Country Cottage With Hot Tub, Walks & Great Pubs!

WendyRating, 5 stars4 months ago
The Old Court House is certainly a home from home, lovely lived-in feel! Warm and cosy with sufficient wood and coal for wood burner and hot tub. Fully equipped and very clean. Beds clean and comfortable with high quality bedding. Lots of lovely walks on doorstep and two pubs serving great food. We had a lovely stay with our family and I would not hesitate to recommend

Hootsman

OliverRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Everything about this venue is lovely. Dog friendly, nice decor inside. 200m walk to a local pub which served great food. The WiFi struggled at times but only a minor issue as there was absolutely no signal on my phone. The only downside to the whole stay is that I was charged £50 to use the hot tub for two nights and I had to heat it myself as it was a natural one. If I was using their electric then fair enough but using extra wood (that I brought just in case) to do it myself, the price felt excessive. Also having spoken to family about some of the places they had stayed the cleaning fee of £50 felt a touch high compared to other properties of similar size. A few minor issues but overall a superb location and would recommend to others.

The Milking Parlour

RachaelRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We had a lovely stay in the milking parlour, check in was easy no messing around the cottage was ready for us when we arrived, the space is much bigger than it looks too. The cottage had everything you needed and a lovely open fire also, we used the shared hot tub every day it was absolutely lovely. The area is very remote which is lovely however for a week with 3 young children without having to drive 30 mins there wasn't lots to do but we were lucky with the weather so for us was brilliant if it was cold and rainy however I'm not sure it would've been the same. Whilst there we visited the roman fort, hadrians wall, walked into the local village, visited talking tarn country park where they had Mini golf and you can hire boats, we went to fairhill recreation ground that was a brilliant park for all ages and the dog loved it too! we also visited rowleys for raspberry picking which the kids even my 21 month old daughter absolutely loved! Loved this little place and will be back

Cosy 1-bedroom cottage with indoor log burner

ShelleyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a brilliant stay at Wrens nest cottage. The location is great for exploring and Marske beach was great for the dog to have a good run. We loved being able to walk into town in the evening for few drinks. Brass monkey was particularly good and twisted peel has some great cocktails. Almost everywhere is dog friendly. The cottage is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. The bed is comfortable and the bed linen is good quality and smelled lovely. The bathroom is gorgeous and the bath is fantastic. We enjoyed lighting the fire in the evening and watching Netflix on the smart tv. The enclosed courtyard is a real bonus if you have a dog.

Sycamore Cottage, Falling Foss waterfalls.

ElliotRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Lovely little cottage, in the ideal location for walking. We walked down to Falling Foss and then into Littlebeck, then headed up past Holly Bush farm where I used to stay and holiday as a child. There are many more walks in the area, and you could walk into Whitby if you desired. The cottage had everything we needed, clean and comfortable. Host recommended a nice dog friendly pub in Sneaton which served a good Sunday dinner. All in all a nice peaceful stay to recover from the hustle and hustle of Christmas. Would recommend to others.

Florence Terrace

NicoleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is my second time at Jess’s place - first time with girlfriends, this time with husband & son. Love the Andy Goldsworthy Hanging Stones installation - my main reason for visiting. The highlight of this trip though was the fire, and keeping the house warm in near freezing conditions - which we achieved magnificently. Hy husband LOVED it. Jess was flexible on check out too, which was greatly appreciated. Thanks - we will be back!

Cheerful & Quaint 18th Century cottage

MariaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely stay at Helen's cosy cottage. It's a lovely old building in a charming village. Helen has furnished the cottage in a comfortable, fun and quirky style which we loved. We slept in the sheep room, but there was no need to count them as the comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep. Whitby and Robin Hood Bay are a short drive away and both are 'must see' attractions. We started each day, however, with a bracing walk on the moors. The village is in a picturesque location.

The Granary, at Millinder House for up to 4

CarolinaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely stay at the Granary. The place was well equipped and the host came to welcome us as soon as we arrived. The area is absolutely gorgeous (you will need a car to get there!), and the EV charging station was great! The fact that the hosts live on site also gives an extra layer of reassurance.

I stayed for four nights over the Christmas period. I found the cottage to be exceptionally clean, very nicely furnished and everything in good working order. Very comfortable and warm, it's a charming cottage. Easy parking outside and a lovely setting. The hosts were very easy to deal with, great instructions and I hugely appreciated the lovely festive decorations and welcome hamper. I would stay here again without hesitation.
