'The Wheelhouse' with a nautical theme

HoneyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Having stayed at The Wheelhouse about 4 years ago we knew what to expect, and we were not disappointed. John was extremely helpful prior to, and during our stay. The accommodation is exactly as described and while the sleeping accommodation on the deck is not for everyone, John has obviously taken great care to accurately describe it in the listing, and it is perfect for our family- as it would be for many other families or couples. The location is fantastic- you can hear the sea! It’s so close to the pier with amusement arcade and to the beach with only a short walk up into town with many shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. John had kindly left us milk in the fridge and some biscuits. There is a combination microwave/ oven/ grill and also a hob so we could easily make breakfast and other meals. When we return to Southwold later this year we will definitely check the availability of the Wheelhouse! Thank you John, for a wonderful derail stay over the new year period!

Perfectly located seaside house

AdiRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Our stay at Penny's house was fabulous ! A fantastic situation, so handy for the perfect holiday with the sea and beach right in front of the house , a 5 minute walk to the Pier ( visible from the house) and a one minute walk the other way to the buzzing High Street and pubs. We could park right outside the front door too which was a bonus. Amazing views from the bedrooms/ landing. A standout moment was watching the sunrise over the sea from the bed with a cup of tea! The kitchen was very well equipped to cook from scratch if you want to. Great dog walks on Southwold Common too. I thoroughly recommend staying here and would love to return in the Summer ( need to book early!).

Two bedroom cottage close to beach

CathyRating, 5 stars1 day ago
A beautifully furnished cottage in the older and quieter part of town in Caister, within easy reach of supermarkets, the beach and places to eat. It was perfect for two of us using it as a base to vist my family and old haunts from years ago. The cottage has everything you need for a stay, even including info leaflets about local activities. It has a good amount of space for eating and relaxing for three people. Having really enjoyed our stay we highly recommend it and hope to come again.

The Beach House, Suffolk Coast

DawnRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonder few days away at Lynda’s lovely home. It was exactly as described and Lynda was an excellent and responsive host. The Beach House was warm and cosy with a fantastic Pub over the road as well as a great pub and restaurant on site. Our children loved the pool right on the doorstep and all the space around to run and play. This was a really great get away and home from home. Thank you Lynda ❤️

Great little place, can see the sea from the window 🙂 Everything was as described. It was cold in the evening but it’s November so to be expected. Had to hold lever down manually on toaster 🤪 otherwise everything was fabulous. Thanks for having us!

East Coast Chalets Bee’s Knees @ California Sands

SarahRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Perfect little find, booked last minute, Sarah was extremely easy to contact and communicate with. On-site entertainment in the club house. Fish and chips on site, little grocery store selling everyday essentials, kebab, pool. Walking distance to a very long stretch of golden sand. Close to Great Yarmouth. Be advised electric meter takes £1 coins but for 2 adults and 2 teenagers, using chargers, water heater, kettle, and fridge, £4 for two days! Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Beautiful 6 Berth Static on Kessingland Beach

MichelleRating, 5 stars4 months ago
In a few words 'WOW'!! We had the most wonderful time! I have visited the park several times before and this was the first trip booking by Terry. The caravan is absolutely gorgeous! The photos shown are exactly like the caravan, plus additional extras, it is personalised with a variety of things. The qualities of the bathroom and the bed linens are an extra bonus! Terry was really helpful with a question I had a the response time was very quick! My recommendation for staying with Terry is a 100% yes! My parents are already planning their return trip for next year! Don't hesitate - BOOK IT!!!

The Haven

AngelaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Thank you so much for the perfect stay Iain. This was an absolutely lovely house. It was the perfect idyllic retreat for beach lovers. We could hear the waves from the house which was just wonderful. The house is very spacious ( bigger than it seems in the photos ) and extremely comfortable. It was so cosy and homely. Whoever does the cleaning does an excellent job, everywhere was spotless. The garden is a great size for a family and the outside shower is a welcome addition. Sea Palling is a small coastal village but has an excellent cafe , fish and chip shop with restaurant and a good pub. Plus a convenience store for bits and pieces. There is also a small arcade for the children. The beach is beautiful and the people are so friendly. Iain was the perfect host, friendly, helpful and great with communication. I would recommend this home to anyone. We didn’t want to leave.

Rustic Coastal Cottage-2mins to sea, vintage decor

DanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Cute little cottage that had everything we needed and was easily walkable to the beach. We went in February, which was super cold but pleasant, so I’m sure the area comes to life in the warmer months (but that’s not why we went). Sinead was on call if we had needed her, and she was proactive in checking everything was ok (which it was). Overall a great few days away.

Beautiful Suffolk Seaside Home, amazing sea views

TracieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Beautiful spacious house; the decor is tasteful & contemporary. Lots of room for the children to run around and play, lots of games/toys for them & a piano. Space in the living room for our Christmas tree. A very well equipped kitchen, which was appreciated on Christmas Day. It was chilly upstairs at night because we couldn’t work out the heating but that’s probably us being dim. Beds are very comfy. The communal areas were cosy but there was lots of room for everyone. Lots of stairs; the basement level stairs, especially, were steep and tricky so this wouldn’t be great for people with mobility issues. Easy parking. The cleaning charge seems like a lot but it’s a massive house. We spent Christmas there and there’s no way we’d have been able to pack and be out by 10am the day after Boxing Day and leave it as clean as I usually like to. And it was pristine when we arrived. With dog walks on the beach as well, this was perfect for a big family Christmas. Great house, great host.
