Sanctuary is exactly what the name says: a sanctuary in one of the most beautiful places in South Africa, one of the most beautiful places in the world. I highly recommend Sanctuary as a place to stay when you visit the Garden Route!

The name of the house completely exemplifies its Japanese name. A state of perfection, grace & comfortable elegance . A total joy to be a guest with its ergonomic layout in the extremely well equipped kitchen. The clean litter free beach, clearly well maintained & safe with a Lifeguard Post right on hand. Stephanie was an amazing host, always responsive, helpful and friendly. My kids and I stayed for a month and had a wonderful time. We took a walk to the beach almost everyday. Can definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at the poolhouse! Check in was easy and Tom and his colleagues were always fast to respond if we had questions. There are some restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance and the house is perfectly located near the water. We traveled with two small children and would without hesitation stay at the poolhouse again:)

The location is excellent. It is a 2 minute walk to the shops as well as to the Poortjies Beach. Early morning walk and swim with dogs a must do! House easily accommodated 8 of us and 2 dogs with lots of enclosed space to leave dogs at home while out and about. House is well equipped with everything including 2 fridges. (Only had to bring Nespresso.) Inverter installed but did not need. Comfortable beds and bedding. Fans in every room. Lovely pool and braai area. Lots of separate spaces in house for quiet time. Our host Elizabeth was excellent. Very friendly, well organized and extremely accommodating to any request. The house offers cleaning option if you require. We used once and changed bedding. We had a really relaxing and comfortable stay and would highly recommend this accommodation.

Very spacious, lovely accomodation with a great location.

We had a very pleasant stay at Mandy and Jonathans place. It’s a very safe environment, the kitchen is well equipped, there are a lot of things for children and the beach. Alltogether you feel, that this is a loved spot, not just business. We were four adults travelling with a small child and had a lot of space for chilling.

Overall a super place to stay in a beautiful home. Linda was a superb host who took the time to communicate everything and in a timely manner too! The house is in a stunning location with great amenities and plenty of spaces to sit and relax and admire the views. The weather during our stay was a little unpredictable but the house came into its own as it’s so large everyone can spread out and escape each other if they need too! Thank you Linda!

Wesley was a great host. It was the first time in years that we checked into a self catering place where the kitchen & bathrooms were extremely clean. The location of the property is perfect. It is just ouside the hustle of a December holiday, but still very close (within a 5 min drive) and the views are better than the pictures. Thanks again Wesley for being a great host.

What a stunning location - pictures don’t do justice to the surroundings. Peaceful, close to the attractions and had all the amenities you could need. Highly recommend! Sandro was also a very responsive host.

Seagrass Cottage is the type of place where you can arrive and just.... start living. It's perfectly appointed - furnishings, decor, amenities - everything has been thought out and planned for maximum enjoyment and relaxation in the space. Highlights for us included: integrated indoor/outdoor living spaces; epic outdoor shower in the primary bedroom suite; extremely comfortable and inviting living areas and furniture; fully equipped kitchen; outdoor wood or gas brai; relaxing and private outdoor pool area; chairs/cooler/umbrella for beach use.... I could go on. Every sleeping area was welcoming in decor and furnishings. The open plan living space was the perfect mix of comfortable, modern, light, and stunning. This is a space you can live in, luxurious without being pretentious. And Claire is a fantastic host. She was super communicative early-on, and gave some great recommendations for Plett activities and other info. She's a delight and really cares about the guests.

We had an incredibly relaxing stay at Susan's home. The view is gorgeous and the house had every comfort and amenity we wanted. The heated pool and steam shower were a big plus. Susan is a fantastic host, very friendly and responsive. The estate is lovely and peaceful to walk through. Robberg Nature Reserve is very close and it is a great hike. Hope to be back soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It's spacious and has a lot of open spaces. In particular the living room/ kitchen is fantastic with the two big sliding doors to the pool on the one hand side and the terrace on the other. You have a nice view down into the valley and it's only about one kilometer to the center. We were a family with 2 young kids and everyone loved this apartment!

The studio cottage was very modern, the bed was of high quality. Everything we needed was in the cottage. We had a great time. Tanya suprised us with beautiful Valentine cupcakes. "Above expectations" Thank you Tanya!!

A beautiful place to stay, we would have preferred to move in right away

This is the most amazing place we have ever stayed at! Beautifully crafted wooden cabin at the edge of Knysna Forest with absolutely everything one needs for a truly memorable stay. You feel completely disconnected from the hustle and bustle yet it’s so close to everything! Waking up to endless mountain and forest views, abundant wildlife and spectacular sunset is priceless. The cabin is well equipped with all the amenities one needs for a fantastic time, it’s clean, it’s spacious, it’s comfortable, And-it’s pet friendly! Can’t wait to visit again 💙

Lovely spacious living area and bedroom . Tastefully furnished, and a very good information booklet. The drive was a bit tricky but that was because our hire car was under powered . Would happily book again .

It was a lovely stay at Aneryne's cottage. We loved the view from the terrace, the vibrant wildlife around us and really enjoyed all the amenities this little gem had to offer. Aneryne and her little darlings were wonderful hosts - super friendly, fun and very helpful with tips about the area. We will definitely come back if we are in the Knysna area again and would highly recommend a stay.
