Holiday rentals with lake access in Nelson County

Rhonda and Tim’s house was perfect for our families on our ski weekend! The location was great and close to ski facilities and great restaurants. We loved the open floor plan on the second floor because it allowed us to all hang out together while we were cooking, eating and playing games. We used the back deck and the grill and everything we needed for cooking our meals was there in the kitchen. The sun room was perfect for morning coffee and watching the sun come up. We got snow while we were there and there was plenty of room in the yard for the kids to play and build a snowman. We would love to come back in the summer! Rhonda and Tim were very responsive and every time we reached out with a question they got right back to us the info we needed. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!!!

We had a great stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly and communicated with us well before our stay. The place itself was beautiful and in such a convenient location for the winter activities we wanted to do. We would certainly stay here again!

The perfect getaway for my children and me!!! Close to Wintergreen. Quiet, private and very inviting!!! We skiied during the day and hung out at the house during the night. We had to hunker down to avoid the rain. The house was great. Lots of inside games. The kitchen is well appointed with plenty of consumable items, paper towels, garbage bags... and has all the cookware we needed. We had a great weekend... I will return!!

We had 2 families of 4. We had plenty of space. The kids occupied the downstairs, walk out basement area. The location was very convenient to the slopes and tubing. We were able to take a hike while we were there too. Enjoyed a few breweries as well. If swimming/hot tub is important to you, I'd call the resort and inquire about the use. These were not things that we were able to take advantage of during our stay, but we had plenty of other activities.

What a unique experience! An old schoolhouse turned home. The windows were breathtaking, the master bathroom was an open layout and huge! There was lots of Elise’s artwork and pottery around. The sun glistening on the pond was beautiful this morning, and it was nice and quiet. There were fresh eggs, cracker jacks, apples, and granola. There’s restaurants nearby, but yet the place is tucked away for the serenity. Will totally return! Thank you Elise!

I take a yearly trip to the nellysford/wintergreen area with a group of friends and this has been our favorite house. House has an amazing view with great amenities. Nebiyu made us feel right at home and was super responsive and helpful. I would 100% stay here again.

Hiker’s Hideaway is a gem! Very well appointed kitchen (including spices, some condiments, and gadgets) and a propane grill outside was outstanding. They had games galore and books/ DVDs for days. The living room was spacious while cozy and the fireplace was a hit. The master bed and linens were very nice. The second bedroom was a great setup for my 3 kids. Parking was about 20 steps from the front door and the house was easy to find. Proximity to hiking and breweries was great. Would visit again!

We loved our stay! The house was beautifully decorated, clean, and had everything you could need to host a family. A lot of thought has been put into making everything seamless and stress free. The game room was amazing, and hot tub provided a lovely view. Would definitely recommend!
