Wow! Great location, beautiful home and views. Easy drive to some good surf spots and easy 20 min walk or few minute drive into town. This place was the perfect location and the deck is absolutely unreal. Lisette gave great local recommendations as well that did not disappoint. Hoping to come back someday to this beautiful spot!

Beautiful view, fantastic yard, and great hosts. We loved paddleboarding on the lake, playing catch in the back yard, and enjoying the hot tub. It was close to lots of attractions like the luge and redwoods. Aimee and Danny were extremely helpful, kind, and welcoming. Loved the stay!

Mark’s AirBnB is an experience rather than a stay. Is a combination of coastal rural Nz right on the doorstep (short boat ride away) from a bustling town Raglan where there are 5 star restaurants, super markets and everything you would need or expect. And the accomodation itself is nestled on a cliff top with 180 views of the harbour and if Raglan. Private, the feeling of seclusion and neighbour free - the best of both worlds made better by a host that balances your needs with respectful distance. Make a pizza in the wood fired oven and then warm your bones in the spa boat and arching the harbour u til the sun melts away listening to birds evening song. We can’t wait to head back and hopefully catch the big uncle of the 12 lb snapper we caught in the raglan harbour!!! Outstanding place.

Lovely host! Great house, nice & spacious. Lovely shower & bath tub. Kids loved the spa pool. Nice bbq deck area, spent time out here for dinners and morning coffees. NESPRESSO MACHINE ! LOVE!! We took the kayaks out for a spin on the Avon. Was great fun! Highlight of the trip(: Highly recommend

We had a wonderful stay at Seacrest! The house is immaculate, decorated in a calm coastal style, and has lots of space to lounge around and relax - open plan living/dining, a separate TV room, and a large deck that is partially covered. Perfect backyard for a game of cricket or to kick a ball around. Short walk to both the beach and the harbour. The local cafe is probably a 15min walk away which also has fish and chips on offer. The Four Square is a 5min drive away to restock supplies or the large supermarkets in Whakatane are a 15min drive.

Tranquility! A wonderful, peaceful place, still close to everything you need. Omaha Beach is a great location to visit, very laid back and easy going. I went there with my son and we found lots of things to do in the proximity (Sheepworld, Ninja Action, Reptile Park, Snorkling at Goat Island, etc). We loved it! And Grace's place was just amazing!

We enjoyed our stay here. The view is incredible and we loved being able to access the waterfront and use of the kayaks. Margaret was so nice and was always quick to respond to any messages. The property matched the description and photos.

Our stay at the bach was absolutely wonderful - a true retreat by the water. The gentle lapping of the waves is literally just metres from the deck, creating the perfect soundtrack for a relaxing getaway. The setting is both serene and invigorating, with a short but steep climb from the car park to the bach that doubles as a built-in workout. If you need a bit of motivation on the way up, the resident chickens in their coop halfway along the path are there to cheer you on - an unexpected and charming touch! One thing to note is the nearby port, which operates 24/7. While there is some background noise, it’s out of sight from the bedrooms, and if you're a deep sleeper, it won’t be an issue. Lighter sleepers may notice it, but the tranquillity of the surroundings more than makes up for it. If you're planning a visit, my advice is to pack light, settle in, and enjoy every moment. This is a place to switch off, recharge, and soak up the magic of beautiful kiwi bach. Five stars from me!

Rob’s place was great , the back garden with views over the lake were spectacular. Really good to have the use of the kayaks. All in all a wonderful stay for 2 couples, plenty of room . Rob met us for check in and explained everything. Very helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay here, we had a large group staying across the two houses. The setting is very peaceful, the view was incredible and the lawn was perfect for games. We highly recommend this property and will definitely be staying again!

The love shack is the perfect retreat. It’s truly a blend of rustic meets modern in its design. It’s perfect for a couple who want to explore the Rotorua area yet want to get away from the crowds. The birds on the lake and bird songs make for a serene experience. Unfortunately weather kept us off the kayaks but this area of the lake seems fairly protected. There is lots to do in the area if you have the time but you’re better off bringing and preparing your own dinner to take advantage of the lake!

We loved the views from The Bach. Road noise at peak times was a bit annoying but otherwise very private. I had hurt my knee so the stairs down to the commode and bathroom were challenging. otherwise, we enjoyed ourselves. It was a great staging place for me to visit family and go explore new and old haunts. Thank you to the hosts.

Paul and Katalina were super friendly and helpful from the beginning to the end. The accommodation is totally lovingly furnished and has an atmosphere in which you immediately feel comfortable. From the amenities, everything we needed was there. We even enjoyed trying super tasty muffins from Katalina. When our tire had a plate, they were also able to help us immediately with a friend who flicked us the tire. The area in Karikari is also fantastically beautiful. Especially Karikaribeach. I can highly recommend the place from Paul and Katalina. Just the view in the morning from the window to the sea....so beautiful and also quiet to sleep there. We wish the two of you all the best. Paul and Katalina are full of heart. Thank you for everything!!

Our stay at Barbara's place was excellent. The property is clean, well equipped and pretty spacious. The beds were comfortable, the showers were good, and having the use of 2 bathrooms was great. Barbara and Allan were very friendly and gave us lots of good information regarding the surrounding area. The property is only a short walk from the Historic Precinct which was very interesting, and about 1 hours drive from Queenstown. It is only a short drive from the Highlands Motorsport Park which is well worth a visit and was one of the places recommended by Barbara and Allan. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though it was only 2 nights and would not hesitate to stay again if we were in the area.

Gillian and Mel have a beautiful spot, we stayed here for a wedding at Kauri Bay Boomrock and it was a perfect location 10 mins to the venue and 2 mins from beautiful beaches and walks. Their place had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Gillian and Mel are warm and welcoming people and made it an overall great experience.

Lovely little cabin, we had a great night! Just a shame there was no netting on the windows, so we couldn’t leave them open for a nice breeze without welcoming all the bugs. Outdoor bath was Devine and the the homemade bubble bath smelled so good!

John’s place was the perfect haven for us. It was an ideal place to work remotely and enjoy the quintessential kiwi summer! We stayed for a week and were utterly surprised by how well equipped the bach was (from all the cooking essentials to extra lounging chairs). John was a superb host who has thoughtfully curated an information guide and was very responsive. We already can’t wait to be back!

looking for peace & to switch off from the pressures of city life for a night or two then this is the place for you, Fantastic scenery, private & the option of 3 different rooms. you can hire all 3 and it would be an awesome get away for family or a group of friends. One of the rooms has its own bathroom and the other two shared facilities which were only a couple of meters away in the stockyard shed.All clean safe and great hot shower too! We had the best sleep ever! It is off the grid but the solar power was more than enough for basic power, lighting,charging devices etc.Cell phone reception is patchy but a few steps up to the barn and you well connected to the world again. (also being semi disconnected added to the charm of the place.) Bring all your own food & drinks + maybe a board game or 2 and really just enjoy the awesome spot without having to venture into town &relax. bonus is the use of a private boat ramp, we had our 2 jetskis and had an amazing time exporting the lake
