Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Marco de Canaveses

We truly enjoyed our time relaxing at this scenic and historic place. Right along the river, attached to walking trails in a little park. Plenty of space and all the comforts of home. We spent a cool December evening here cozying up next to the fire and reading about the history of the region. The bridge/entrance dates back to roughly 1660-1740, incredible!

This was a dream vacation - we had just moved to Portugal and spent 2 weeks getting setup. We wanted a quiet week as a family to rest before school started. This place was perfect: perched on a mountainside in the middle of vines, the space was quiet, peaceful and beautifully designed and appointed. Paulo, the husband, is an architect who refurbishes vintage designer furniture. Teyna, the wife, is an amazing chef. Her breakfasts (included) we delicious and the dinners they offer in their adjoining restaurant and well crafted and tasty. Their place is pet friendly - we brought our dog, and they have a dog, two cats and two birds. We did outings to Porto, nearby Roman ruins, historic villages and swam in the rivers running through them. It was delightful.

The House and garden were absolutely perfect. Even better than the pictures and discription. We got used to the music from the amusement park on the other side of the river. We will absolutely be happy to come back.

Quinta da Lameira was one of the best estates we've found in the last 10 years. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 children and the farm showed that it had all the potential for a few days well spent. The house is very functional, well-equipped and bright. The living room and kitchen, in open space, allowed the whole group to be in constant contact and the children had space to play. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The 3 suites were comfortable and the bunk bed room was perfect for the 4 children. It was the first house we stayed in where everything worked smoothly, from the hot water, heating, the electrical panel. The outside is very pleasant, even though it was in December, we just couldn't enjoy the pool. But even so, S. Pedro helped and, especially the children, managed to play on the slide and in the toy house. And we managed to have a barbecue. I believe a summer stay on this farm is amazing.

We stayed at Casa Da Torre for 7 days and loved it. The place is spacious, private, and peaceful, with great views over the Douro River. It is a great base for exploring the Duoro River valley. Marta was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Great hosting, José was very responsive and flexible on schedules. The house was very clean with all the necessities. I recommend it.

The best and most beautiful airbnb i‘ve ever been. Such a beautiful house with very nice interior design. A giant outdoor space. Perfect place to relax and Tiago was so friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back!

We loved staying at Americo’s house. It was in a stunning location with beautiful views as far as the eye can see of the Douro valley. The house sits in well loved landscaped gardens, with a lovely pool and outside sitting/eating area. There is a bonus area with fruit trees. The house is well furnished, cosy and comfortable. It was plenty of room for two small families. Our hosts were so kind and communicated well throughout the process. We did have problems locating the house, even following the instructions (Apple Maps sent us to the wrong location). But the hosts were patient. It’s a bit of a drive to go to larger sight seeing attractions and very windy for non-confident drivers. But for us it was perfect - we had all we needed in a 20 minute radius and drove to Porto for one day (it’s a 50 minute drive). The house and location is stunning and the hosts welcoming - I would definitely return and recommend to others!

Everything was 5*, from the booking in which they answered all questions, to the check-out. Breakfast was very well filled and was well worth the value. The friendliness and helpfulness were points in favor. The house was very well arranged and clean. Everything about this stay surprised us on the upside. It was only a few days, but it was worth it. The Quinta is beautifully set, prepare yourself for stunning views. Our party of 8 with four kids much enjoyed the wide grounds, garden, pool and the cozy house. Cidalia is an amazing host! Thank you very much, we hope to be back.

We loved the week we spent in Quintinha do Oliveira. It is a very bucolic space, with a swimming pool overlooking the vineyard. My children loved contact with nature and I really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place. The house is very well equipped, super clean and comfortable. We had a dream week, diving in the Paiva River and Douro River. Hosts are very friendly and respond to questions promptly and without delay. We left delicious fruit and complimentary dumplings! We want to go back!

Accommodation to enjoy it at all times, every corner very cared for and with many nice details. Located outside Amarante, in a very quiet area. Unbeatable barbecue and pool area, ideal for spending a few days with the family. The house is not very big, but it is well used and lacks nothing. On the other hand, Paulo's attention is worthy of praise, caring at every moment of our well-being, and counting on the help of wonderful neighbors who made us the stay very pleasant and pleasant. Without a doubt, the quality/price is more than recommended, we would repeat with our eyes closed now that we know Paulo and his surroundings. And another thing, let's discover the green wine of the area, how rich! 🤤😃 Thank you very much for everything, we will come back.

A perfect stay! The house is very clean and very well equipped, with everything you need, the garden and pool are beautiful. The photos are representative of the villa and once there it is even prettier. Bernardo is a very attentive host, everything is done to make the stay enjoyable. We were delighted to stay at Bernardo's place and we thank him for the quality of the stay.

We absolutely loved this place. The views from the pool area are amazing, the living room is spacious and cosy, and the kitchen very well equipped. On top of that the surroundings are beautiful and there are plenty activities to do. Oh and Dona Paula was very friendly and helpful. Would love to come back one day!

An unforgettable week, without a doubt a place to return because it undoubtedly made us feel at home, to highlight the friendliness and warm welcome from Sara's parents and Dona Margarida, an exceptional place for those who want to spend a relaxing moment with family and rest, very complete house, with nothing to point out, cleanliness without any detail to point out, well located and private. We'd like to highlight the good communication with Dona Sara, who always responded quickly to any questions from us. Thanks for everything.

We spent 15 days in the house and were delighted. The hosts are very helpful and kind and were great. The house is very comfortable and is very well equipped, it does not lack anything( well, a slightly more modern TV) the area is beautiful and there is a lot to visit. Above they admit dogs and the mias have enjoyed on the estate as locas. The photos do not honor the house. Thank you for everything Very , highly recommended.

Great place to spend a rainy weekend. The fireplace, the cosy livingroom and the books were priceless. The house exceeds expectations. The fact that we could bring our two little dogs with us was a great plus. Very nice surroundings, great views and awesome food at the recommended restaurants.

We loved our hosts. We loved the boat. Very clean and comfy. We had the host take us up river in a 4 hour tour that was wonderful. We made the mistake of thinking that the boat was docked in a larger town, closer to the wine country with restaurants and things we could walk to from the boat. It was very isolated in a small quiet town. If your looking for that you will love it .

We had a pleasant stay in Manuel's house. We stayed 8 days with my family. My children being very young (1 year and 2 years), we enjoyed the house for a long time! It's suitable for children. Be careful with the pool around which there is no protection for the little ones. So you have to open your eyes. But other than that everything is fine. The view from the house is beautiful. Manuel is very responsive and flexible. A housekeeper visits almost daily to help us maintain the house. Thank you Manuel and maybe see you soon! Nicolas

Lovely house well furbished with all your needs. Relaxing neighborhood bit tricky to get to but once your there is beautiful views and worth the drive.
