Kid-friendly holiday rentals in La Jolla, San Diego

This home was beautiful! Plenty of space for the seven of us for our girls' trip. Helen was an excellent host. She was very responsive to any questions we had. The property was well-stocked with towels and linen, and had a washer and dryer in case you needed to do laundry. The backyard is beautiful. Extremely flexible check-in/check-out options. I would definitely stay again.

We had to find a place to stay with our 2 little dogs last min, we found this Airbnb and had the best experience! Erik was so friendly and gave us plenty of local recommendations and wanted to make sure we had a great time and were happy and comfortable! Everything was clean and well taken care of, our bed was super comfortable and our doggies felt right at home! We will definitely be staying here again in the future! Thank you Erik for everything!

We went with our elderly parents and two young children. The place was perfect, clean, and accommodating. Really great for little kids, and we didn’t have to bring a high chair or pack and play. Made travel easier on us. Ken was a great host and very responsive. We would love to stay there again in the future.

The place was perfect for our family which included a 22 month old. The hosts thought of everything one could need! Used the stroller everyday to walk to the beach boardwalk just down the walkway and to Bay boardwalk just across the street. Super clean, comfortable and one of the top AirBnBs we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend!!

The host was incredibly responsive and quickly took care of any issues that arose, making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The backyard was a highlight—serene, peaceful, and beautifully landscaped. The value for the price was definitely worth it, and we'd highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

We had a long girls’ weekend (a bunch of 40-yr old moms!) - this space was great and had plenty of space. There was a beautiful open living room, kitchen, and dining room. The large window from the kitchen opened so we could have an indoor/outdoor vibe. The yard area was great - plenty of seating and an incredible view. Point Loma and Shelter Island are an easy walk down the hill (going back up is another story!). We had everything we needed - full kitchen to cook, beach towels, etc.

Kevin's place was quiet and peaceful . It's a little smaller than I thought, but it was clear that Kevin put a lot of care into keeping the place clean and comfortable.

What a terrific Point Loma location, easy to commute to anything you wanted to do. The home was clean and had a lovely patio area for soaking in some sun.

Excellent hosts who were proactive in making sure we (4 of us)had everything we needed during our 5 day stay to visit son's family ! Tony brought a welcome tray with variety of snacks & drinks, besides those in the refrig...so very thoughtful & grandaughters enjoyed many of the treats. Located in a very quiet, nice neighborhood within short walking distance to beach, park area and coffee shops. Daughter & 2 granddaughters stayed in bedroom with queen & bunk beds & I stayed in Master. All very comfortable! To note too: Nice remodel, lg bathroom shower with super water pressure- was nice after long day out & about. Everything we needed, super hosts & would highly recommend this location!

We spent 13 nights at Angela’s while visiting our daughter in PB. The apartment is very comfortable with a cute beach theme. Bed was comfortable and shower great. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Angela had excellent communication and rules and apartment use guidelines were very clear. The location was fantastic for walking to the ocean, great coffee, bakery and restaurants nearby. I highly recommend Angela’s apartment and hope to stay again!

Excellent and well appointed unit. King size bed was great, mattresses comfortable. Large TV in the living room. Kitchen had everything needed. Ground floor with zero steps was nice.

We had a fabulous time. This place is comfortable, beautifully decorated, with lots of extra touches. We walked everywhere. Lisa was proactive checking in with us - really one of the best Airbnb stays we've had. Thanks Lisa!!!

Was perfect for our weekend soccer getaway. Very centrally located to beach, SoCal soccer fields, The Flower Fields at Carlsbad, Upick strawberries at Carlsbad and Windmill Food Hall were some of the attractions we enjoyed. Everything was clean. Could definitely hear the freeway traffic when door was opened but the construction of the home did block out most of the noise. We appreciated the white noise maker that was provided. Would definitely stay again.

Nicholas’s apartment was the perfect find for my Southwrn California getaway. The apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable, and the view of the ocean from the pool was just what I had hoped for! A perfect spot to relax during the day and watch the sunset in the evening. Great restaurants and shops in walking distance, free parking, gracious staff - all around perfect!

This was an excellent place to stay! We attended a conference at the Catamaran resort and we are so glad we stayed here instead of at the conference hotel/resort! It was walkable, close to the beach, clean, and less expensive! There was plenty of space and our hosts were very helpful and responsive. If we ever end up in San Diego we will definitely stay here again!

Carlos was a great host, replied promptly to our questions. The whole place was really clean when we arrived, and it was exactly how it was described on the pictures. Pet friendly without the massive restrictions as other rentals. Walking distance to Belmont Park, restaurants, bars and the beach. Great location and we will definitely book this place again when we come back.

Title: Great Value, but be Prepared for Noise I recently stayed at this Airbnb and had an overall positive experience. The location was fantastic—easy to find, and it was conveniently close to local attractions and restaurants. The host was responsive and friendly, making the check-in process smooth. The space itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Considering the price compared to other options in the area, I felt it was a great value. However, one thing to note is that the property is in the flight path for San Diego airport. While this wasn’t an issue once I fell asleep, the noise from the planes, neighbors, and outdoor sounds made it a bit challenging to get to sleep on the first few nights. The walls seemed a bit thin, so I could hear quite a bit of outside noise. Overall, I'd recommend staying here, but be prepared for the noise—especially if you're a light sleeper. Great apartment in a prime location. Had everything we needed and coming and going was easy - very nice to not have to carry around keys. Only real complaint was that there was no functioning sliding door on the balcony, so it wasn’t accessible, but not that big of a deal. Other than that, great visit and will definitely be back and hopefully it will be fixed. Definitely recommend!

Cute condo close to everything--the beach, downtown, 10 mins drive to groceries, restaurants, etc. Quiet at night (except my kids--sorry!) and safe to walk around. We took the kids to Legoland two days in a row and it was a 10-15 mins drive. Definitely will be coming back the next time we visit.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Stunning view, excellent location, and peaceful surroundings. We felt right at home and loved all of the thoughtful touches throughout the condo. Would highly recommend staying here; we definitely hope to be back!
