Family-friendly holiday rentals in Limón Province

This was our first time to Costa Rica. We arrived in SJ Airport. the drive to the airbnb is LONG. I knew in advance it was going to be long but it's a different kind of long compared to the US, California. Anyway, it was worth the drive. The house and staff are amazing. We didn't leave the property for 4 days. There was no need. We had a private rainforest, waterfalls, and river to explore. We fell in love with the area. At night my adult children could play their music and good off as loud as they wanted. No neighbors. Tuscan galore, howling monkeys, frogs, insects, and so much more to discover. If only we stayed longer. Breakfast was a treat each morning. Jose helped us get out of the mud one day that we took a wrong turn down a road in our 4x4. Esteban was the most helpful with his animal, plant, nature knowledge making sure we were educated on what is safe to touch and not. All in all we are very happy we chose this place and would definitely return.

Great place to stay and great host!

Jeff’s house is a perfect spot for the Costa Rican jungle experience right outside of the main town. The location right next to the beach was great for our group. We spent every night hanging out on the deck. Jeff himself was accommodating and very kind, he sent us some great places to eat in town. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Villa Aragon is a beautiful property with so many options for relaxation from the king size beds, indoor sunroom to the hammocks, poolside loungers, and cute swings that were perfect for pictures! One of the highlights was the incredible private chef, Glenda, who crafted a delicious meal tailored to our vegan preferences. Her attention to detail and skill in the kitchen elevated our experience to pure luxury. We also booked a private fishing tour with Alan, which was phenomenal! Alan’s expertise and friendly nature made it an unforgettable adventure. Communication with the Villa Aragon team was seamless from start to finish, making the planning process stress-free. They truly thought of everything, and their recommendations for activities and services were spot on. If you’re looking for a relaxing, well organized, and luxurious getaway, Villa Aragon is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to return!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting one of the most stunning locations in Costa Rica, and it exceeded all my expectations. The natural beauty is absolutely breathtaking—lush greenery, pristine beaches, and vibrant wildlife everywhere you look. The accommodations were immaculate and designed to harmonize perfectly with the surrounding environment, creating a tranquil and luxurious retreat. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my stay was unforgettable. Whether you’re looking to relax in paradise or explore the wonders of nature, this place offers the best of both worlds. I can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to return to this little slice of heaven in Costa Rica!

Amazing! We’ve done this trip in various locations across costa rica and Brian’s place was by far the best, especially for larger groups. The dreamy outdoor kitchen had all the best appliances and tools you could ever need. The pool and lounge area felt like what you would experience at a high end resort. The music hookup and lighting at night was perfect for relaxing and breathtaking sunsets and nighttime conversations. Some of us could even get in a morning workout given the great gym area available and would end it with a cold plunge. I literally can’t think of anything else we could ever need! Beyond being an absolute paradise, Brian went above and beyond to welcome us and ensure we were comfortable. It’s rare these days that the host is as invested in their guests’ experience as Brian, and it’s clear that he really wants his guests to feel at home and welcome. He always promptly answered any questions and was eager to help and give recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!

Be ready to fall in love—with the owner Robert, his excellent caretaker Maria (who gave us free fresh picked bananas) and mainly with exquisite property, better than pictured, in the most fantastic location. As a veteran AirBnB owner in Aruba we can say it sets the top standard with everything you would want in a prime location. Beautiful experience!

Our four-night stay over the New Year’s Eve holiday at Volare was nothing short of magical! It was the perfect setting for our family to come together and celebrate the start of a new year. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how peaceful and beautiful the home was. The natural light pouring through the windows made the entire house feel warm and inviting, and we couldn’t get enough of the stunning views—especially the clouds and the birds that graced the sky each morning. Tucker was a fantastic host, always available and ready to help with anything we needed. It was clear that she cares deeply about the space and her guests. Yamilet, the property manager, was so friendly and helpful. Everything was spotless and felt like a true retreat. This was the perfect escape for our family to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the holiday. We can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re looking to unwind or explore, this home is an absolute gem. We can’t wait to return!

This is a beautiful home with everything you need for a great family stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the linens and beds are good quality and comfortable. It's very quiet and beautiful with lots of birds around. There was always a nice breeze and no mosquitos. It was nice to have lots of options for lounging and space for everyone. The showers are fantastic. This is a great spot and you'll be glad you booked it. Thanks for a great stay!

