Holiday rentals with lake access in Lunenburg County

We chose this place because it was close by and it is Winter. We had a big snow storm the day of our arrival. Fortunately we only had a 20 min drive and yet it felt like we were in the woods. Robert greeted us and showed us around his lovely home. It was a place where the whole family could spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together. All eight of us declared it was the best family Christmas we had in a long time. The beauty could be seen from every window. We were provided with everything we needed to have meals together and to play games and the young adults loved the hot tub. Robert had a beautiful Christmas tree set up and there was lots of little cozy spots to have one on one chats with each other. We realized after meeting Robert that he would be so cool to hang out with but he had other family plans. We are seriously considering making it a new Christmas Tradition.

We were celebrating a 50th birthday with a spa day nearby. The 4 bedrooms was a dream! The house had all we needed and then some. The host was amazing from beginning to end. Responsive. Proactive. Friendly. We spent 2 stormy nights and we're cozy the whole time. Thanks for the great weekend.

The spot was perfect for us, a great little cottage by the lake. The lake was gorgeous! Chris was very responsive for all of our changes in schedule and questions we had and even left us a little welcome gift of some snacks and drinks. It was incredible and we would stay there again! also it is much closer to Halifax than you think! Turn on tolls when looking because everyone uses the toll bridge and it's just 1.25$ at time of writing and it saves 20 minutes to get into Halifax!

Very cozy place! It was right by the water with a beautiful view. Very convenient as well. We were about a 30 minutes drive from Downtown Halifax. Ashley was very responsive and helpful. Beautiful place and amazing host! I'd stay there again. :)

Our stay at the charming cottage was wonderful. The host was highly responsive from the moment we booked, addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Inside, the cottage was well-equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen had all the utensils and appliances to prepare meals, and the living area was cozy and inviting. The bedroom provided restful comfort with a cozy bed and ample storage space. The directions provided by the host were clear and easy to follow, ensuring a smooth arrival. Nestled in a serene location, the cottage offered stunning views of nature, providing the perfect setting for relaxation. Overall, the accurate amenities, thoughtful host, and peaceful surroundings made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this cottage and look forward to returning in the future.

Our family had a fantastic Christmas at Deanna’s. It looks exactly as advertised, and is just really comfortable. Deanna was very helpful and timely in responding to questions, prior to, and during our stay. She was very flexible and accommodating to meet our timing needs. Awesome location and view. The accommodation is great, well taken care of and great for a family stay. Will definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Zack and Yifei are great hosts! We chose their location for proximity to family we were visiting nearby. It’s definitely convenient if visiting the Bedford area. They have excellent taste and we appreciated the thoughtful decor touches and the clean, comfortable space. It’s a great space if you’re travelling with kids and our toddler loved his “special bed.” They were highly responsive, acting immediately to salt the driveway when we arrived and it was slippery from the night before. We only had a few issues, namely a bad wifi connection and the inability to access data from our phones inside due to poor LTE connection in the area. Zack was responsive in offering to help and, although we didn’t get it sorted, we appreciated their responsiveness regardless. The only other issue was that we did hear a fair amount of noise from upstairs on our first evening, but it didn’t appear to be an issue at any other time.

This is a beautiful stay in a great location! The house was even nicer in person than the photos and the outdoors was incredibly beautiful. We loved the fire pit outside on a cold winter day and the inside of the house was great for a large group. The house was clean and we appreciated that she allowed us to check in a bit early. The only slight issue I had was I messaged her through Airbnb for check in information the week of my stay and did not receive a response, so the next day I sent her a text message. She did promptly respond to the text message so this may be the better way to reach her. I would definitely recommend this stay.

Everything was wonderful!

Great location for our stay. Apartment was clean and spacious with most comfortable beds. Jin was easy to contact and responded to requests quickly. The lake was a bonus with dock for swimming and plenty of outside seating. We would definitely recommend for an enjoyable stay in Dartmouth!

This is a nice place, very comfortable mattress, with well equipped kitchen, and a big plus is a super firm sand beach and Lake Charlotte boat ramp close by. Had an excellent 3 nights here. We recommend The Diner char grilled burger a few minutes east of Webbers Store (which is currently closed) which gives this 2nd floor apartment and deck considerable privacy.

Beautiful basement suite with full kitchen, bathroom with toiletries, washer and dryer and a lounge room with streaming services and cable. Lovely setup with separate entrance for privacy, easy to find and easy instructions to get in. Snacks, juice and bottled water also provided. Would recommend. Only thing that would’ve been nice to have on hand would be a fan for the bedroom and a hair dryer, otherwise everything was great.

Thank you for being such lovely hosts! We immediately felt right at home. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and quiet. It was a wonderful place to wake up to the snow. Thoughtful amenities, lots of space, comfortable places to eat, drink, read and watch Christmas movies. We didn't want to leave. So much generosity was extended to us due to the storm, and I look forward to returning! We very much were well taken care of.

This was the most amazing place. We spent a week here and Everything you needed or wanted was right in this place. The surroundings were peaceful, very inviting. Gillian checked in with us halfway through our stay to see if we needed anything. The beds were very comfy. The firepit is beautiful there was a fully stacked wood pile to use for the fire. There were lots of chairs all around to sit outside or out by the the dock. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Gillian and Scott for your hospitality.

Very clean and quaint spot to stay at. The theatre room was fantastic. Made my weeks stay a great time!

This guest home is amazing and a vibe that reflects the awesome personality of the hosts. If you are looking to get away and relax this is your place, the patio and hot tub over looking the ocean and the claw foot tub and fireplace inside were amazing features but many more touching features that make this a perfect getaway anytime of the year. We will be back and recommending to others!

We had a wonderful weekend in the woods at marks cabin! It had everything we needed and the space was comfortable and cozy. Hot tub overlooking the lake was beautiful! Would love to come back

The place was very quiet and lovely, just what I wanted for the weekend. I was very comfortable.

The Lake House was a wonderful place for our group (and dogs) to spend time together and celebrate New Years. There was lots of room for our group to relax, enjoy meals and play games. The hot tub was nice to have, and there was ample parking. Jolena was very responsive before and during our stay - thank you for a wonderful stay!

Fabulous stay! Got a dose of Nova Scotia hospitality from the host, who offered to help dig us out and offered a late checkout after a snow storm. House was immaculately clean, hot tub was turned on, and surroundings were beautiful. Was a wonderful weekend!

What a fantastic experience! Our hosts were communicative and made sure we had everything needed during our stay. The property was peaceful, private, and stunning! A snowstorm arriving overnight was met with messages offering for us to hunker down past checkout time until roads were cleared! So thoughtful and accommodating. Still, never felt trapped since Christopher made sure to plow us out first thing making sure we felt we could leave when ready. This place would be a treat any time of year and can't wait to be back.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! Easily 5 star!! Peter and Hendrix went above and beyond with this cabin!! The location was very easy to find, and once we arrived, we were so impressed! Chef Hendrix made us a fresh warm cherry pie when we walked in! So sweet and absolutely delicious!! Every piece of this Airbnb is carefully thought out and planned. Very comfy bedding, couches, chairs, warm blankets to curl up in-front of the fire place, wireless chargers in every room, spices, cooking supplies and everything you need in the kitchen - to the amount of games and fun activities there is to do here. The sauna was a huge hit for a girls trip!! It’s spacious and they even had cold water bottles for us for after !! All in all, an excellent choice !! I could go on about this place forever, but just book it !!! We be back soon!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My husband and I stayed there with my sisters and their husbands and we had so much fun! The accommodations were great and we really enjoyed the hot tub. We would def go back!
