Alison’s place was perfect for two young families. Incredible location, so central to the shops and an easy stroll to the estuary. The house is really well equipped. Our group of four had a great time at Peter and Jacqueline’s place and would definitely recommend it to others. The view was amazing (all the bedrooms had water views!). They were so helpful and the two resident cats were charming little co-hosts. We also enjoyed the spa on the upstairs deck—a great way to relax after a day of touring.

This was such a welcome break after a hectic time travelling. Lovely seating area with views over the water. Leeann was very welcoming and accommodating. The apartment was clean and nicely laid out. The hot tub was a bonus.

I have stayed in a lot of places but Anneke’s place is very special. If I could give it 10 stars I would. The view and layout of the unit is just about the best I have ever experienced with an Air bnb. The bed was comfortable, the unit was immaculate and waking up to that view was wonderful. We stayed for a week and we could have stayed much longer. We thank her for her kindness and hospitality.

Five adults and six children had a wonderful weekend in Mangawhai, using Carolynn's house as our base. There was plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner, both inside and out. The kitchen was big enough for several cooks to work in at once and the dining table was big enough for us to all sit around so mealtimes were a treat, not a chore. Amazing view to the east, including sunrise across water and moonscape sand dunes. The spa at the end of the day was a special treat for our family, as was the large TV screen in the lounge. We missed a few books and board games but everything else was in good supply. Thank you for a special long weekend with my family Carolynn.

Very clean and tidy house with outstanding views over Mangawhai Estuary and out to the sea beyond. And the deck to enjoy the views made it even better!! We will definitely look to book here again if we are up this way in the future.

The stay at Blackrock was truly outstanding. The beautiful house that is located on the cliff side with stunning views and crisp and clean condition wow’ed every single one of our group. Exceeded all expectations!

Maggie’s place is aptly named for it is truly outstanding. This was our second stay here and we’re already planning our third. Their place feels truly like home. The views of the garden and landscape beyond are mesmerising and peaceful. I found it to be a great place to research and assemble an upcoming presentation. Maggie and her husband, Dave are amongst the very best hosts that Airbnb has to offer. They are friendly, interesting, and supremely nice. A truly wonderful stay!

Chris is an amazing host, very easy to communicate always responsive. She gave us a welcome gift of the most delicious Luisa plum from her garden. The apartment is located in a very nice neighborhood. The garden is beautiful and very relaxing. The house is very big and is great for a long term stay coz they have all amenities needed. I will definitely recommend this bnb to friends and family

Very comfortable little place with a ton of nice little touches like artwork, good appliances, comfortable outdoor seating. Very close to the beach and the estuary. Even if you aren't a dog person, the dogs are so well behaved and quiet, they occasionally will visit you and you can give them a pat if you like.

Beautiful spot. Unfortunately the weekend we went was raining & huge swell but bach was sheltered and out of the wind. Sea looked amazing watching rain squalls coming in & rainbows. Will have to stay again & hopefully weather will be sunny next time.

We stayed for 3 nights as part of a larger trip, showing family from abroad around the North Island. We wish we could have stayed longer! Martin is a lovely host, the bach is perfect - spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, well-maintained deck. It is on a quiet road, a short walk to a vineyard and shops, and short drive to some lovely beaches. Couldn't ask for more!!

We were six couples who had a thoroughly enjoyable break from city life for 5 days. Used it as a base to do day trips to go fishing, trip to Cape Reinga and Kerikeri. Big comfortable home and friendly responsive host

There are not enough words to say how special this place is. This is my second trip and it felt even more welcoming than the last time. The hosts, Rob and Joe, could not have been kinder or more responsive. It’s rare to find a place that has both such high end amenities and is genuinely welcoming. This is a truly special place, both because of the location, view, and over the top amenities, and because of the hosts, Joe, Rob, and Udo.

We love our stay at Greg's place. It's a great place to stay with the family who likes privacy and calming surrounding. It's close to town and beach, love the spa and pool although it was ice cold during our stay but I bet it was great on a more sunny day 😅 Overall, its worth the rate and love it!

We came up from Auckland for a wedding & the property was local to everything The property was great and both Rob & his wife were lovely. We barely seen them so we decided to go say hello down at their Phat House bar in haruru. We had a couple of nephews come and visit while we were up aswell . Catching up with whanau and coming back to relax there was lovely .

We had a fantastic stay at Pacific Rendezvous, there were lots of amenities on site and beautiful walks we could access straight from our accomodation. The staff were friendly and the apartment was comfortable and gad everything we needed. We would love to visit again!

Our family really enjoyed this stay! We loved the layout of the home, having the sleep out allowed the kids to have their own space and we weren’t feeling like we were all on top of each other. The pool isn’t massive but enough for everyone to cool down. The distance to the shops is so close which was super handy for grocery top ups or ice cream runs. As it’s on the main road it is noisy in the front room and impacts getting in and out of the drive - but not an issue for us but worth noting. The host was super responsive as we were 30mins early. Will def be back to stay!
