Chalet holiday rentals in River Thames

We stayed at Olya’s beautiful Chalet for a hen party in February 2025. It was wonderful, we all had such a fabulous time and throughly enjoyed it at the chalet. We enjoyed using the hot tub and the whole premises. Olya is a fantastic host, very responsive and happy to help, also was very grateful with the flexibility with check in and out times.

What a wonderful place to stay. The peace I sought was found, the relaxation that was so much needed was there and very much welcomed. Days spent walking in the New Forest were finished with a chilled glass of wine in the hot tub that was tended daily by a really lovely chap. The lodge was spacious, clean and comfortable with the basics of equipment there for your use, which is helpful. The whole experience is one I shall repeat and have already begun to tell others to check it out too

Absolutely loved it , so peaceful, amazing hot tub , welcome food hamper was lovely. (Amazing weather was a bonus) . Kelly messaged us to say that we could check early if we wanted to . The Fighting Cocks pub at the end of the road serves amazing food especially their Sunday roast . It was the perfect short break will be rebooking for another visit ….The drive down the lane can be entertaining if the New Forest ponies are have a stroll about but all good fun 🤣. All in all a fantastic time was had 10/10.

Jane was an excellent host. She was very responsive and very accommodating. We booked very last minute over the Christmas and New Year festive period and she was excellent at responding to my queries. We had an issue at the start of the stay and she resolved it without hesitation and with no delay. I would highly recommend Jane and her boathouse. It is in an excellent location, it is very comfortable, and fully equipped. The only comment I would make is that the internet was very patchy and I had to take a work video call one day and couldn’t connect. But if you are looking to relax and unwind in the beautiful Cotswold countryside then lack of internet is probably a good thing! It was great for enforcing a digital detox for my teenage son! All in all a very memorable and special stay. Highly recommended without hesitation!

This is a super spot. Howard was extremely responsive and helpful. The village is just beautiful and surrounded by the gorgeous Surrey hills. It was just what we needed for a few days of peace. It’s not easy to find but Howard provided the what three words coordinates which brought us straight to the gate. Highly recommend and very good value.

James' cabin is off the beaten path and surrounded by nature. We loved how peaceful it was and how easily we could go on nature walks. The cabin was well fitted out with a good number of heaters and other necessities. The cabin would have been difficult to get to had James not communicated so well and provided us with clear maps and instructions in advance. Would happily stay again.

What a great find for our trip to the New Forest to visit Peppa Pig World at Paulton’s Park. The chalet was lovely for myself and my husband and our twin 4 year olds. Very cosy and quiet. Warm bedrooms with easy adjustment to the temps. The lounge did get chilly overnight but there is a fan heater that warms it up nicely (take slippers if you get cold feet 👍🏼). Ample parking on a private driveway. The drive to Paultons park was 12 mins! Will definitely re book if we visit the area again. Thank you so much Lisa! Xx

Lovely property all you need provided for a very pleasant stay. Although the property is located in the owners rear garden, common for many airbnb's, you have your own private lockable access. Large bath sheets provided and a very comfortable bed for a good nights rest. Milk provided which was very useful as we had forgotten to stop on the journey down. Overall we would not hesitate to recommend this property and of course thank the owners who were extremely friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful week at Cottontail. The lodge was spacious and well set out, a decent-sized kitchen, and a large hut tub, which the kids loved - maybe a bit too much ! Although close to the entrance barrier the location was quiet, and the setting peaceful, next to a tall hedge. The site itself is well-designed, cars travel slowly and there are no real 'rat runs'. There is an on-site shop, small arcade, play ground, pedalo hire, and a nice bar, all set beside a picturesque lake with grebes, little egrets and red-crested pochards (amongst others). There are easily accessible bike rides for the park, and in the wider area. The weather was extraordinary, with crystal blue skies and not a drop of rain; for the first three days we played 'spot the cloud', but none of us did. The local Cotswold villages are picture postcard and not too busy if you go at sensible times. The kids also enjoyed the nearby Sky Walk. I would definitely recommend; it was a really lovely holiday.
