Carole is always quick to respond which is wonderful!! Cottage was exactly what we needed and location was great for us!!

Our New Year week had every possible kind of weather. The cottage was a cosy refuge when the rain and wind were doing their worst. All the facilities were great, comfy bed, well-equipped kitchen, everything just the way you’d expect. Our terrier enjoyed being right beside the sea front. And the sun did shine, too, and we had a sauna and swim in the sea. All outstanding.

The room was clean and the kitchen was big. Worth for Money and great natural location

Loving stay over New Year, everything as described & great communication with Mellisa. Brilliant walk through the Galloway Forest from the doorstep. The cottage was warm & inviting & we had everything 4 adults needed. We will definitely be back for another stay 😊

Absolutely beautiful property, the decor and the furniture are very in keeping with the age of the property. There was even a Narnia wardrobe! The Hot Tub is extremely private and has beautiful views into the woods. The kitchen and bathroom have a more modern feel and were both very clean. Martyn offers logs for the fire in the sitting room which is such a nice touch, especially after hot tubbing. A welcome bottle of bubbles on arrival to enjoy throughout our stay was very much appreciated. Our daughter loved her room and the turreted stairs made you feel like you were in your own mini castle. Martyn is a fabulous host, very friendly and very responsive with communication. Thank you so much for a wonderful couple of days away, we will be back!

We've just returned from a fantastic 4 night stay at Carmen's beautiful cottage. We had our dog and he loved the large fully enclosed gardens. Carmen was a very friendly, communicative host who suggested a great riverside walk which my wife and I enjoyed as well as doggo. The cottage was perfectly placed being out of the way, but only 20 minutes easy walk from Sanquhar. Can't recommend it (and Carmen) enough!

A really beautiful spot surrounded by trees. The costs couldn’t have been more helpful and the house was perfect. I would say that both inside the house and the natural surroundings were more beautiful than could be seen in the photographs.

Everything as described, a good host, Therese gave us information about local bakers and some eating establishments which were excellent. We would certainly go again, the weather was in our favour, which was another bonus

This was just what me and my friend needed. A couple of days away from working life and the stresses. Caravan was immaculate, had everything you needed and felt like a little haven and home from home

Me and my partner had a last minute one night stay. A lovely young man checked us in, he was super friendly and helpful. The lodge is stunning, it is so cosy and has everything you need. It is spotlessly clean too. The hot tub was ready to use when we arrived and it looks out onto beautiful scenery. We will definitely be back and will be recommending to family and friends. Thank you David for a great stay.

Just home from a weekend stay with our 2 young kids. We had a fantastic few days, some well needed down time ahead of a busy Christmas. The lodge was beautiful inside & out with everything you needed & more. The hot tub was a great addition - even in the Scottish rain! Karen is a superb host, couldn’t recommend this place enough! We will 100% be back in the summer months x

I booked Dorota’s place last minute for a peaceful get away with my daughter and friend It was everything we needed and more Peaceful and so beautiful It’s right on the end on the corner next to the gate to go into the forest and the field opposite with the horses made it for me Sat on the balcony with a cuppa listening to the birds and watching the horses The place is decorated so cute and feels so homely and has everything you need Dorota kept in touch throughout I was really felt like I was in a good friends place The dogs loved it lots of new smells along the forest walks and beautiful lochs My daughter and her friend went fishing both days Overall we had a lovely couple of days away We will definitely be back Thank you

The caravan was lovely, the park peacefully and the wee welcome book with hints and tips left by Angeline was a lovely touch.

Hi the caravan as lovely as advertised however we were unaware that the pub amusements, pool, etc could only be used by ‘blue pass’ holders. We arrived after six when office was closed. Disappointed seven year old … saved us a fortune though thanks Gemma

We throughly enjoy our stay, We were able to check in a little earlier than the normal which was much appreciated by us. The property was just what we had hoped for and everything from start to finish was great. Earl had communicated to us well and we would certainly recommend this property to anyone.

Lovely peaceful place to stay, we were lucky and picked a fairly mild weekend in feb, wood and coal were provided but brought extra to have the fire on all weekend. Toilet and shower in the building were clean and close in proximity. Stephanie and Rick were lovely hosts and most welcoming. Would love to come back when it’s a bit warmer ☺️ ☀️

The coach house was perfect for our family group of 10 adults. The sitting room and dining area was a lovely space to relax and dine in. We loved the wood burning stove which gives out such a good heat. The whole house was warm and cosy during a cold February weekend. Bed linen and towels were good quality and we enjoyed tasting local produce from the hamper. The drive in was further than we had expected but it’s a lovely private and peaceful location. The hot tub was a welcome addition although it did take a long time ( plus lots of logs) to get up to temperature. I would recommend the Coach House for a large party or gathering - we all enjoyed our stay!

Just back from spending Xmas day & Boxing Day at The Retreat Check in was easy & the accommodation itself was immaculate and a beautiful location Leah & Gary had decorated for us with beautiful lights & Xmas tree which made our stay extra special They had also left a bottle of Prosecco for us & left breakfast pack and milk which was a lovely & kind gesture The accommodation had everything we needed , towels , bedding , everything you could think of We really couldn’t speak highly enough of the hosts and their accommodation and we can’t wait to book up again

Despite some very changable weather, I had a great stay with 3 dogs. Having the big paddock for walks was great. The cabin is really cosy and comfortable even with wild winds and horizonal rain and the dogs loved it. The local forest walks were really quiet and all the exercise wore out the dogs and gave me very peaceful evenings. I was able to have a good look at the stars. The fresh eggs Helen provided were really tasty. I hope to go again.

The cottage was a perfect base for our 3 nights stay. Everything was lovely and clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. The bathroom is gorgeous! We could have easily spent longer there. The beach was 5 minutes walk away and great for exercising our dog. We would definitely stay there again 😊

We had a great stay in Largs. Accommodation was spacious but cosy and warm. Excellent location, easily walkable distance into Largs to station, shops, restaurants and pubs! WiFi was adequate for remote working. Would definitely recommend!
