Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Isle of Portland

A wonderful 2 night break in Clare’s beautiful home. Clare was great in communications, so helpful. A beautiful home with such lovely coastal touches, light , clean, so well equipped, thoughtful touches, super location . Highly recommend it and we’d love to return.

Our stay at Knap House went perfectly. The house was spacious and beautifully decorated, with lovely little touches like fresh milk in the fridge and a cake! It was great space for the number of people we had staying (5) and could have easily accommodated more. It was also close enough to town that when we left we had all of Weymouth on our doorstep. Rachel was a great host, getting in touch with clear instructions before we arrived and clearly being on hand in case we needed her. Overall an excellent stay and would really recommend

The house was a perfect location for us as a family. We regularly visit Swanage and this is now the closest to town we have stayed. You would not think in less than 5 minutes you would be in town due to how quiet it was. House was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Plenty of space for a family of 5. If we needed Anne we knew we could have messaged. We managed to find parking not far from the house so this was also no issue for us. Will look again at staying here as we can not fault it at all. 5*

Accommodation totally met our expectations. Loads of maps etc and local information. Fully enclosed garden which kept our dog safe. On the one wet day, resorted to the extensive DVD & book range. Very comfortable place just to chill and we are looking forward to our next visit.

We had an amazing stay at Matthew’s house for my best friends hen do. The house was beautiful, great location and Matthew was very responsive. Would definitely recommend and return to this house!

We loved our stay at Mel's house it was incredibly clean with so many extras that we haven't had before, staying in other Airbnbs. There was literally everything you needed in the kitchen, bathrooms and even games to play! The welcome gifts were also very much appreciated. The house is in a perfect location, we parked the car and didn't use it again until we left, either walking or taking the train. Great sized rooms with gorgeous furnishings and lovely hotel quality bedding. The little courtyard with outside seating looked fabulous. We would definitely stay here again.

Stay worked very well for our family of 6, with four kids under 8. It was very practical for a short stay. Walk to the bigger beach took about 10 mins but we did have little legs!

We enjoyed our stay at Dave and Pamela's property. We loved that the location was very walkable to the centre of town, off street parking was convenient, and the furnishings were very comfortable. The sunroom and quiet garden were a nice bonus as well! David also provided lots of helpful information on things to do with a just few hours up to a full day excursion.

We had a wonderful couple of days in the annexe which was surrounded by absolutely beautiful countryside. The accommodation was exactly as described. Carol and Derek were perfect hosts.

Accommodation is very homely and comfortable with lots of home comforts. It is a perfect location for access to beach, harbour and town with ease of access to some lovely bars and restaurants. Fantastic location for beautiful walks. We’ve stayed here many times and will do so again.

Great for a little family holiday. was just off the beach only a few minutes walk. Apartment had everything we needed. Were able to get an Asda shopping delivery for check in day that really made life easy with little kids. This area of Swanage doesn't seem to have any food delivery places so you'll need to plan ahead and don't be a townie like us and assume you can order pizza on a Sunday night. Obviously this is not the responsibility of the host but thought this would be useful information for future guests as will be the same for other properties in the area.

Lovely property it had all the amenities. Good location. Near the centre of Swanage, about 10 minute walk. Lots of restaurants and shops. Near the beach. There a smart tv with Netflix, YouTube Disney+, everything you have with smart tv.

This was a great location in Weymouth. It was very walkable to restaurants as well as entertainment. The beach was a short walk away as well. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful long weekend at Michelle’s apartment. Everything was spotless. It’s very well equipped, very comfortable and even more spacious than the photos show. The location is ideal - lots to see and explore in the area and easy walking distance to Poole Quay as well as Hamworthy itself. Communication was excellent and directions were very clear, however, on the day we arrived the path to the steps was all cordoned off by the builders so it took us a while to work out how to get in - Michelle wasn’t to know that. We eventually found our way round via the beach gate. We’d love to return next year and can highly recommend the apartment. Thank you.

Wonderful, just wonderful! My family and I loved our stay in the Sandpearl apartment. Most of all, the view from the living room and the master bed room is just amazing, I could spend hours just watching the sea waves and the beach and listening to the sea... the apartment itself is spotlessly clean and has everything one might need but nothing feels like clutter. The kitchen even included plastic plates and bowls for children, and the living room had a good selection of books and boardgames. The host, Debbie, was very helpful, always responding very quickly. We asked for local recommendations for food on Easter Sunday and got a few options to choose from. The location itself, right at the beach and right in the middle of Weymouth, couldn't be better either. An overall winner that I would highly recommend. Already talking about maybe coming back to this exactly same place again sometime soon!

We had a lovely couple of days stay here. The flat was immaculate and as described. Brilliant instructions of how to access the flat and where to find everything. Really kind extras which were a lovely surprise and just made the stay so much more special. We will definitely be back because of the lovely flat and the location of Corfe castle. Anna's place was perfect for our visit to Weymouth. Very welcome and Friendly hosts with a well equipped apartment. Super clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Nice clean accommodation, well decorated with everything you would need, good communication from Maureen regarding the stay. Tesco nearby for groceries, Cafe 100yds away for coffee and breakfast or dinner. We stayed for a weekend and went to eat at Rick Steins one night and Poole harbour the next night.

Kelly and Scott’s place is beautiful a home from home, everything you’ll need with thoughtful touches. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and had a lovely time reminiscing when we lived in the area 20 years ago. Thank you x
