Holiday rentals with a kayak in Kaiteriteri

Ligar Bay is a fantastic spot, the changing tides provide so much diversity and interest - we kayaked, paddle boarded, walked and swam in the bay and at surrounding beaches and tracks. The house itself is very clean, with beautiful outlook and the garden is lovely. Furnishings and linen are very stylish and beds were comfortable. We found the lack of curtains/blinds a little challenging - there’s a skylight without a blind directly above master bed, one bedroom has no blind and the other had sheers, which provide privacy but no light. We love our sleep in holiday! We also missed having a dishwasher - some wouldn’t care. We appreciated all the pantry staples, great indoor and outdoor showers and water toys available for guests to use. A stunning place!

We had an incredible week staying in Tata in this batch. Loved our stay and the house was perfect! Kylie was very responsive and proactive in her communication. We would love to stay again!

This was a great peaceful place to stay. It allowed us to spread out and enjoy the rural surrounds. The property exceeded our expectations and Alistair was very responsive. To our questions. The new outdoor baths were a favourite, as were the multiple parts of the deck to enjoy at different times of the day.

This is a beautiful place set in an amazing location at the foot of a forest reserve with walking and biking tracks. lovely private back yard with huge entertaining space. Saw lots of wildlife around, birds and rabbits. 10 mins walk through bush or empty road to stunning beach, shop and restaurants. Would definitely go back.

A great holiday home, very comfortable for our family of 5 plus dog. Spotless clean, amazing views and I personally loved the interior design, just beautiful. Paton's rock is a lovely location, a quiet, safe beach, feels like you are away from it all yet just a 10 minute drive to Takaka. Would love to stay here again and for longer.

A wonderful home in a beautiful location with stunning views. We particularly enjoyed the pool, spa and being able to walk to amazing restaurants and wine bar. Sally and Wayne were friendly helpful hosts. Highly recommend staying

This was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed in. The location was perfect, quiet, private with stunning views and within walking distance of the beach. The photos really don’t show just how magnificent the property is. It was so well equipped that it’s clear Nicki, has put a lot of thought into what guests need. There is lots of space, natural light and stunning views from almost every window. The property is also very well furnished and the quality of bedding and towels was a real treat. We stayed for three nights and I could have very easily stayed for three weeks. Nicole was also very helpful with suggestions and really proactive in helping us prepare for our trip. Our stay at Nicki’s has been one of the highlights of our trip.

River Road Retreat was a delight to stay at, and Peter and Rebecca lovely hosts. The cottage is beautiful, clean and in a gorgeous setting surrounded by fields, and with stunning views to the hills in the distance. We loved the welcome bottle of wine and yummy nibbles, as well as the delicious breakfast served every morning. The air is fresh and clean, the water absolutely pure, and after three days we’ve returned home refreshed and reenergised. Wonderful!! Big thanks from us!!!

What an amazing place to stay!!!! The sliding glass doors, which open fully to being in all the best that Ligar Bay holds, were a terrific part of the feel of the hike. Then, there is the enormous deck with chairs to relax in. The kitchen was well stocked, and overall just a wonderful place to stay. Easy walk down to the beach!

We had a great stay at John and Kim’s house, perfect for exploring the area or chilling in Mapua. Made good use of the bikes and the house was well equipped and very comfortable. Hope to be back.

This was our second year in a row staying at Lesley’s place for almost a month, and we’ve already booked for next year. There is an extraordinary peacefulness there; incredible natural light and views; multiple places inside and out to sit and read; sheep that eat right out of our hands; and delightful hosts with whom we shared an enjoyable wine and cheese evening. What more could you ask for?

This is an amazing place well worth the trip! Highly recommend. Amy and Tim are very professional and detailed with check in instructions. The house is gorgeous and well taken care of in a perfect location for exploring Golden Bay. We had everything we needed and enjoyed beach walks and having dinner on the porch looking out at the ocean. Thanks Amy and Tim for such a special stay.
