Pacheco Tours - #2

MeganRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We are very glad we picked to stay in one of Erick's cabins for our first few days in Drake Bay. We arrived during a tropical storm and Erick kindly arranged pick-up for us despite being only a few minutes up the road from the beach. The cabin has a fantastic view of the bay and we spotted lots of wildlife. We had arranged a Corcovado tour through Erick's company, Pacheco Tours, and he was a champion at keeping us informed of developments (through a 2-day power outage!) I can't recommended his place enough.

#15 Cabana Privada Vista al Mar Jade Mar

PrzemysławRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great place to stay in Drake Bay! Super peaceful - perfect if you want to relax and enjoy the nature around. The cabin is surrounded by trees, and we spotted toucans, iguanas, even some macaws right from the terrace, which was amazing. The host is really kind and takes great care of the guests. You’ve got everything you need here. There's even a washing machine and a spin dryer, which is super useful in this humid part of Costa Rica. If you're coming to Drake, this place is a great choice.

Eco Farm Rustic Cabin "Congo" 2 persons

LouisRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Simply the most rewarding place and experience of our stay. Yos & Osvaldo Farm is an oasis in the middle of the jungle. It's not just a stay on a Costa Rican farm, it's an ambitious project, an authentic experience in a remote corner of Costa Rica run by two exceptional people because of their courage and the many knowledge of life/survived in the forest. A big thank you to Yos for his hospitality and to Osvaldo for the very interesting conversations about fauna and flora, DIY and life in general. If you want to live an “adventure” in Costa Rica: you've come to the right place here.

Private Honeymoon Villa Colibri

AinsleyRating, 5 stars4 months ago
My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights and we were very pleased with the place!!! It is up a mountain and away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to Uvita and everything you need! It feels like your own little piece of paradise surrounded by wild life and lots of beautiful plants. We saw a monkey in the tree upon arrival. The river is so close that you can hear it and it’s super peaceful!! Very beautiful water falls near by, the national park, and the beach!!! I will say I don’t know if we would’ve made it up the mountain and to the resort without a 4x4! Also, I must note that the upstairs and downstairs unit are separate. The bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. So, if you’re like me and have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you do have to go outside and downstairs to use the bathroom!!! But it was really no problem. Incredible place for the price! Highly recommend 😌

Beautiful surroundings, delicious breakfasts, comfortable bed and good recommendations from the host (visit la Cusinga for a drink or food and enjoy the beautiful view and the walking trails around the property!). If you have a 4x4 and want a more quiet stay, I’d recommend this place!

Paradiselodge - Romantic Hideaway, next to Nauyaca

ArielRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I went to visit the place with my wife because of our second anniversary and everything was perfect. Accessing the place was super simple, the toilet that for me is the most important thing; impeccable. I had certain doubts as to privacy, because other guests said that the room was next to the main street and since we slept like a baby, we never heard anything. And no, the room is nothing near the main street. Breakfast (not included) was delicious and very nutritious. But the best part was Emanuel; our host. It really took the time to get to know us and make us feel right at home. To explain the place and recommendations of the area. We were not another guest, we were real guests. In the end, 10/10, to the point we hope to be back soon. Thank you for everything.

Pino Makambú cabin, near Playas and Nauyaca

JakobRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Not too far from the beach and restaurants/bars of Dominical but definitely deep in nature. We thought the tree house concept was super cute, and there’s everything you need for a stay of a few days. We even hiked a 1/2 mile trail to a private waterfall on the property— amazing! 4x4 is a must to navigate the steep dirt road. It feels like glamping, yet it was also the only place we stayed in 2 weeks in Costa Rica that had AC, which was very helpful in the muggy afternoon. Overall had a great stay and would definitely come again if we ever find ourselves in the area again.

San Luis mountain View Cottage.

AlvaroRating, 5 stars2 months ago
A pleasant place to rest, located in a very quiet area and surrounded by nature. The house is super equipped, we literally felt right at home. The location is strategic according to where you want to go, the road is ballast and therefore the recommendation to go in a 4x4 car, but it is part of the adventure. Jordan and Pamela were attentive at all times before the trip and during our stay. The place is ideal to disconnect completely from the daily routine and enjoy the holidays.

A cabin full of life, a beautiful place

JeffRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Yorleni's cabin is amazing - just as the pics show. The living areas face directly into the forest and you feel at one with nature, yet have all the great amenities of a modern home. We enjoyed viewing beautiful birds and butterflies as we sat in the living areas and kitchen - too cool! The woodwork throughout the cabin is beautiful and kitchen, bathroom and bedroom perfect. The bed was extremely roomy and comfortable with a high powered ceiling fan above to keep you cool. The place was so peaceful that we hated to leave. A great little cabin that we'll definitely try to visit again!

Everything was perfect!! Thank you so much for the kind attention. Communication was perfect, as well as the accommodation and location. 4x4 required to access it, accommodation better equipped than our apartment! I recommend it 100%, go there without a second thought.

Glamping by the river

RyanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We spent an incredible 3 nights here. What an experience! So much wildlife! Howler, squirrel, and capuchin monkeys all over the place. Constant macaw and Amazon parrot chatter, plus basilisks, bats, and small caimans. It was amazing. So private and quiet. Such a positive change of pace from the overcrowded guided tours that are so prevalent in Costa Rica. I spent hours wandering the trails and wading up and down the river. Lack of A/C was not a problem as the fans kept the sleeping conditions quite nice. We did have a couple of our own blankets which I’m glad we brought for added comfort. Kitchen is very well equipped and we cooked all of our own meals. Stephanie is a super friendly and responsive host. Would definitely stay there again. Only word of caution is regarding the wifi: It works most of the time and was fine for emails and basic browsing but if you’re a full time digital nomad and need stable enough internet for Zoom calls etc it may be a challenge.

During our stay in Kimberly's Airbnb, everything met expectations for the place. Communication was easy. The Airbnb has frequent power outages in the evening. However, these were always very short and therefore did not disturb. The property is well suited for a stay to visit Corcovado National Park.

Great place to stay if you’re traveling to Ojochal. The house had everything I needed. Very cozy. I work online and the WiFi was good. Beautiful property and wonderful hosts! Very kind, helpful and accommodating. I appreciated it being new to this area of Costa Rica. The surroundings are so peaceful and relaxing. The hammock was great for lounging and the pool was nice to cool off in the afternoons. I enjoyed my stay! Thank you!

What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay! I have stayed at a lot of places in Costa Rica, and this is surely one of the best. Kim and Maj are incredible hosts, feeling like family immediately. Going above and beyond for me in so many ways. The guesthouse is simply perfect with incredible views. The little kitchen has everything one needs to cook a tasty meal. And the bird life is fantastic! I look forward to returning :)

Nature Lovers Sunset Villa

JulieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We absolutely love Nancy's Villa! We stayed here last year, and it was an easy decision that we would stay again on this years trip. If you want the true Costa Rican wildlife experience, stay here. If you want breath taking views, stay here. If you want privacy & relaxation, stay here. We had everything that we needed for our stay. The water is good and hot, there is a kitchenette area and even a washer & dryer. So even though you feel very secluded, you have some luxuries. We enjoyed our afternoons in the pool when it was too hot to be in town. And you never know what wildlife you are going to see. On this trip we saw plenty of monkeys, toucans, parrots, coatis, blue morphos, lizards, humming birds, hawks, great curassows (rare) .... it truly is a bird lovers paradise! Nancy is always responsive, and quick to resolve any issues. We only had one with the water one day, but even with her being in FL, it was resolved within a couple hours. We can not wait to come back next year!
