Holiday rentals in Milford

We enjoyed the peaceful setting of Birdsong Cottage and loved our walks in the ecosanctuary next door. The history of this home is truly remarkable, and we appreciated having the historical context to deepen the experience. The kitchen was large and well-stocked, with a good-sized table for bigger gatherings. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and enjoying the gorgeous view over a glass of sparkling wine. Thank you, Rose, for your hospitality and for your stewardship of the beautiful ecosanctuary next door!

Words can't quite explain the feeling my wife and I experienced staying at The Lookout. From pulling into the drive way, entering the home and settling in for a few days. Magical is the best I can come up with. Bec and her husband have a gem and we are grateful that they share it.

This B&B is large, well appointed, and very well maintained. A short drive to Christchurch airport and to Arthur's Pass there's plenty to see. We only stayed two nights, but this would work very well for longer stays too. The master bedroom can be made very dark, and is quiet, so we slept very well. Corinne is very outgoing and helpful, we had a couple of nice chats and found out about her property, and got introduced to the cow and sheep. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a quiet stay in the countryside.

We had a wonderful stay at Leonie’s property. It was Wow from arriving to stepping inside. Such a beautiful home and so much thought has gone into the needs of the guests. The welcoming sundries were so thoughtful and thank Leonie so much for them. It is an ideal place to stay when visiting the region of Canterbury. If in this area we highly recommend staying here.

Amazing place! Tracy has everything thought out to the smallest detail: homemade bread with jam in the form of a welcome gift, toys for the child, high chair. We were moved by such attention and care. The apartment is part of the chic house of the hosts. The apartment has everything you may need. There is silence and nature around the house. Tracy apartments are much better in life than in the photos. Our recommendations!

We only stayed for one night but we wish we had booked an extra night. The property is just up the hill from the lake and easy to find. it was very large and was excellent for our family of five. The kids loved it. if you are thinking about staying around Lake Tekapo you would be very hard pushed to find a better place to stay. Overall and excellent experience from start to finish.
