Our time spent in Hakuba was nothing short of amazing. The Joint was in the perfect location in Echoland. Less than a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and most restaurants in the area. Jake, who manages the space was fantastic. He showed us around the house, answered any questions we had, and gave us great info on the ski resorts in Hakuba. The space itself was true b&b style which we’ve never stayed in before. We had our own private room and bathroom. The kitchen, living, and ski storage area were all shared spaces. There were maybe 10+ other people staying in the house at the same time as they have multiple other bedrooms and a large bunk room. We stayed out skiing most of the day and really only saw everyone for breakfast in the morning. It’s a great space for young couples or groups of friends traveling together. All in all - we would definitely come back and hopefully bring some friends next go around.

I stayed in a private room with ensuite. My room was perfectly cosy and warm when I arrived late. Check-in process was really easy and staff were super friendly and always happy to chat/ answer questions! Perfect location close to bus stop, ski hire shop and restaurants. I will definitely stay again!

Hakuba was booked out for the Bank Holiday so we were super lucky to find The Joint. The living / dining room area had a fire place and it was a great spot to meet other guests. Other guests enjoyed the outdoor BBQ area. We stayed in a double room, which was basic, with a small and clean en-suite. Shayne was always around with some good local tips. Enjoy your visit.

One of the best locations in Hakuba for lift access and restaurants. The shared amenities and included breakfast were great. Plenty of showers and toilets. Bed was comfortable (single bunk beds with nobody below, in a 6 bed dorm). Lots of storage below each bunk. Washing machine and dryer in the lodge worked well, 300 yen per 1 x wash & dry. Ski storage was easy and the drying room was great. Staff were very obliging and the pick up and drop off to the bus stop on arrival and departure was very helpful. Clean linen and towels always available. Lodge temperature was very comfortable. Common areas very nice with big TV and hot drinks available. If staying in dorm, ear plugs recommended. All the other guests were very nice (mostly Australians when I was there).

Ski in ski out chalet in Hakuba!

This place was a perfect accommodation for our snowboard trip in Hakuba. The air bnb is located steps to the chairlift of our favourite resort that we rode on our trip to Japan. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and serve breakfast every morning before you head out to ride. They offer a shuttle service everyday to whichever resort you want to hit in the hakuba area which is extremely convenient. They also offer a shuttle service to get dropped off and picked up in town if you want to go in for dinner as well as a pickup and drop off for checking in and out of the air bnb to get to your next destination. Having use of the full chefs kitchen to prepare your own meals was really great as well as the lounge where you can play pool and have drinks with all the other guests. Staying here was such a good experience and was super affordable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to end our snowboard trip. Cortina mountain is definitely our most favourite of all the places we went

Exceptional value, Great Location. we stayed here 2 days and it was fun. There were lots of restaurants at 5min walk. The crowd was good and we also had fun watching Netflix along with other people. Hosts were also accomodative in changing our dates to earlier due to typhoon. Overall exceptional place. Highly recommended

Perfect Place, Good Bed , Good Shower , pleasant common area, well-structured kitchen, Kis and Martin , hosts always ready to help , every day transfers to the mountains with snow , and in the late afternoon to the supermarket to be able to buy food and cook , in the kitchen with a view through huge, amazing glass windows of the mountain . It's worth it , I recommend it !! ***** 😉🙏🏻

Alpine Lodge is a great location for a stay in Hakuba. Close to the main town area, Happo One and a short walk to the shuttle bus which will take you to any of the other ski resorts in the valley. Shayne is a terrific host and works hard to ensure everyone has a memorable stay. Shayne really is a super host who is only too happy to help organise the rental of ski gear, ski lessons or help with reservations at the local restaurants. His breakfast’s are also pretty epic. Highly recommend.
