Castle holiday rentals in Lower Franconia

I’d give 10 stars if I could - Karl and Anna were the perfect hosts, the apartment was even more gorgeous live, incredibly clean and probably one of the best Air B&Bs I have stayed at - we just wished we would have booked it for longer! Despite the summer months, it was nice and cool inside the bedrooms - it was just so perfect for our party of 5… If you are looking to explore the Bavaria/Thuringia area in Germany, do yourself a favor and book Karl’s & Anna’s place. It is a total gem and will make you feel like you were dropped in the middle of a Brothers Grimm fairy tale…! Thanks so much Anna & Karl!

We had a very relaxed and beautiful week in the castle incl. Free concert, Florian was always there for us if we were missing something. The castle and castle courtyard itself were a great place especially for our children. All in all, we will be happy to come back and look forward to how it developed.

Me and my family stayed here for Christmas and we had such a great time! The castle is very nice and inside the rooms were lovely! I stayed in the last room which has a lot of baroque decor and furniture, truly beautiful! Florian was easy to reach and quick to answer and we are very grateful for being able to stay here.

Amazing history and what an experience! To spend the night in a place so lovingly taken care of for so many years was heartwarming. Breakfast was homemade and charming, and Hans made time for a tour of the castle. It was stepping back in time for 24 hours, it was a magical experience. The castle restoration isn't completely unfinished yet, but this added immensely to the charm and mystery. It makes you appreciate the restored areas much more! We hope to stay again soon one day.

I had a short but nice stay there. The Airbnb was neat, clean and as described. There's nothing to complain about for me. I'd love to come back if I have to go back to the area.

Chic apartment with everything you need. Very modern furnishings and clean. Check in was easy and flexible. A little off the beaten path, but grocery store and a pizzeria nearby. Great location in the castle.

We had a wonderful weekend in the cozy room. The bed is huge, the bedding was really cuddly and there was a lot of space in the cabinets to store everything. There were a few attentions and little things to welcome, so we felt immediately welcome. A highlight was the bathroom, including a double bathtub, in which the two of us could comfortably enjoy a hot bathroom to warm up after a detailed winter walk along the Saale. We had two very quiet nights, the neighborhood seems to be very quiet, finally to sleep in again, did very well. The house itself is very stately and stylishly furnished, you feel like a count couple in old times here. If we come back to Bad Kissingen, we will be happy to come back :)

unfortunately, we were only in the castle for 1 night, on the way back home. We would have liked to have stayed longer. If you are looking for modern comfort, this is not the place to be. But if you're looking for something special, you'll find a lot here. Unfortunately, we did not meet the castle ghost. Maybe if we had stayed longer, who knows .......

Thank you for a wonderful week in this beautiful history shaped water castle. The flair of the castle apartment we lived in is a mix of history and modernity and you dive into the past without having to sacrifice the amenities of today. We are happy to think back to the informative and interesting conversations with the landlord Graf Waldburg. Thanks for everything. Unfortunately, we couldn't greet the Countess this time, but maybe it will work next time. We'd love to come back to get to know other accommodation locations in the castle.
