Holiday rentals with beach access in Matarangi

It’s a beautiful apartment with plenty of space, a manager to ask questions of, and the view of the ocean is delicious.

A great place to stay with a fantastic setting and right beside the beach. The apartment has everything you need and the pool and spa is a great addition.

This flat was amazing, one of my best Airbnb experiences ever. The view of the ocean and beach was unbelievable. Everything we could have needed for our stay was provided and the flat was tidy and very large. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach, the pool, the hot tub and the flat and had great food from three of the local restaurants. Sue was helpful and timely with her responses to questions and even messaged pre check in to let us know the flat was ready for us early. If you are looking for a beautiful and comfortable location for R and R or exploring the Coromandel, just book here because you won’t regret it. Many thanks to Sue, your place is A++

A beautiful, homely and comfortable place perfectly located. The beach and main road are a stone's throw away and Verena is a wonderful host who makes one feel most welcome. We will definitely be back.

This Airbnb was excellent… from location to hosts to the unit itself. We absolutely loved our 1 week stay… wish it could have been longer. David (& Sue) were top notch hosts…. Even had a ‘breakfast welcome basket’ waiting for us on the counter. What a treat to have a full size fridge/freezer & also a washing machine: much appreciated. We had great & interesting chats daily with our host(s) & they made some excellent recommendations. ( especially the tip to try the ‘takeaway’ at the very nearby Kūaotunu campground. ( the fish’n chips & the camp burger were delicious 😋!) Beautiful beaches a short drive away & day trips to Chums beach, Cathedral Cove & the Hot Water Beach were very doable. Highly recommend this Oceanside Airbnb.👍👍

The access right on the beach was delightful for a surfer family like us! And 5mn walk to the Main Street with the shops and restaurants. The best location!!

We will definitely be returning to this beautiful beach house! Host was quick to respond and gave us some superb recommendations for the local area. House is spacious and spotless. Lots of games to play as well as it being very well stocked. Beach is on the doorstep and the town is only a 5 minute drive to find some delicious restaurants! The hot tub and pool are lovely and clean too. Thank you for our stay!

Tracie and David are such lovely hosts. We felt very at home and had a great time staying at their place. Loved the selection of board games and the spacious outdoor area where we enjoyed some bbq. The airbnb is also very close to the beach and town proper. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Whitianga 😊

A lovely spot to stay on a very busy weekend. Walking distance to the beach and close to the action when we wanted it to be. Clean and tidy and good amenities. Good communication and clear instructions helped a lot.

We loved our stay here, such a beautiful place and in such a great location. It was just a short drive to everywhere we planned to go. We had everything we needed, with a full kitchen for us to us, it made cooking super easy for such a big group! We would love to come back here!

This is a comfortable bach across the road from one of the worlds most beautiful beaches The kitchen is well equipped and there is heaps of fridge/ freezer space It is a perfect spot for a beach holiday

This is a gem of a place if you want a really peaceful private location. The fact that it was only one of a handful of properties at the end of a private drive made it really safe for kids and quiet and peaceful. The beach was on the door step- perfect for a swim before breakfast and wonderful to just sit on the deck and enjoy the stunning view. We loved having the use of the kayaks too. We used it as a great base for day trips too. We went to Port Jackson one day which is stunning and a shorter trip to see the amazing Kauri trees. A really really special place - can’t recommend it enough .

We had an amazing stay. Such a beautiful view over the estuary - we kayaked when the tide was in and played in the little rivers when it was out. Such a quick walk across the road to the surf beach where we used the body boards provided. Would stay again.

The view that we wake up to every morning is spectacular! The compact kitchen has everything one needs to prepare a decent meal. Alan is friendly and walks us through what we needed to know about the house. There are reclining chairs and grill provided for our use.

We loved our staying at Faye’s place in Whangamata. It was sparkling clean and well appointed, and the location is amazing - just a tiny walk to the amazing beach with beautiful sea views from the living room and balcony. Faye was so friendly with her communication and was extremely understanding when we interrupted her Friday evening by accidentally locking ourselves out 🫣 (thanks again!!). I would high recommend a stay here and would love to visit again. All the best Faye.

Great place to stay only a 1 minute walk from the huge Whitianga beach. Comfortable space for 2 people, and there’s an excellent fish and chip shop between you and the beach. Nice setup with a BBQ and microwave. Recommended.
