House holiday rentals in Kalamazoo County

This house was wonderful for myself, my parents, my 2 brothers, sister in law, and 2 nieces! The pool was in use from sun up to sun down. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. My mom was able to navigate between her wheelchair and walker, which meant all the world. I have stayed in many airbnbs. What sets this one apart, besides the gorgeous house, pool, and amenities, was the way everything was stocked. There were enough extra towels for all the in and outs of the pool. Anyone who has stayed at an airbnb with a pool can relate to not enough towels. Not the case here!! Also, plenty of extra toilet paper. And the good tp! How many times have I had to stop during my vacation to buy extra TP. Not at this house! It had everything I needed!! Including washing machine tabs, so I could keep up with the laundry. Tons of extra plates, silverware, cups! EXCELLENT communication from Mary. I am sure our family will be back to this Oasis!

Rob's place is fantastic! This is our second year renting for an annual Halloween gathering and this home is perfectly equipped. There's more than enough personal and private space for big groups + fur babies. We love using the hot tub and the theatre. The grounds are stunning, with great views and a lot of privacy, while still close enough to town to run out for anything we needed. The hosts anticipated our needs and even added some lovely spooky decorations to enhance our weekend. We can't recommend this property or the hosts highly enough. We'll definitely be returning!

Great place to stay! Well for family trips and with a lot to do. My family had a great time & we look forward to booking again during summer time. It’s a really cute place & neighbors were nice and friendly. The place was very cute.

Beautiful house in a very scenic and cozy area. Close access to the nearby town but also was a great nature retreat. The house was very clean and the perfect hangout house for 10-15 people. Kayaking in the river was also a unique experience that we very much enjoyed. Would absolutely recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun retreat with many things to do!!!

What an amazing weekend! This was a wonderful house and host. Everything was convenient, cozy and peaceful at the house. Rick was on the spot in listening to our questions and gave helpful instructions as needed. We would definitely stay at Allegan Fields again, if Rick would have us. What an excellent weekend getaway!

we stayed at Melissa's home for a long weekend because we were attending an event at the wings event center. it was a 20-30 minute drive from the venue every day, but I feel that it was worth it! The kids loved to play in the pool before bed. The beds were very comfortable. We liked having the grill available to cook meals on as well. Really, the only complaint (if you could call it that) was that there were some ladybugs and stink bugs in the home, but it is an older home in a country setting, so it was expected. It did not bother us to take care of them at all. overall, we had a great stay and would book this home again in the future

Perfect location for a wedding at Gable Hill. Loved that everyone had their own rooms and not a bunch of bunk beds. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay at Michelle's home. She made some nice upgrades. The pool is truly a treat in the middle of winter. The house is very spacious and well stocked. It's a perfect size for our family of 8. Looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful place to stay on the water! I stayed with my bridal party to get ready for my wedding, and then relaxed with my HUSBAND🥰 very nice hosts and communicated with me quickly and easily. Would stay here again!

A very charming old house, lots of character. The location is great and right now down easy to walk to many different things but it does come with loud cars and noises at night time. Would stay again if I was back in the area.

House was in great condition and well set up clean and comfortable

the place was nice. it could use some extra cleaning. such as the bathroom toilets were not clean the kitchen floors could use another moped. there are a LOT of beautiful things but a little to many things to break the vases and artificial flowers. we love the number of towels. leave 1-2 garbage bags. the Host is very nice and adhered to our calls as soon as possible. Over all we loved the place and the location. the house is nice and we enjoyed our stay. we love the fact that there were seasoning and other items for cooking. the Cafe bar was exciting 🫶🏾

Sheila was very helpful and clear before the day of the reservation, and the house was nice and definitely fit what we were looking for. Good area that is close to campus, and nice sized place.

The hosts were great, even asking for our favorite snacks and having them on the counter when we arrived. Great backyard with a fire pit that was used as well.

The host was incredibly accommodating, and responsive! The house was perfect for our ladies weekend!

Came to Portage for work and found this great Airbnb. The host was very responsive from first contact and friendly. As well as proactive to make sure we had a great experience and had anything that we needed. The rooms are spacious and warm and felt like my home away from home. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with pleasant neighbors as well. If you ever come out to Portage I recommend giving this place a chance and staying here you won’t regret it. Definitely worth every penny and more. 10/10

The setup was thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and style. There were plenty of seating areas, perfect for relaxing with a book, enjoying a cup of coffee, or gathering with friends and family. Every detail was considered, from the well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable beds. We especially loved the great selection of games that made our evenings so much fun – perfect for gathering around the fire and enjoying quality time together. The picturesque lake view was the cherry on top, creating a serene backdrop for a truly relaxing getaway. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable retreat. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy the lake in the Summer!! This is a great year round spot.

Our family is local to this property and due to being impacted by a tornado in May, we had been displaced a couple times during construction of our home. We moved into the Author House the week before Thanksgiving so I needed a place big enough for our college aged kids to come home and feel at home. We loved this property! Every detail was well thought out and the vibe of the house is a peaceful paradise. The house is down the street from an elementary, middle and high schools, so the street is pretty busy but it’s set back enough off the street, that the traffic was moot. There are a ton of windows and the 1 acre years was surrounded by trees, creating a serene feeling. We got to watch deer in the yard daily. Everything was so perfect, we forgot about the stress we have been feeling since the tornado, clearly the best 3 weeks we’ve had since the tornado! Thank you for sharing it with us so last minute! The charm of this house and the peacefulness is so much appreciated!!
