Holiday rentals with a kayak in Ohio River

The host were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much and definitely will rent again.

Randy was a great host! We felt right at home for visiting family in the area. He even left us a sweet treat of Christmas cookies. The place was extremely clean and a great place to stay!

We checked in a night early due to incoming snow. The best decision ever. So beautiful and peaceful. I heard NO traffic or other people the entire time I was there. But.. There were deer and eagles. Sunsets in the hot tub, and the MOON over the river!! The place is full of God's beauty. Top 5 places I have ever stayed.

Great cottage stay near Summersville Lake. Beautiful pond in rear of property to sit and enjoy viewing while having my morning coffee. Easy walk to Fat Eddie's for the best ice cream. Just a couple minutes drive to the boat ramp, walking trails, restaurants, etc.

One of the best Airbnbs my family and I have ever stayed in. A beautifully-renovated historic home, that still keeps its charm with updated amenities. The home is located in a very peaceful, remote location. We enjoyed riding bikes and walking on the trail. Would love to visit again in the future.

Such a wonderful place to rest and recharge! We spent our Christmas here and it was magical! The moon shining on the lake, the beautiful, open floor plan, the little touches like a bottle of wine and decorations just made this a wonderful stay for us! Well-equipped kitchen, use of 3 kayaks and life jackets were huge perks! We will be back!

This was our second stay with Liz. We felt right at home when we walked in. Everything was super comfortable and loved all the afghans. It was so peaceful. Enjoyed coffee on the deck and listening to all the song birds.

Had a wonderful stay at Jesse’s place! Was perfect for a girls getaway! Very beautiful and scenic! Do want to make a few notes that may be helpful to others as they stay— most of the doors, including bathrooms, are barn doors that are quite loud and may be an issue for anyone with noise/privacy concerns. There’s also a closet that connects from the closet to the main bedroom and the basement bedroom is open to the walkout. These weren’t issues for us but had we been traveling with kids or another couple it may have been an issue. The house also has neighbors immediately next door on both sides, the neighbor’s dog will notice you and barks a lot haha the pictures made it seem a little more remote so just wanted to note there are neighbors very close by as there is not an image of the front of the house. The house also did not come with coffee or shampoo/conditioner/body wash as many airbnbs do so keep that in mind in your packing! We had to stop to buy coffee after realizing this haha

I was surprised when originally it said check in time was 5:00 PM couple days prior to checking in. I did reach out and he responded right away that nobody was there day before and we could check in anytime after 1:30 which was a huge relief. I had not seen a check in time when I booked. Everything about the place was as described and perfect. Note: there are no lights on the dock for night fishing. Matt at no time said there were and when I asked him if there was a place to turn on lights he actually said we could run into town purchase something and he would reimburse us. I thought that was going above and beyond. Fishing was great. It was a very nice place. I did pay more than I usually do after fees and taxes more than I usually do per night. After our stay I would be tempted to pay the money to stay there in the future. Matt is a great host.

My family had a great time. We did early Christmas and kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook. Comfortable beds.

Very cute place! An adorable cabin just like the pictures. Kris was quick to respond and very thoughtful and kind. I loved the extra attention to details like amenities you might need but are easy to forget. We've always had to buy detergent, but not here! It was the most well-stocked Airbnb we've stayed at yet. There were little figurines hidden throughout which were fun to find and add to😊 Lots of deer and a beautiful view of country and lake. Overall, a great stay!!

it was a beautiful place! the views are just amazing!! the house makes you feel at home. we tried fishing a few times, i think it might’ve just been too cold. the hot tub was a plus!! we brought board games & played while it was too cold to fish, but they have some there too! overall it was nice! they have everything you could possibly need for the kitchen, everything for the bathroom(towels, washcloths, toilet paper), tv in the room, and extra linens of course! you can’t beat the view!

If you’re looking for something peaceful with a great view, this was perfect. The hot tub and back deck were our favorites. Comfortable seating on the back porch. The lake was beautiful. The living room tv was not a smart tv. There were plenty of dvds to choose from, but they were outdated so that’s the only thing I would change. The privacy screen around the hot tub was convenient. The gravel road leading up to the cabin was very unexpected because of the fact it reminded me of being in the mountains with how steep it got at a couple points. The host was quick to respond back with any issue you may have. The shopping areas in Paducah were only 20 minutes away which was a great thing because that’s where we spent a few hours and didn’t have to travel far. The neighbors were super close so we kept all of our curtains closed because of not knowing if anyone could see inside our cabin. I would love to come back in the warmer months!

Rebecca was awesome! Answered all of our questions and was very helpful! The shower drain froze 2 days in and within 15 minutes she had maintenance there to fix it! Very nice location, off grid so to speak and we were the only people in our section. I would’ve stayed forever if I didn’t have to work!

Loved this cabin and our unplugged Thanksgiving! There were nine of us, plus two babies. We appreciated the big open space, plenty of room around the table and in the living room. Beds were comfy and showers were great. Well-stocked kitchen. So many DVDs to choose from! Nice gas grill and wood stove. View was breathtaking. Dana was an excellent host. Loved the shuffleboard table! Best part by far was no wifi and spotty service. It forced us to relax, talk to each other, play games, and enjoy nature. Highly recommend this place!

This is a true hidden gem. Darren has built a beautiful campsite in what may be the most beautiful place I have seen. My wife, daughter, and I had real time to connect & enjoy the serenity of what was our first (definitely not last) visit with Darren ( Paul, Brandy) and the beautiful countryside. Looking forward to a spring visit and would recommend this site to anyone and everyone!
