Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Princeville

Nice location—short distance to the beach and “downtown”. View off the back deck towards the mountains is stunning. We looked at Princeville, decided on Hanalei and definitely made the right choice!

This home is in such a beautiful neighborhood with a golf course and lots of walking trails. And in my favorite area, the north shore. There is a shopping center with a really big grocery store and lots of shops right around the corner, and Hanalei is just a few minutes down the hill. The home is just as described, very well stocked with everything you could need (beach and snorkeling supplies, chairs and umbrellas, kitchenware). The bikes were a little crickety, so maybe don’t plan on riding those! There’s not really an outdoor area, but it’s pretty to look at (plan on some crowing at night from the chickens that roost in the tree). Beds and sofas were super comfortable. The host was super friendly, even when we lost something of theirs. We felt right at home!

This home is so beautiful and relaxing. I would absolutely stay in this peaceful home again with my children, it was very welcoming. We were extremely impressed the moment we arrived about how calming it was to walk through the outdoor and indoor spaces. The adults and children all had their own comfortable spaces. With the many windows we mostly had a cool breeze, and used AC only for a humid couple of days after a storm. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, including spices. Our whole family was able to sit at the table for suppers. We had a few different options for coffee and tea, and cozy chairs and comfy couch to relax in. It was very easy to find this home, and my kids loved the park near by. We spent a lot of time out on the covered patio, even during rain. The beach supplies are wonderful. We didn't use the bikes with our younger children, but one adult went for a few rides and enjoyed it! Laundry and shower facilities had everything we needed. Definitely stay here!

Laura saved us when the first Airbnb we booked for our trip unfortunately had mold. She went above and beyond to let us stay at the last minute, and we had THE absolute best time with friends at her lovely home. I am so grateful our trip could be saved! Our group was two couples, one pregnant, and a small baby and we were so comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, much more than other units I’ve stayed at. Every detail was thought of, from LOTS of extra towels to beach chairs and everything in between. A true luxury. The lanai was a special spot to drink coffee and catch sunrise in the morning and the location is within walking and driving distance of lots of special places. I hope to return again in the future! Don’t miss staying here!

Kauai is a beautiful place and staying in Diana's home made the trip even more enjoyable. Her home is beautiful, well maintained, and just lovely. It was a perfect set up for our family. Every bedroom has it's own bathroom which after a long day at the beach when everyone needed to clean up and wind down was perfect!

This is a beautiful house in a great location. Matt communicated with us right when we booked our stay about a year in advance, a week before we arrived with detailed instructions, the day of, and during our visit. We visited with our adult children, and the home was ideal. The bedrooms are large, and each has a bathroom. The living area was large enough for all of us to gather, but we also had plenty of privacy when we chose that. I cooked a number of meals, and the kitchen was stocked with what I needed. It was an ideal location for our vacation.

Island coffee and fresh pineapple for breakfast, sunrise in the cabana and a run aling the bike path on the first morning and it only got better from there. Thanks Ellen!

Great stay. Beautiful yard. Comfy beds and very well made sheets setup! Kitchen very well equipped and thoughtful blue ice blocks in the freezer, though I would recommend an upgrade on the kitchen trash for one with a lid (and foot pedal). Also, the the master bedroom toilet seat, while newer, could use an upgrade because it was very thin and shifty. Other than these two things, it was a wonderful house and the hosts were great--responsive if I had questions, but not intrusive at all. In fact someone had moved the trash bin curbside before I could get to it, without disturbing us, which was nice. Will definitely return.

Repeaters here. We stayed here 5 years ago and loved the place. Location is super convenient and the most beautiful by far. There is a great supermarket close by and tons of cafes. But the views…the views are the best on the island. The only complaint (although small) is the old stove top that needs an update. Everything else was perfect! We will be back next year!

The location was excellent, just a 2-3 minute drive from Foodland Market. The room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for two people. Our host was incredibly friendly and regularly checked in to ensure everything was going smoothly. The resort itself was beautiful, featuring a pool and hot tub. They also provided wristbands for access to the gym and tennis courts. The only downside was the connecting door to the neighboring room, which wasn’t very soundproof. We could hear the neighbors at times, making it feel a bit less private. Overall, our stay was amazing. we loved our vacation here and would definitely recommend it to friends!

We loved our stay in this quiet neighborhood. It is very walkable to surrounding beaches and the Princeville walking path. Plus, neighbors put out their surplus fruit for us to take home and eat.

The location was amazing, the space was incredibly clean, well-organized, and beautifully bright. Everything was just perfect. This little spot was perfect get away. Quiet and close to everything we needed. Comfy bed. The kitchen was well equipped to make most anything and we were able to buy fresh fish and veg at local farmers market ( which were in the great guest guide). The response of host was amazing. I highly recommend this spot fora perfect Hawaiian get away. Mahalo!

Our stay in the Coco A unit at Fern Grotto Inn was one of the highlights of our Kauai vacation. Why would I state that? Well, for starters, the grounds are amazing. Paul has gardeners that are constantly upkeeping his immaculate gardens. The facilities are top notch and include use of bikes and kayaks as well as all the beach necessities. We used the kayaks and were able to start paddling literally 10 ft from where they are stored. The location is centrally located with a 45-minute drive to the north side of the island and a bit longer drive to the west side. There are plenty of activities in the immediate location but Costco/Walmart, etc are not too far away. The bed was very comfortable affording us a good night's sleep after the day's activities. The A/C works great, but we did not have to put it to use much as there were ample windows to allow good air flow. Some reviews complained about road noise or roosters crowing. We were not bothered by either. Rating it a 10/10

Jonathan was a great host and it was a great location. Would book again if I make it to Kauai.

We had an amazing stay here! We only wished we had more time to enjoy it as we only stayed one night. The amenities were top notch and the view was stunning! Highly recommend!

The place is just as described, very comfortable and has everything you would need. Location is perfect for driving around the island to see sights. Or also good for walking to many shops and restaurants close by. Solomon answered any questions we had very promptly. We loved our stay and would stay again.

Sara was extremely helpful with suggestions for shopping and dining, and quick to respond! The kitchen was well stocked, the games were an added bonus! We enjoyed the Lanais for both dinner and games! The amenities provided helped save us from bringing a lot of toiletries.

My family loved staying here. It really was perfect for us. The only things I didn’t like are beyond Luisa’s control. I didn’t like that it was on the 3rd floor and I didn’t like that it wasn’t on the beach! Ha! Otherwise it was a very clean and beautiful little apartment!

We have stayed at Airbnbs all over the world over the past decade, and Dhivya's place was one of the best Airbnb experiences we have ever had. Her place was spotlessly clean, spacious, and welcoming. Amenities included a well-stocked kitchen, beach gear and towels, and a beautiful community pool and hot tub. The location in Princeville was fantastic, and the condo was so large that our family of 6 was very well accommodated. We had to book the property last minute when another host fell through, and Dhivya was great to work with and so responsive, even on a tight schedule. We would absolutely stay here again with our family and hope to do so in the future. Thank you for a fantastic visit, Dhivya!
