Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Scarborough

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Cottage has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and everything you need is provided. Bed is super comfortable and shower and huge tub are great. It is so peaceful. There was something very special about sitting in the hot tub after a busy day walking watching the sun set and the hares play in the field. All you will hear while you stay is birdsong.

Stayed for 2 nights . The cottage is very clean and very comfy. Local pubs are nice and plenty of takeaways if you don’t want to dine out. Nice log burner that made the cottage feel so homely . Would highly recommend thanks Alison.

Recently had a wonderful short stay at this lovely cottage in Ainthorpe. The location is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area, including Whitby. The cottage was exactly as described, clean, cosy, and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The parking was really convenient too, which made things even easier. It’s an ideal spot for a group getaway, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. I’d happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming countryside escape.

We had a lovely short break. The cottage is located perfectly for visits to the coast and local towns and villages. The courtyard garden was secure for the dog and lovely to sit in the sunshine. The cottage had everything we needed and Adrian was really helpful. Thank you for having us.

As a large family group we had a great stay - just wish it could have been longer. Loads of space for our group of 9 adults and a one year old. The garden is huge and the play area at the bottom was a big hit with our grandson. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay in Alex's gorgeous cottage! Such a great location to walk to the centre of town, as well as feeling very cosy and homely. We'll definitely stay again!

We stayed here the 19th April until the 20th of April 2025, louise was very responsive to the text i sent them. with easy instructions on how to get into the property plus the snug. walking distance to lots of amenities, pubs restaurants, fast food takeaway.. We used Guisborough for a flying visit to Middlesbrough, and we would definitely recommend staying here. Wow, what a great place Olivia has. It's so central, has parking, huge living space and everything you need for a getaway in a gorgeous town. The house was cosy but also had loads of space, the beds were comfy and everything was clean. There's plenty of stuff for young ones too, including high chair, travel cot and cutlery etc. Couldn't have wished for a better stay.

A lovely place with a lot of room, exactly as described in the listing! Everything was clean and the host was very communicative, ensuring that we had checked in ok. Great place for our stay as we were working in the local area.

Fantastic flat in a great location within easy walking distance of Peasholm Park and North Bay. Lots of great touches in this comfortable apartment and plenty of room for 2 x families of 4. Plenty of parking on the doorstep, just use the discs provided. Mark was a great host and so easy to contact. We'll definitely look to use again.

stayed for one night in the apartment for my friends birthday. it's literally across the road from the town centre, which is brilliant. The apartment is completely silent, didn't hear a peep from anything around us which when you're having a child free weekend was great! lovely and warm. the bed was really comfy too! Easy to find and gain access. I had been sent extremely clear instructions from start to finish of our stay! Id 100% stay again, lovely little apartment!

Our stay was perfect. The location is amazing, right in the heart of York and a short walk to York Minster, which we did every day to “check on her”! Eating places and pubs all close by and in the same street too. Just a wonderful experience in this beautiful medieval city. Highly recommend. And on a clear day you can see York Minster through the roof windows which was delightful.

Lovely apartment; exactly as pictured and described. Nice location. Hidden from main streets but very convenient to beaches and other areas. Perfect for a weekend getaway

Great, walkable location with beautiful morning views of the 14th century church across the street. A wonderful experience for kids to stay in a 700 year old house. Louise responded almost immediately to every question and was courteous, helpful and accomodating. The property was freshly cleaned and extremely easy to access.

Great little place for the weekend. Exactly what we needed and only a short walk in to the centre. Would recommend. Easy to find and access.

Location was perfect for what we wanted. But the icing on the cake was the sunshine. We had 2 children with us under 7 so the well stocked playroom was a real bonus!

My family and I (7 adults & 1 child) recently stayed at ‘The Cottage’ and we all agreed that it was a wonderful holiday. The house is beautiful, very spacious, spotlessly clean and was well equipped for all of our needs. The hub is definitely the kitchen, we enjoyed playing family board games around the dining table. The gardens are amazing we loved watching wild rabbits, squirrels and cows everyday. It was nice to see home grown vegetables and a herb garden too. Our grandson enjoyed playing football with his dad in the garden, jumping on the trampoline and feeding the fish. It is ideally located for travelling into York and not far from the designer outlet. Our group ranged in age from 2yrs to 78yrs and there was something for everyone to do at the house. We all really needed a family break due to recent illness and enjoyed spending time together making lovely memories. We hope to be able to stay again and thank both Neil and Adrienne for sharing their beautiful home with us.
