Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ontonagon County

If you plan to ski at Snow River, you have to stay here. Even if it’s a little more room than you need for a smaller group, it’s worth the upgrade to have 5 bathrooms/pool table/own space. You can walk right up to the first lift from here. Bars are across the street. The place was clean. 10/10 experience with this rental property.

John was awesome. Accommodating and responsive. He went out of his way to ensure we had what we needed and enjoyed our stay.

Place just as described and shown in pics. Easy parking for both trucks and trailers. Easy access and ride to snowmobile trails right from property. House was clean and warm. Kitchen was great and Rachael was very prompt in all communications. Make sure you get the door code before getting to property, there is no cell service at the property but there is by the American Inn, a few miles north in Silver City … lesson learned :). Internet worked great, easy login. There were phone charger cables and other minor things like spices, coffee, etc just in case you forgot something - that were nice to see - definitely recommend.

We LOVED this place. Super private, clean, and smelled good. The home is decorated tastefully and makes you feel like you are staying in a welcoming environment rather than a cold or sterile environment. I like sleeping with a fan on, and appreciated that there were several in the home. Hosts were great and super responsive. While this is a pretty private place, you are within about 10 minutes of stores and restaurants. Stargazing is amazing as there’s very little light pollution. We would return here and highly recommend you stay with Angela!

This house was exactly what we needed for our snowmobile getaway! The trail was easily accessible and we loved the convenience of having the porch set up for all of our gear. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great place to stay! The house was just like the pictures and listed showed. My husband and I were here for a snowmobiling trip. Plenty of space for parking. We even got to bring our dog too! Dan, Charles, and Anthony were extremely responsive and made the trip simple. Definitely would recommend them and the Mountain View Home!

The house was perfect! Close to the trails! Loved the rooms, washer and dryer, and the kitchen was equipped with everything I need! Kristy was very pleasant to work with

Absolutely wonderful! We travel here for a ski race annually, and this is the best place by far we have ever rented. Clean, modern, and very comfortable. Will definitely plan on staying again next year if it is available!

This is a perfect place if you are skiing at the Snowriver Mountain hills. The place is a little dated and the walls are a little thin, but we didn't want to spend our days in the condo so it didn't bother us. Peter is very polite and responsive.

Great as always. Everything you need after a day of skiing!!!! Close to Powderhorn, Blackjack and Indianhead. This is our 4th or 5th stay in this condo.

The place is great. Stayed there 3 times this winter for snowmobiling. Don't want to stay anywhere else when I'm in the area. Go see Nicholas in the front of the building and get your car detailed while you're there. Ha, he's great too.

Our group had a blast here for a weekend of skiing! It was great to be right on the run. The wood stove was so cozy after long days of skiing. The hosts are very responsive, which was so appreciated. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

We so enjoyed our stay! It was homey, comfortable, and warm. Our host was very helpful with local recommendations and was able to offer a flexible checkout time, which was a welcome touch. Big Powderhorn was an easy 10 minute walk away!

On snowmobile trips we're usually looking for good trailer parking, comfortable beds, and a bonus of restaurants and gas on site. This place checked all the boxes.

loved this place for the skiing right next the the bear creek lift. Very clean and exceptionally outfitted. The sunsets off the deck were breathtaking when available. My 2 puggies loved the fireplace. I will 100% be back next year.

Great location, ski in/ski out. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, clean, nice furniture, nice TV w/cable, close to Jacks Sky Bar.

We found and booked this condo with only a few days notice to spend some time playing in the snow. The condo was clean, comfortable and as described in the photos and had everything we needed and more. We appreciated the fireplace! While we had brought our own coffee supplies, it was nice to see the coffee bar so well stocked. The beds were a firm foam type, initially we thought they may be too firm, but once you settle in, they were comfortable. We had a great time skiing and snowshoeing in the area and condo #5 was relaxing place to unwind. There were new fluffy towels in the bathroom along with shower soap, shampoo and conditioner as well as hand soap- also appreciated. Thanks for a great stay.

Excellent location, right on the ski mountain and the closest condo to the parking lot

This is a very nice and spacious place in a convenient building whether you are skiing at Black River (which is ski in - ski out) or Jackson Creek Summit which is only 10 minutes away and has easy parking. Calley is super responsive and easy to work with.

Great place to stay and ski!

Alexis and Luke are great hosts! They were very proactive in communicating leading up to our arrival and prior to our check out. Instructions for the lockbox, keys and garbage were very clear. We have stayed there before but for first timers, the instructions on how to get to the lodge were very clear also. They always had wood stocked at the entrance for the fireplace which was super nice. Very clean and cozy. It's ideal for skiing in and out at Black River Basin. We love staying at the Bunkhouse and will be back!

Wonderful stay at Jay’s Place 214. The location was quiet and close to all ski areas we visited. We will be back here if in the area.
