Luxurious, self contained property, perfect for a stay in the beautiful Welsh countryside. The property was converted from an old barn and is light and airy with underfloor heating. There are extensive gardens and an outside kitchen for use by guests- perfect for a BBQ. Stunning views can be seen from the property which is in walking distance of the town centre and station. It is a perfect location for walking and cycling (secure bike storage is available) and exploring the area more generally.

Fisher's Retreat is a secluded medieval barn set in the magical rural setting of the Olchon Valley, it enjoys spectacular views of The Black Mountains and is a great base for hill walking. Very off-the-beaten-track. We are in the Brecon Beacons Dark Skies National Park. The pretty towns of Hay-on-Wye and Abergavenny are a short drive away. The enchanting Olchon Brook runs through the grounds of sloping fields and lake. These waters attract some rare wildlife including swallows and otters.

Farm stay, in beautiful rural Monmouthshire

We are a working dairy goat farm, milking 600 goats twice a day. Our milk goes into a delicious soft goats cheese, which is made in the neighbouring town of Abergavenny and sold through many of the large supermarkets. We are ideally situated for cycling and walking, with many footpaths nearby, including Offa's Dyke and a fabulous range of mountains. We are within 2 miles of the renowned Michelin star Walnut Tree Inn and there are many other wonderful country pubs in the locality.

The Little House in the Mountains - just for Two!

Chill out in our love-nest made for two in the beautiful Black Mountains! The cute wooden house has ALL mod cons, complete with small, perfectly formed kitchen, a wood burning stove (free logs) and a comfy double bed with spectacular pillow views of the Black Hill. In winter it’s all snuggling round the log burner with breath-taking views and wonderful walks, and in summer it’s outside living in a flower-rich meadow.
