Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Province of Matera

The view! This aspect of our stay made it absolutely worthwhile. We appreciated that the back patio featuring the view was very private, the apartment was walkable to everything, and the price was fair. We required heat for chilly evenings, and the thermostat worked very efficiently to warm the place. A few small notes – the apartment does have two full bathrooms, but the upstairs shower was rather impractical to use, because there was no curtain or glass to contain the water from the shower nozzle. The bathroom tiles were quite stained with several missing. The glassware and extra blankets were of questionable cleanliness, but the bedsheets and everything else appeared to be washed just ahead of our stay. An overall lovely stay!

Teresa was super friendly and easy to talk, no problem to check in , gave us a lot of information about what to do, was very helpful helping us booking a table at a restaurant, would definitely come back!

Stefania’s apartment was a great place to stay in Matera. It was well located with easy access to both Sassi, the large public spaces, shopping and restaurants. Besides the excellent location, the apartment itself was wonderful. The bedroom was spacious and had an ensuite bathroom, tons of storage space and extra blankets. The large living room had a futon for extra sleeping space. The kitchen was very well equipped and maybe the only Airbnb I’ve stayed in with good, sharp knives! The downstairs bathroom is the larger, with a nice-sized shower. In addition, there are two outside spaces with small seating areas, one on the roof giving a great view down the hill and one outside the front door. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay.

Beautiful characteristic apartment. Large rooms and two perfect bathrooms. A little cold and humid despite the heating, but the Sassi di Matera are like that. The kitchen is a little small and poorly equipped. Great experience.

This place is perfect for Matera, it was right at the centre of everything and had everything I needed. The host is lovely and very welcoming, and even gifted cake and oranges on arrival! Would recommend!

A fascinating and beautiful experience, sleeping in Patrizia's Sassi…the place is very lovingly designed and equipped in detail, the bed super and even the fridge was equipped with yogurt and milk 👌many thanks again! Sitting on the steps in front of the house in the evening sun overlooking the Sassi was a great pleasure. And: we slept very well, better than I could have imagined…

a magnificent historic property fully modernized. immediate parking. perfectly centered and walkable everywhere, pharmacy, dentist, city hall and of course the Patisseries and fabulous restaurants. Fabi is a gracious and responsive host. I'll be back for certain.

Very friendly and very helpful owner. Spacious apartment, well equipped, very close to the historic center. Impeccable cleanliness. We had a great time, almost better than our home!! Also with a nice hot jet in the shower that gives real satisfaction :)

Very well located apartment close to the city center without being in the tourist center. we were able to park without problem on the street. we were like at home..with two bathrooms, luxury!

A fantastic view. Quiet. Beautifully decorated. Delicious coffee... I felt so comfortable. From the bed you can see out and have a beautiful view.

We had a great stay in Matera. Mikele and Nicola’s place is easy walking distance to Sassi, and to great restaurants. We’ve stayed in many airbnb and this was, without a doubt, the best equipped when everything you could need, including a plentiful assortment of food, coffee, tea, fruits and drinks. Check in was so easy - Mikele found free parking for us nearby and helped carry our suitcases up to the unit. He was friendly , helpful and proactive with restaurant recommendations. He showed us how to make coffee and provided a helpful tour of the unit. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Emilia's apartment is absolutely as advertised. Very close to the center and the stones, very clean and has everything you need for a short stay. Being so close to the center, it's not always easy to find parking nearby, but once you've parked the car, you can easily do everything on foot. Emilia is a very helpful and accurate host.

Nino was very kind to welcome us and explain everything we needed to visit Matera. The location of the house is great, just steps from the ZTL and with parking. The place is complete with everything and ideal for a family. An extra positive note because it welcomed our little dogs without any problems: highly recommended!

Great place to stay for a day trip to Matera. Just a short walk from great restaurants, shopping and the Sassi. Was perfect for us!

The 1er Grand Cru of airbnb. In Te Reo Maori has a word to describe care and hospitality, being manaakitanga. Pasquale has this with a strong commitment to his craft of hosting. He spent time orienting us with the area and provided a generous selection of local delicacies. An unobtrusive host with a meticulously appointed property. Pasquale's apartment is exactly as it appears in the ad. It's fantastic. It's ideal for visiting Matera without the problems of access to the center and we were very comfortable. It is important to note the information that appears in the apartment description: the kitchen is for preparing breakfast, as it is not equipped for cooking, although that is not a problem thanks to the gastronomic offer of Matera and its surroundings ;-) On the other hand, the underfloor heating is wonderful. Quiet and effective. We recommend the apartment 100% and hope to return in the future.

We only stopped for one night on the way. Definitely an artist's apartment, very special and pleasant, we loved it. If I were to return to the area, I would gladly return.

The apartment is very clean, 15 minutes from the center on foot, a characteristic fruit market in the square, Caterina is very prompt in her answers, good mattresses and pillows. I definitely recommend it.
