is beautifully maintained - very clean and welcoming. Carolyn is a wonderful host - excellent communication and very useful information from entry details to local amenities.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The views of the beach and the sea are amazing and we spent a lot of time just looking out the window people watching and watching all the dogs! Just be aware that the kitchen is very basic and so are the utensils, we borrowed a bread knife from the cafe downstairs. There is no oven, only a hob, microwave and toaster. The shower room/ toilet is directly next to the bed. We stayed over a weekend and the weather was absolutely beautiful. It can be a bit noisy at night with people leaving the pubs and clubs but that’s just the location of the apartment but worth noting if it is something that bothers you. It can also be quite noisy with people going up and down the stairs to other rooms, and banging doors, the floor above us at 8am on Sunday, sounded like someone was doing a work out or jumping up and down, it made the window in our bedroom shake. It was nicer than staying in a hotel and the views made the other small niggles bearable.
