The Old Stables

ElissaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Utterly faultless. The amenities are 5* and met or exceded expectations. The pool and hot tub/spa is blissful. Everything clean, convenient and well thought out. TV has millions of channels so even if it is raining you will have a great stay. A lot of care has gone into this accommodation, excellent attention to sustainability throughout. I will be going again. Things i would recommend to do...explore the beaches on the Gower, Oxwitch is lovely and good food at the bistro on the beach. Go to a male voice choir rehearsal, we went to Gwalia in Swansea, they were super friendly and it was very special to hear the singing (thanks, diolch). 110% recommend this cottage. 👌

DanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The "cottage" is very peaceful with a bubbling stream right next to the steaming hot tub. It has an amazing log burner, which was a godsend on the cool evenings. The dog-friendly park is only 1 minute away via a bridge. Fabulous location. Perfect for exploring the western and central Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons); including Waterfall Country, Llyn y Fan Fach, Carn Goch... and the "Top Gear" road. We'll be back to explore more of what the area has to offer from this great base.

It was an idyllic getaway in a lovely cottage surrounded by the beautiful Welsh countryside. It was lovely to meet one of the owners Rachel but it was a very private friendly accommodation.

Hen Beudy: rural retreat in the Afan Valley

KatRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Group of us had great time in Hen Beudy. The place is exactly what we needed for trail running race in the area over the weekend. Very spacious house with lots of room, its warm, practical and clean with downstairs hard flooring. Relaxing in hot tub while watching green surroundings was lush after running those hills. It is in very peaceful location with no other houses just the forest so very quiet. Plenty to do in the area, weekend is not long enough. Phil and Debbie are great hosts, they made sure we had everything we needed. Would love to go back to stay there again.

Highfield Bungalow

ShannonRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The cottage itself was lovely. A few niceties, such as a few tea bags, coffee etc. were missing on arrival. Which is always nice after a long drive before we headed out to the shops but not the end of the world! On arrival a note does mention someone coming and attending the hot tub each day but we didn’t notice/see anyone the whole trip, which was fine! However, at like 8am of check out day I was getting changed in the kitchen (to not wake my partner) and a man walked past the patio doors with no warning to the hot tub and left the bag of clean sheets on the front door step which felt odd and made us feel rushed to leave at 08:30am. The Brecon Beacons are an hour drive and there’s a few long hikes to do from the cottage with the hot tub to soak in afterwards so was perfect for us.

Beudy Bach

EmilyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a lovely long weekend at Beudy Bach. The host was helpful and communicative, check-in was quick and simple and we received a friendly welcome. The property was exactly as described online - a quaint converted barn in the middle of an active farm. Inside, the property was clean and well-presented with all the essentials and amenities that you could need. Everything in the property was in working order and as photographed, and it had a comforting, cosy feel. The property is in close proximity to many walking spots and beautiful parts of the country, all very dog friendly. We would highly recommend Beudy Bach. The only thing I will mention is that there is a long country road leading up to the property which is very uneven with a lot of potholes - as farm tracks often are! My car doesn't have great clearance and I did struggle to drive on this road and received a few scrapes and scratches as a result. But this didn't take away from the great experience that we had.

Charming Shepherd's Cottage, Pets Welcome,Parking

Anne-MarieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
A perfect cottage for a couple with a dog- the secure garden with grass was a great bonus. Everything was thought of to make travelling with a dog easy and welcome. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our evening meals and the Welsh Cakes were a lovely local touch. The bed is comfy with a good range of pillows. We made the most of being close to the beach and the valleys, exploring the local areas.

Cosy stone cottage surrounded by nature

JocelynRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Good facilities, peaceful, good ambience, warm and cozy. It was a bit hard to find the turnoff when we arrived in last light - it did help to read the detailed location information that our hosts had sent, and to put the actual street address they sent us into Google.

Cottage Bridgend. Beautiful views, near coast.

SianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lisa’s beautiful home was exactly what I needed visiting Bridgend for the first time. It was close to my nana who was a 10 minute walk, only a 5 minute walk to the McArthur Glen where there are shops and Restaurants and a small taxi ride into town, Ogmore & Porthcawl. There are lovely walks in the surrounding areas & a great local pub down the road. Lisa’s home was warm, inviting & just the right place. Will definitely stay again when in the area. 🩵

Canyon Cottage - Waterfall Country, Brecon Beacons

CeriRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We absolutely loved our stay here! We were so lucky to have the waterfalls right on our doorstep! It was a really beautiful location. The beds were super comfy (no cheap mattresses with mattress toppers here), the place was warm and there was ample hot water. The garden was a wonderful bonus too. Cannot fault it!
