Our stay was peaceful, a great location and a wonderful place to recharge. I was impressed to get proactive contact from Tom about other properties, directions, check in introductions and local places to go. The lodge was well equipped, clean and cosy. The beach was a lovely short walk away. I highly recommend Tom’s lodge for a family friendly, dog friendly stay.

Myself and two friends recently stayed at Bay Tree Cottage for a long birthday weekend and had a lovey break. The location of the cottage is perfect, next to the harbour, in the middle of Staithes, close to local shops and amenities and some great local walks too. Watching the sunrise over the harbour in the morning was fabulous! The cottage was easy to find thanks to Kevin’s clear instructions and information provided, and inside exceeded our expectations. As a host Kevin was very proactive in communicating with us before, during and after our visit. We would recommend Bay Tree Cottage for a relaxing break and are looking forward to returning in the future at some point!

Wow wow wow, what an amazing place to stay. Stunning house, stunning location. The attention to detail was fantastic, Philippa and Andrew were so approachable, friendly and helpful and they helped to make our stay comfortable. The house was spotless and full of everything we needed. Our children are already asking how soon we can come and visit again. The hot tub was ready for our arrival and the view were gorgeous, what a gem of a find. Very much looking forward to returning to Yoredale House, Thankyou for having us!

Had an absolutely lovely stay, everything was comfortable and set up with what you need and all worked perfectly. Its close to many fantastic places to visit. Very peaceful and relaxing would recommended to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation. PS. Hot tub was lovely even in the cold weather.

A great place to stay,in an ideal and convenient location. Thought the key situation would be a bit complicated but because the instructions were so clear, that it was quite simple. The apartment was spotless, the equipment was good and easy to use. Furnishings were very good and comfortable. Beds very comfortable and heating system very easy to use. Everything had a very spacious and welcoming feel to it. We would definitely use this apartment again. We had a very enjoyable experience.

Absolutely fantastic stay! Beautiful shepherds hut in a beautiful location. Lots of lovely birds in the grounds, and even got visited by a small herd of deer. Jay and Callum are brilliant hosts, very responsive and helpful, and have put lots of nice little touches on the accommodation that make all the difference. Will definitely be staying again!

Lovely caravan, clean, has everything you need such as towels, pots pans, tea & coffee etc. Comfortable bed & sofas. Easy lockbox check in. Easy to park & quite close to caravan. Couldn’t work the WiFi but to be fair it was a nice rest from our phones. Heating was good when on however did drop really cold on an evening but blankets etc provided. Shower was lovely & powerful. Lots of storage too for clothes etc. No paths surrounding so do have to get everything from car to caravan over grass and it was raining when we arrived which didn’t help but wasn’t a major thing just something to note that it can get quite muddy. Lovely stay, so close to the beach which we all enjoyed despite soggy weather! The complex itself is nice if you want to do swimming etc but the music does go on until around 11:30pm and can hear it in the van. Overall lovely stay, great weekend. Thank you!

My adult son and I stayed for three nights in Brian’s property . The apartment is immaculate and just as described with high quality fixtures and fittings. Beds, linen and pillows particularly stand out. Plenty to see and do within walking distance, frequent bus service from Whitby to surrounding villages and towns as well as train station within walking distance- if you want a different method of transport. For those driving to Whitby the free parking is a real bonus ( residents permit provided with rental property) . If you get the chance to book this place- take it- highly recommend.

We had a fantastic Easter weekend at this lovely little cottage! Cosy, spotless, and super family-friendly – our toddler and dog felt right at home. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, we had a lovely walk close by. Best of all, it’s just 10/15 minutes drive from York city centre – ideal for exploring but great to come back to after a busy day. A perfect mix of comfort, location, and charm. Highly recommend and we would love to come back soon!
