The View, Pen-y-ghent, Horton in Ribblesdale

MohammedRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

Contemporary yet cosy cottage for 2

GuyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Fantastic find. We booked this for a Christmas/ new year break and found home from home with Emma decorating cottage to make us feel it was just that. Extremely private in ever changing landscapes with weather conditions but that said had good weather for season. Got out and about on recommendations. Farmers arms a good local and friendly . Ulverston offers great alternatives in wet weather, canal walk, museum and crystal showroom. We ventured out to Buttermere, Wray castle and other surrounding areas. This break was an exploration for our future and now consideration options for retirement. Thankyou Emma for your help. Great place and host. Hope to be back. Kind regards Gill and guy

Traditional Cottage on a Working Hill Farm

ShellyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Four adults ,three kids & couple of dogs spent an incredible weekend here. Country walks, board games in the lounge in front of the roaring fire.Cooking valentines steaks on the aga sitting around the large dinning room table clinking glasses celebrating a birthday . Pictueress views with sheep roaming freely. Relaxing in a bubble bath after a long doggy walk. The hardest thing was choosing from the bedrooms as they all had en-suits and the decor was fabulous. House stayed clean as it had a boot room which was perfect. We was also blessed with a small amount of snow which captured the magical time we spent at the cottage. The kids loved the chest in the lounge they said it was the best hiding space ever. Met the neighbours who were really friendly gave us the best places to walk. The kids were disappointed they couldnā€™t do sā€™more around the fire pit because it rained. I would definitely go back and Iā€™ve already recommend the cottage to our friends & family . This is an incredible find.

Ford Cottage, Rutter Falls

NeilRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Fizz, fresh bread and homemade jam to greet us. Lovely warm and surprisingly large cottage with a gorgeous view of the ford. Great walks straight from the door with wildlife aplenty (sadly no red squirrels but our host did point us to a hotel where we managed to see them). All in all, a cracking place to stay.

Charming Nidderdale cottage with panoramic views

BethRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a fantastic weekend with our 9 and 6 year old girls and two dogs. Helen was extremely helpful and provided clear instructions on how to get there and where to park. We arrived after dark and the cottage was lovely and cosy, as well as spotlessly clean. The welcome hamper was a great surprise too (especially the chocolate biscuits!). The surrounding area is stunning and we enjoyed walking from the cottage to How Stean Gorge cafe (amazing breakfasts). Thereā€™s so much to see and plenty of outdoor space for little legs to run off energy. Overall, it was the perfect stay and we canā€™t wait to come back ā¤ļø

Cottage with private beach on Lake Windermere

RosieRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had an absolutely gorgeous and relaxing weekend at the cottage. With the sun shining we enjoyed paddle boarding and swimming in the lake then warming up in the hot tub! The cottage is quirky and cosy, we loved the wood burning stove in the evening. The swing seat in the garden was also perfect for an afternoon snooze in the sun ā˜€ļø Ruth very kindly dropped off a bottle of bubbly as we had some birthdays in the party which was such a sweet extra touch! We will be back.