A fairly good accommodation for family vacations, ample space and very good attention as well as fast

This rustic cabin served as a perfect base for our hikes up and around the Turrialba volcano. The place is calm and in beautiful surroundings, making it easy to disconnect and enjoy nature and good company. The cabin would be ideal for a group of friends getting together for a long weekend. We spent 3 nights here, all quite chilly, and damp with lots of rain, so warm clothes were essential.

Excellent place, very comfortable and quiet place

LOVED this spot! Right across a small dirt road from the gorgeous beach, private yard with gate, delightful front porch and balcony. The property manager, Fernando, was quick to respond and very helpful with anything we had questions about. Although the beach road in front of the house is busy from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m., it's really quiet outside of those hours. We woke up to the sounds of birds and howler monkeys and slept to the sound of the ocean waves. The AC in the upstairs bedroom works great if need be, but we found it quite pleasant to have the screened windows open and the fan on most of the time. Definitely a great place if you enjoy eating in, with a well stocked, clean kitchen. Would stay here again!

House Kyan was the perfect stay. It had a homey feel that made me feel completely comfortable and settled. The space was spotless, well-equipped, and very secure. The location is ideal, close enough to everything for convenience, yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would absolutely book again. Brenda went above and beyond, always ready to help without hesitation. Her recommendations and resources gave me peace of mind and a reliable point of contact throughout my stay. We had an outstanding weekend. The house met our expectations. The gardens and the view are wonderful. Very well equipped. Oscar, who received us on the farm, super friendly and collaborating. Very friendly host too. We are hoping that we can return some day.

This was my second time at Irene‘s beautiful farm, this time I brought my family and it was just as lovely as my first visit! And absolutely serene space and the property caretakers are so friendly, and Digna is an amazing cook! the Mama sloth with a baby on it with the cherry on top! Would love to come back!

Wonderful location. The main living area is open air and we really enjoyed that aspect. The three bedrooms each have their own bathroom and air conditioning which was perfect for sleeping. The area is green and we heard howler monkeys and saw lots of birds. The beach is a short walk down a path and beautiful and quite private. The house is off a main road and easy to find, within 10 mins to Uvita for restaurants and groceries. The pool was very refreshing. The only thing to note is that there is a second identical house right next door—you can hear the folks staying next door since both houses are open air. This would make it a really perfect set up for two families or several people who want to stay together but each have their own houses.

Beautiful place a lot animals to see

Absolutely love this location and house. The pool is epic too and we loved the thunder and lightning storms. We had an amazing experience here and even extended our stay to spend more time in the mountains. Louey and Jessica are incredibly responsive and helpful with everything too.

This open design space is a stand alone building within the gated family complex. The hosts are very personal- it felt like visiting friends more than being renters. We felt so safe there we didn’t even lock the door when we left for the day. Pool and terrace were great. We benefited from the hosts suggestions on the local area. We loved our stay, but since the host family lives on site and has dogs, if you are seeking complete seclusion, or are afraid of dogs, you may not enjoy as much as we did.

We LOVED Tania’s place!! So private and the scenery couldn’t be beat. Waking up to the sounds of the howler monkeys every morning was truly unforgettable. So much wildlife everywhere! Magical. Tania and Henri were both super responsive and helpful with any questions we had and made amazing recommendations! Tania even coordinated for someone to pick us up from the Limon airport! The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. We rented beach cruisers for our stay and the road to the house can absolutely be biked (we had to walk it up a couple hills, but it’s very manageable.. our 9 year old even had no issues). We would absolutely go back! It was magical and we miss it already! Thank you Tania!!

For a group of 3 couples looking for both relaxation and adventure, this was the perfect spot! The house is amazing and even more beautiful than the pictures, with iguanas and tropical birds to see as we enjoyed the views of sunrise and sunset from the pool. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and very comfortable. The location is a perfect hub to explore some beaches and restaurants to the south in Uvita, and not a far drive to Manuel Antonio, with a good selection of places close by in Dominical. Hosts were so responsive and available with lots of great recommendations and helped with anything we needed. They were flexible with our check-in and personal helped us find it on a rainy night. We can’t recommend Casa Linda highly enough!

This is a perfect house for the Costa Rica experience. It is surrounded by beautiful rain forest and the views are stunning. Quepos, dominical, and Uvita are all and easy drive away. The staff was very responsive and I really enjoyed my stay!!
