Family-friendly holiday rentals in St Andrews

A very cosy, comfortable cottage with well considered, stylish touches that made it a thoroughly delightful place to stay. The beds were very comfortable, with thick toppers, plentiful pillows and luxurious bedding. There was plenty of hot water, and a good shower. Susan was welcoming and proactively helpful - both in providing additional cookware for a particular recipe I wanted to make, and in sourcing a new firestick for the TV so we could access Netflix. All in all, a lovely and peaceful haven for our mini-break in Scotland.

Just home from a few days at The Firze and we had a fantastic, chilled out time as a family of 7 with 2 dogs. House is beautiful, spacious, clean, super comfy beds and well kitted out, a home from home. The surroundings are so peaceful with gorgeous views from the garden which we also enjoyed while sitting relaxing in the hot tub which was a huge hit with our 3 teens! Lovely walk nearby with the dogs and 3 of us took a tour around the local distillery which was really good. Would highly recommend and would def book again. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had an absolutely lovely time at Ali's place. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Hot tub and garnden really make the place with stunning views. Easy access to Edinburgh by train and car and also the Fife coastal path. We loved it! would be very happy to return again one day. Ali was the perfect host.

This Airbnb exceeded our expectations—the pictures don’t do it justice. The property is stunning, with breathtaking views in every direction. Rhona was exceptional, providing thoughtful touches and attention to detail that truly made our stay feel five-star. We rented Ladywell Lodge with the Doocot for a large family holiday. Though the cottage is up in the hills, it was very quick to get to major routes. The lodge was perfect for the two couples who stayed there. It is tucked away in its own large outdoor space with woods and hill walks just moments away. It was comfortable and clean with everything as described. The kitchen was well laid out and the sitting room really cosy. The hosts were great too - Sandra is really responsive and we found the flexible check in really good. It was perfect for our family and being able to pair renting this with the Doocot meant we had a brilliant space for lots of people to stay. My husband and I would love to go back and would happily rent the lodge again as it was so comfortable in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay in this spacious, beautifully situated home in Pittenweem. Open plan living and lots of beds / bathrooms is perfect for a family group. Gorgeous sea views from the deck. You can walk into the village in two minutes for the morning bakery run and many longer walks are easily accessible nearby. Very clear communication from the host and easy check-in process.

The Ashtree Cottage was a special place for my family to stay for a week. It felt like we took a step back in time but with the luxury's of today. Maggie was a gracious host that was always available for any questions we had, recommendations of places to go, and very accommodating. The cottage is in a small town but central to so many places like St Andrews, Edinburgh, Perth, and more. If we ever come back to Scotland we will be staying here again.

This is our 4th visit to Wemyss as it it is ideal for our requirements of visiting family in the area. The cottage and amenities are perfect for us an our black labrador. The host on site, Paulina is really friendly and helpful on arrival and during our stay. We will be back.

Ellen had great communication and made sure that everything was in place for our trip as we were catering a Christmas dinner cooked by chef. The ample furniture was such a bonus and it was very comfortable. The location is stunning so much so that whilst on my stay there I decided to put in an offer on a property around the corner to live out my retirement there!!!!! Kathy's place is lovely and the homemade bread, eggs from their chickens and other goodies were a fabulous welcome. It's warm, inviting and really comfortable. The pictures in the listing don't do the place justice.

We had an enjoyable weekend break in the Lookout at Pitmilly. Excellent standard of accommodation and facilities and a wonderful setting, convenient for exploring the Fife coast. Would highly recommend.

We had a perfectly peaceful stay at beautiful Fingask. Very well equipped, comfortable and spacious; milk, shortbread, tea/coffee provided on arrival. We took day trips out and explored the grounds. Fingask was exactly what we were looking for for our short break - and the sun was shining too!
