Waterfront holiday rentals in South Kona

Great remodeled condo with a lot of new touches and comfortable beds . It was perfect for our girls trip . We had a great time . Joe and Cindy are very responsive and friendly

Great place to stay and it has everything you need from cooking to beach day Very responsive host and very helpful 15 min -20 min ( because of traffic with local speed limit 15 miles/ hour) about to get to main grocery store like Costco Walmart etc But nicely located in middle of major attractions

We chose Chris's place for the gorgeous view and nearness to the ocean. We were not disaeppointed; we spent all the time we were there, except for sleeping and showering, on the lanai, looking out on the ocean. We fell easily asleep to the sound of the waves. The sea breeze and the fans were sufficient to cool the apartment. When it was time for us to leave for the airport, we packed our car and gave ourselves some extra time to just sit on the lanai one last time, loving the view. I don't think I will ever forget it. We were impressed by the well-stocked kitchen and most appreciative. Beyond salt, pepper, and evo, there were spices and condiments, rice (and a rice cooker!) and soy sauce, and even some cocktail makings. The pots and pans and knives were excellent. It was no struggle at all to prepare meals and clean up with the help of a full-size dishwasher. An initial stop at a 24-hr safeway and one more trip were all we needed, plus a trip to an amazing fishmonger.

Close to town, beautiful view of the ocean & crashing surf right out the living room window, and great hosts! Note, the unit (even in January) got a little warm in the afternoon but they have fans and AC, which we didn’t run, so don’t imagine there’s a problem. Great spot, would definitely return!

What a great place to stay! We also discovered the condo also has a couple of boogie boards and beach chairs as well as a small cooler - that was a great find. It should also be noted that the association is focused on being quiet and peaceful - no music and limited phone use on the Lanai's and public spaces - that was also really nice as you could focus on the waves and beautiful views. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME

This was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever had! The place was great- recently renovated and we loved relaxing on the balcony. And the host provided a bunch of nice to have items in case we forgot them, which was such a thoughtful touch. Would definitely come back here!

Jordan and Mandi's place was perfect for our stay in Kona. The location was quiet, yet within walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. The view from the balcony was wonderful - we could sit out and watch the whales. The kitchen was well stocked and the condo was clean. The hall bathroom could use a little upgrade, but it was clean and functional. Communication was great from start to finish. I would recommend a stay.

One of the most beautiful lanai we have been seen in Hawaii. I admire Mark and his family for keeping this place beautiful and tidy as it requires countless efforts.

This place is incredible for staying on the Island. Panoramic view of the ocean. Lots of space and furniture outside to enjoy the entire day on location. The grounds are amazing with something new to see or explore each day. From hammocks surrounding the deck to fire pit sitting area to relax in day and night. The host's manual has complete instructions to make the stay as comfortable as if you were living there. We went to 5 different locations as suggested in the book, so glad we did. There are plenty of bikes and outdoor gear available to use too. Private, but friendly neighborhood allows for walking, biking, and exploring at any time during the day. The stars are beautiful at night and wonderful sunrises in the morning.

The place was amazing. Exactly as shown and can easily be used by two couples with full amenities on both floors. The secluded area, ambiance and just leaving the patio doors open with the constant sounds of the ocean is just awesome. And within easy driving of volcanoes national park, black sand beaches, waterfalls, great local food, etc, just great. Very much worth what we paid and then some. And the host is unbelievably available if you run into any issues or concerns. We accidentally left a wallet behind and they went above and beyond to get it sent back to us. Cannot recommend more highly!

The place comes with everything you need, and the location is great if you want to make a stop from Kona to volcano. it's also close to green beach and south point. Overall we had a nice stay here.

The Pagoda House is a destination in itself! We explored the island from there, but also spent time just hanging out in the garden and pool. GORGEOUS! It was well appointed for our extended family gathering.

Theresa and Justin's Mana House was perfect for us. They greeted us upon arrival, made us feel welcomed and at home. The location is perfect for south Puna and we enjoyed every minute of the screened in lanai. Can't wait to come back and stay again.

Iliahi gave us instructions and recommendations, also prepared the place well before our arrival. They were friendly and helpful. The place was exactly like what was shown on the site. It is right in front of the ocean. We enjoyed the stunning ocean view right from the balcony. Thanks, Iliahi!

We had a wonderful stay at the Condo- The space was updated and ideal for the 2 of us. Comfortable furnishings, bed, and AC. The Lanai is right on the ocean facing west, amazing sunsets, waves and the rocks that tumble into the ocean are full of beautiful yellow tang fish. We even saw a full whale breach! Wendy provides all you need, Snorkle gear, boogie boards (great boogie board beach next door), lawn chairs, cooler and clubs for golfing. Kitchen is well stocked even with food containers and baggies, etc. no need to buy coffee filters, it’s a basket. She even starts you off with some Carmel roasted coffee if you’d like. The pool is lovely, there are grills for you to use. You can walk right into town with all the restaurants and shops. Wendy will give you ideas for where to Snorkle, eat, and tours. She’s extremely responsive and a delight! It was our 1st time on the Big Island and we hope to return!

...to plagiarize a comment I saw stated in another review: stop looking and book this place! This is the one! A+++ If you have found this option based on the criteria you think you need, there is likely no better place. The location is ideal. The view of the ocean & pool is incredible--the mesmerizing surf and scenery cannot be matched. A special note: This home provides three of the most comfortable beds that might exist within the Hawaiian Islands. Also--the front foyer is chock full of everything you need for beach fun... EVERYTHING...which was so helpful and reduced expense significantly. The efforts made by the host are very notable and appreciated. (I dig air conditioning--this place has it and it works wonderfully.) We hope to return to the Big Island and if we do this will be the first place we consider to stay again. This condo is close enough to anything and far enough away from everything--it will suit anyone...and really is a perfect vacation home. Mahalo!🤙😎

This property is conveniently located within walking distance of many excellent restaurants and shops. We enjoyed walking through the town each night and dined in some of the best restaurants that we found on the island. The first night there we walked a couple of blocks to Huggo’s and had the best meal of the entire trip. We stopped in early and were able to get a table overlooking the crashing surf. The food and ambiance were amazing.

This place was perfect to stay at while we were there for my son’s tahitian competition. it had everything we needed while we were there. The only minor minor thing that was not mentioned was that there are 2 steps after you get off the elevator in order to access the front door, so if you have a stroller or wheelchair you do need to keep that in mind. but other than that stay was awesome!

Terry has done it again! This was our second year staying at Terry’s well equipped and beautiful condo. Again we enjoyed daily whale watching right on the beach as well as sea turtles feeding on the shoreline. You will be in need of nothing at Terry’s hideaway as he has truly thought of every guests’ needs. In fact Terry reached out to us prior to our arrival offering to pick up anything we needed as we had a late flight. Our flight going home didn’t leave until late at night and Terry allowed us to check out late as well! Mahalo again Terry. Stay blessed 🌺😌

We had a great stay here. Absolutely beautiful view from the unit over the ocean with gorgeous sunsets. Easy, short drive to Kona for restaurants and other shopping needs. Well equipped kitchen and easy parking. Only minor issue was there were no shades to block the late afternoon sun in the unit. We'd happily stay here again.

Booked a last minute trip to Big Islans and Jenna was very accommodating to allow early check in and let us use the beach chairs and towels. The home is charming and cozy as described. It’s a convenient drive into town. Make sure to take a walk to the back to see the ocean views!

The condo and its location are fabulous!! There is so much to do in Kona but just sitting on the balcony and enjoying the beautiful ocean view will be some of my favorite memories!
