Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lenton

We had a lovely stay in the cottage. Two adults and two pre-teen children. The children loved the hot tub. Quite a few walking trails near the cottage. This was our first air b n b stay and would definitely return. The cottage is clean and so many lovely little touches. We loved the log burner for the colder evenings. We used the hosts recommendations for dinner and visited the Carnarvon pub and also ate from the local takeaways. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family. Also lots in the local area to do for all ages. Would definitely recommend.

Me, my partner and kids had a lovely stay here. Place was spotless, nice and big, then with the added hot tub and sauna. All exactly what we all needed after a couple of days at Alton towers. Scott was very quick to respond with any questions we ask. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay.

Overall it was fantastic and would recommend staying here for the immediate surroundings. We had fantastic weather for April so we could sit out on the patio and enjoy the view and the kids enjoyed the garden which was big enough to play football and rounders in. The only nitpick we had were the towels provided were very hard and scratchy and after using a lovely bath or shower the towels were not nice to use. So maybe bring your own in case they are not replaced soon. Although this did not affect us as the weather was great. If it did rain a lot and you were stuck in the downstairs lounge or dining area has no view of the lovely lake you can see from outside. There are views from upstairs main bedroom windows though.

Natalie's place is a perfect! The location is one of the kind with Carsington Water views and rolling fields in the distance. If you like the outdoors and farm life and being surrounded by beautiful scenery, this is the place to stay! We loved it there. Listening to the farm livestock hussle and nloises, being close up - is what I think made is special for us. We could walk with the dogs on a lead though their field. The cottage was great - had everything you needed, comfy and had a lovely homely feel to it. Clean & tidy place. The Hot Tub was a bonus, we didn't get the chance to walk with the Alpacas, but saw them in the distance. I'd recommend it. Thank you Natalie!

We stayed in the Manor for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our relations from Australia. We had a fantastic stay! The rooms were a perfect size and could fit us all in for games and entertaining ourselves, the kitchen was fully stocked with all the crockery and glassware we needed, the children loved the games room and the hot tub and the house was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this characterful house.

This cottage was perfect for us - 2 couples with small children. Louise gave us loads of information before we arrived, and her husband greeted us shortly after we arrived. It was such an easy stay with small children, we had everything we needed, and the stair gate made life so easy! There were lots of lovely touches like providing snacks, coffee and jams. And Louise even provided some glasses for the solar eclipse!! The surroundings are really peaceful and the kids loved the 2 Shetland ponies in the field opposite. There are lots of options for walks from the cottage, or a short drive away. The Black Lion pub did a great roast dinner. I found there was so much thought put into the stay and Louise was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Responsive host, fresh linen sheets, clean bathroom and kitchen. Farm animals are very cute and kids enjoy using the hot tub under starry nights. Spacious for 4 of us and bbq girl is a plus. Hot tub is ready to use upon arrival. Highly recommended and we would love to stay in The Diary again.

This is our second time staying here and just like before everything was perfect. Our son really enjoyed seeing all the sheep from the lodge and it's a short drive into Barrow for everything you need during your stay

A beautiful converted cottage with a recently refurbished feel. Very close to Nottingham (20 mins by car to the centre) and a very private area. Paul and Suzie were very accommodating and helpful.

The most beautiful place, the home was even better than we ever imagined, plenty of space, lovely views and walking trails. Most definitely would book again.

Our Stay at the miners Cottage was a pleasure. The location was perfect for me and my Son we were visiting family over the Christmas Holidays. The home was very cozy and clean, and Maxine was available via text if we had any questions, which we didn’t as everything was perfect. I would highly recommended this accommodation, if you are looking to stay in the area.

Just wanted to say what a wonderful weekend we had staying at Ellington house. Helen went out of her way with information about the house and location before we arrived and the house itself was very impressive. The pictures do not do it justice. The location is perfect to get into Nottingham city center and the surrounding area is full of rich history. I highly recommend a stay the the Ellington to anyone visiting Nottingham and needed that extra bit of room. Thanks Helen for the perfect weekend to celebrate my Mothers birthday.

Great air bnb! Had a lovely, relaxed stay here for work. The annex is separate from the house, and had a good kitchenette with plenty of equipment for cooking Nenita is lovely, very friendly and quick to respond.

I've just had another lovely stay at the property - it is always so clean and Liz is so helpful and friendly. I'll be visiting again soon!

Byron Lodge exceeded our expectations. Everything was easy. Excellent communication from Mark. We were impressed that the wood burner was on and had warmed the lodge beautifully. Several mobile radiators were available too. Three sizes of really good quality towels, plenty of extras in the shower rooms. Beds really comfortable with throws and plenty of pillows. The easy access to Sherwood Forest from the top of the property was a wonderful bonus for walking the dog and we loved the horses. An absolutely delightful stopover on our trip north.

Swallows cottage was perfect for our girls weekend. We were so glad to have good weather to enjoy the gorgeous patio area with bbq. The kitchen was so well prepared with all the essentials we needed and more. The living room and kitchen are so spacious and we loved the carefully considered decor. Izzy provided excellent info and suggestions locally, and was really responsive to any questions we had. We'll definitely be keeping this place in mind for future trips.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

We had a fantastic break. 2 families with kids of different ages and the dogs of course. There was more than enough space for all of us, and the house was kitted out perfectly. We absolutely loved the swim spa and hot tub. We would definitely book the house again.

We spent a lovely 3 nights here with our 2 children (8 & 4) and our dog. The apartment was perfect, had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy & the whole place had a really homely feel to it. The hot tub was great, we also booked the pool on 2 of the days which was really easy and the kids loved having it to ourselves. We used the games room which had some really good equipment in it. The location was a few mins drive into Bakewell. Overall a great family friendly place to stay which we all loved and would happily stay at again.
