Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in New England

The hosts were friendly and the cozy apartment was ideally located for our stay. It was private and quiet, and we appreciated the in- unit washer/dryer, refrigerator and microwave.

Karyl has hosting down to a perfection! We were late arrival in Karyl was up waiting for us. Their house is perfectly clean and was beautifully decorated for Christmas! The lake views were amazing. She had breakfast waiting for my daughter and I when we came downstairs. They had some great local recommendations for us. Would stay again. Thank you Karyl!

Lisa is an amazing host and the house is beautiful. It’s so nicely decorated and clean. In addition, breakfast was delicious. Lisa is so kind and puts so much thought into every detail to make for a truly special experience. Had a wonderful time at Daniel’s Airbnb! We were greeted with a warm reception and delicious apple cake with delicious sweet tea! I can’t say enough good things about Daniel and his beautiful home. We felt right at home. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. Our accommodations were very comfortable. Best part was the delicious breakfast with coffee and tea and scrumptious omelette with homemade hash browns! I wanted the recipe! I highly recommend Daniel’s place, it made our vacation a little more special! PS: Reds Eats in Wiscasset Maine was the best ( Paul Newman and Robert Redford ate there too) Thanks for the recommendation!!

Claudia was an awesome host and very responsive. We had a good night stay in a nice private bedroom with private bathroom. We really appreciated her hospitality with breakfast food that was left out so kindly for us. Although it was such a brief stay on our road trip, we will consider staying here again in the future if we are in the area!

Loved our stay! Just a quick weekend getaway for a friend and me and it was perfect for that. The yard is incredibly peaceful, filled with birds and a gorgeous view. The beds were very comfortable, and Josette’s breakfast was a delicious start to the day. We would love to come back again.

We had a lovely time at Blythe's place. The house was clean, cozy and so close to Bellayre mountain, which was perfect for our ski trip. Would definitely stay there again!

If you’re looking for a quintessential VT home to spend a night (or a few), you will not be disappointed. Beautiful home in picturesque East Middlebury. Only four mile drive to Middlebury, so much to do and see and the bed was super cozy.

Martha's B&B is a wonderful spot to stay. The cycling path is right at Martha's listing.

Couldn’t have better things to say about this place and Pat! The location is PERFECT…walking distance to shops/restaurants on Thames and Bowens Wharf. It was my boyfriend and my first time in a bed and breakfast and it was fabulous - breakfast was perfect, and we even had the option to take it to go if we wanted. Pat made us feel at home, gave great suggestions and the blue suite was surprisingly large! Would stay again when back in Newport!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, it was exactly what I'd hoped for - quiet, relaxing, restorative! The swing in the backyard is a peaceful place to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Ricki is wonderful host and has created a lovely homey space for her guests. I'd stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

This was our first time staying at the Candlebay Inn and we definitely will be back. Connie was so wonderful and sweet, greeted us at the door—gave us a brief tour and local recommendations. The Daisy Room was super cozy, very clean and quiet. In the morning, home cooked breakfast was delicious, Connie was nice enough to tell us about the backstory of the inn which we really enjoyed. 10/10 recommend!!

Sue and Eric were lovely hosts; Sue's breakfasts were amazing - just the homemade touch we were looking for after a long road trip. Eric had plenty of recommendations, from tidal pools to hiking spots in Acadia. The B&B was cozy and had so many books to pick up and read. Lamoine beach, just down the road, made for a very pleasant early morning walk. I'd recommend Sue and Eric's place to anyone coming to Acadia!

Always a favorite of mine to stay at mountain sports inn. My go-to when in killington. Great price, perfect location, and always easy to check in and out. Never a complaint!

What a pleasure to spend time with Diane and Patrice. As soon as we walked through the door, we felt right at home, welcomed like royalty. Diane and Patrice are great enthusiasts. They delighted us with their discussions and lunch filled with thoughtful touches. I still dream of that fruit salad with those coconut shavings!

Karen is a very sweet and welcoming host! Her breakfasts are a highlight when visiting and the room is perfect for a cozy getaway from the city life.

We loved our stay with Margaret at this B&B! The house is lovely and our room was clean, super comfortable, and had a warm homey feel. The breakfasts were delicious and Margaret was so accommodating. We had early starts for Acadia and while her formal breakfast is from 8-10 am, she prepared baked goods and coffee to go for us. The one day we had formal breakfast was DELISH! Margaret was communicative, incredibly accommodating and flexible, greeted us kindly on arrival, and she and her husband were excellent hosts, intent on making sure our visit was just to our liking. The area is very quiet (which she let us know ahead of time) and worked perfectly for us to rest up between long days at Acadia and grabbing early dinner on the way back.

Really nice place with comfy beds and multiple amenities! Bonus: she had kitties that we could pet:)

Lovely home, great location and friendly and helpful host. Felt more like a "hosted B&B or inn" rather than the more common experience I've had with Air B&B of the host being available but not a visible presence. If you are looking for a private, nonengaging experience, this might not be for you. However, if you enjoy meeting your host, we found Bob to be warm and cheery and he made us a lovely breakfast with excellent coffee. Rosy was away so we did not meet her, however, her decorating talents were much on display from the tableware to the linens and accoutrements, all of which made us feel like we were special guests.

What a lovely and beautiful location amongst the woods... perfect living space, a wonderful kitchen with everything we could want or need. Sharon is the consummate host. We absolutely love being there and our 2 dogs do too! We can't wait for our next visit!!

Catalpa House is exactly what you want in a small town retreat; comfortable bedding, well chosen amenities, superb breakfast, accommodating but not intrusive hosts, lovely common areas with local literature and current periodicals. It doesn't get better.

PERFECT place to stay ..a definite 5/5 stars across. AN INCREDIBLE host! Marie-Claude's home is perfect. Our private self contained private entry suite with plush queen bed, large clean private washroom with full shower, fridge. with lots of large windows was just perfect. This place was completely comfortable and well worth it, a home away from home atmosphere that is hard to find. Super clean and wonderful hosts. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone!

This is the most beautiful AirBNB I have ever stayed in. The house is impeccably decorated, clean, and well stocked. Although attached to the main house, it is quiet and feels very private. Anne was very responsive but respectful of our space. We will definitely book again, as my sister lives close by.
