Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Lewis and Harris

What a magical place! We absolutely loved our stay here and already dream of coming back. The inside is soooo beautiful and comfortable that we didn’t mind staying in on rainy days. We could never get sick of watching the sheep roaming the hillsides or the ever changing coast from the fabulous sunroom. The only downside is we were unaware of the time involved to bring the wood-fired hot tub up to temp. It takes an hour to fill with water and “up to 3.5 hours to heat in the winter”. Since we can’t leave the fire unattended, we weren’t able to enjoy it until our third night since we arrived home so late on the previous nights. It is also very hard to find in the dark and the pin led us to the wrong spot. Google Mapsing the house name took us to the right spot, but we arrived in the dark and were unable to see the sign to the bottom right of the gate. Everything else was completely perfect and we highly recommend staying in this lovely place.

I’m from Skye, family is there. And it was a perfect place for us to stay close to family on a visit. It was absolutely A1 ever was brilliant and we didn’t want to leave. We will return next year hopefully Thanks again so much to Wendy It’s hard to find perfection when renting a holiday let, yet this place was perfect for us 5 stars

Beautiful cottage right on the shore. Everything was comfortable and clean. Perfect location to base ourselves to see Skye and Loch Ness. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Felt like home. We stayed at Braes Retreat for four weeks and we loved every minute. The location is great for travelling around Skye as it’s pretty central but it still has that quiet isolation that most people come to Skye looking for. The house has everything you need, it’s very clean and comfy and Iain and Ingrid are great hosts to help you out with any issues. As all the other reviews say, the garden is spectacular, the views are beautiful and it’s generally a really lovely place to stay.

Excellent all around. Very well maintained and updated house with all the modern necessities. Restaurants were within walking distance and the microwave and oven were perfect for leftovers. Very quiet and safe neighborhood and easy parking right out front. The dryer was a nice surprise and made doing laundry halfway through the trip so easy. Starter pack of espresso and biscuits were a nice touch.

Lovely comfortable house in stunning location. Well equipped and roomy enough for eight adults and two dogs as well as parking for several vehicles. Underfloor heating impressive. Lots of homely touches like board games, maps of the area etc. Would love to stay again.

Loved staying here! It’s steps away from Talisker distillery and an amazing restaurant (Old Inn). Highly recommend. Would just note that half of the king bed was a bit uncomfortable.

One of our favourite places to stay. Beautiful house in stunning surroundings and with the ability to see otters, golden eagles and Sea Eagles from the garden or the sofa. Everything we could ask for. Highly recommended staying here.

We absolutely loved staying at Kirsty and Simon’s place! The studio was tidy and had everything we needed. While it’s semi near the road, there was no traffic at night so it was peaceful and quiet. Directly across the street is a beautiful short walk to the Brothers Point and beautiful rocky ocean spot. So many sheep and we saw a seal playing! While we didn’t get a chance to use yoga space which looked great the yarn store was incredible! Local natural and plant dyed yarns , that they dye themselves from foraged plants!!! Amazing little shop, amazing studio and amazing hosts! We’d love to stay again next time we’re on Skye ! :)

Andrea’s apartment in Kyleakin was a perfect place for us to stay on Skye. It provided easy access to locations on the Isle of Skye and in the greater Scottish Highlands. The apartment had everything needed to run an effective “home base” for our days. I would absolutely stay with Andrea again on another trip to Skye.

The place is charming and comfortable, perfectly located — just a short distance from Portree town centre, yet peaceful and surrounded by stunning nature. Mary is a wonderfully welcoming host. We’ll absolutely be back!

The views from our living room during our stay in Dunvegan were absolutely amazing. Jennifer was always available to help us if we had any questions. i fully recommend this location to anyone who is thinking of staying in Dunvegan.

We really enjoyed our stay in the flat. It was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed, like a home away from home, very convenient to the main shops and restaurants and amazing views. Marion is a wonderful and thoughtful host who pays attention to detail, is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.

This apartment exceeded our expectations in every way. Perfect for a home base while exploring Skye. Karen was an exceptional host. We thoroughly enjoyed being able to spread out and enjoy this beautiful property. The fresh baked bread and jam were the icing on the cake! Thank you!

Catherine was a lovely host, receiving my girlfriend and I with a warm welcome. She was very helpful and responsive to any questions, concerns or requests we would have. Her space was beautifully decorated, and neatly organized, providing us with many amenities to make our trip that much more enjoyable.

We had a great stay at Mairi’s place. It was perfectly situated for exploring the Isle of Skye. The place itself is very well equipped for a comfortable stay, we appreciated the space and the amenities, especially after being out all day exploring. The beds were comfortable, and it was in a very quiet area with a lovely outlook. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and recommend it to family and friends.

This place was so cool to stay at and Rupert and Lin were fantastic hosts! The decor was so cool and it was in a beautiful place. Very unique! we felt so comfortable there and were blown away by the hospitality.

The flat was exactly what we needed for an extra unexpected week in Stornoway. Amy was really helpful throughout. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

We had an incredible stay at this Airbnb! The space was absolutely spotless - meticulously (and I mean meticulously) clean and beautifully presented in every detail. The accommodation is finished to an incredibly high standard. It truly felt like a home away from home. I had an absolutely amazing stay! The place was spotless, cozy, and exactly as described—if not better. We felt welcome and comfortable throughout our time there. One of the highlights for me was getting to spend time with their adorable dogs😍🫠 They were so friendly and sweet—If you’re an animal lover, you might get chance to see them :) that’s just the cherry on top! Karen and Phil were helpful and a delight. Their place was cozy with an easy-to-use wood burning stove, large bathtub and shower along with all the washing and kitchen amenities you would expect. Beautiful back garden and two excellent eating establishments within walking distance.
