Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Stair of the Turks

My husband and I only stayed for one night but wish we could have stayed longer. Walter’s place is clean , relaxing , it has everything we needed. He also recommended some great restaurants and businesses in the area. He was welcoming and very responsive. Thank you Walter! We truly enjoyed our short stay.

We had a very nice and welcoming stay at Calogera’s place. She was always available to help us and even gave us a ride from and to the bus stop. She gave very good recommendations to explore the neighbourhood. We want to come back one day!

We spent 2 weeks at Chiara's house in late winter (couple with dogs). Chiara was always very responsive, and we were met by a guide to help us find the house at 9:30pm which we much appreciated. The house was very comfortable, generous and cosy and perfect to rest. Smartly designed place. We loved the view, the quiet of the surroundings, to be able to walk to the most stunning beaches, and the gorgeous hinterland including the Torre Salsa reserve. Montallegro has its own charme, there is much to see in the vicinity, but really there was no need for us to go anywhere as the house, view and ocean was so wonderful. We hope to be back!

The apartment is modern, clean, well provisioned and sparkling clean. The beds were super comfy. The picture window and terrace provide sea views. The Valley of the Temples is minutes away. Concettina and Erica were lovely and provided us with a great restaurant recommendation, fresh lemons and a guidebook. We could not have asked for anything more.

Perfect location to visit the temple site. 10 min drive. Placed outside the city in a beautiful garden planted with orange and olive trees. Very beautiful terrace overlooking a large shared pool. The rental had all the necessary equipment, layout that optimizes the space. Perfect!

Giusi's home is identical to the listing description. We appreciated the cleanliness and order of the house and the very thoughtful decor. We thank Giusi for his cordiality and hospitality.

Very beautiful place. With amazing view on the sea. Hosts were very friendly and replied very fast. Would definitely come back!

If there were 6 stars I would give them. Everything was great from the pre check in communication, directions, check in itself, cleanliness, smart TV to the comfort of the bed. Giada was at every moment friendly and accommodating and there were little extras in the appartment such as water, milk, oil, coffee, pastries for breakfast. We didn't have much luggage so we parked a few minutes away as the historic city center where the flat is located has very narrow streets and not many parking spaces. Very close to a few little shops and restaurants and the kitchen has everything for preparing food if you feel like staying in. As christmas is nearing there were a few extra touches with some cute decorations but nothing too corny. There is very little natural daylight (and no views which some people might find sad) but that might come in handy in the hot summer. Easy driving distance to the coastline and valley of the temples. We were just sad we couldn't stay longer.

We had a great time at Dario's place. He welcomed us very warmly, even helped us carry the suitcases. A homemade cake prepared by Dario's mom and cold drinks were waiting for us. He gave us some great tips for places in the area and was very responsive in answering our questions. The garden with its pool is very pleasant, quiet, well maintained and beautiful. The kids had a great time here. Perfectly located for visiting the Valley of Temples and Scala dei Turchi. We recommend it!!

Vincenzo and Marinella have made for a very good stay at this accommodation. They respond quickly to questions and are flexible. Nice surprise was the bottles of wine and the Sicilian fruit. The rooms are spacious and tidy. Fully equipped. In the photos, you get the idea that it is a detached home, but the rooftop is shared with another home where a family lives. The neighbor's dog likes to come by to sniff, we didn't mind.

Laura's place is more beautiful than the pictures. We felt like we rented an entire villa on top of the hill. We could see the ocean from our room. We wished that it was warm enough to swim in the beautiful pool and enjoy this place more. The location was convenient to all attractions in the Agrigento area. Her restaurant recommendations were perfect. We had some great meals. We took our breakfast to our room but you can eat breakfast on the terrace and enjoy the wonderful views. I hope to be able to come back soon and spend more than just a few days in this beautiful and serene part of Sicily. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us and being so accommodating.

Very beautiful garden, just 10 minutes to the ocean. we had 6 very beautiful days there.

We had an incredible stay at Adrianos place. The villa is beautifully situated in the hillside close to the Beach and the small town Montallegro. It’s recommended to have a car at your disposal, otherwise you’ll have to walk a lot! We cooked a lot and never missed a thing - great kitchen! One hint: the villa is split into two apartments so you are not completely alone. Both apartments have their own outdoor area thought so you never really see each other (if not desired). Overall highly recommend this place if you are looking for a calm and private place to retreat.

Giuseppe and his wife were friendly and very kind. Impeccable cleanliness. The accommodation matches the description and photos: the kitchen is super equipped, the veranda is the top, the climate is ideal for August and we were in peace and quiet . Being a country house, the street is a little narrow and dirt. In the evening if you are too tired, the veranda is a real treat and if you are in the morning, the morning after the coffee... a book and wait for the whole family to wake up. Giuseppe has a garden and left me some delicious tomatoes. The place is well connected to the neighboring villages and the beach of Bovo Marina is beautiful... there is free parking just behind the paid one (Giuseppe's tip) there is a beautiful pine forest and free beach and beaches I recommend Hakuna Matata (tt new, they are very kind and super organized). Quiet house 10 min from agrigente with a very nice view of the surrounding countryside. We were very well hosted by Francesca, always available, flexible and friendly. Quite old but offering everything we needed. 2 shaded parking spaces. Easy access (car required). We recommend it.

We stayed 2 nights in this gorgeous, rustic villa. It was perfect for visiting the Valley of the Temples. The bus goes from a stop at the end of the short lane. Short walk into town to cafes and grocery stores, up a bit of a hill but it’s not too strenuous an incline. The villa is on an orchard and is super quiet and peaceful. There is a beautiful dog called William who is gentle and welcoming and a few chickens too. The house inside is quite large with plenty of beds. My husband and son are both around 6 foot tall though, and found the double beds a little short for them. If you sleep on the diagonal it’s fine. The beds were comfortable and nice and wide. Internet is unreliable. The kitchen has most things that you would need although, be aware that the water is not drinkable from the tap so you need to buy bottles. Hot water worked well but short showers only as it runs out. Heats up quickly. Lovely terrace outside to sip wine in the sun. Great views. Highly recommended overall.

Sandro and Fabio were amazing hosts, extremely friendly and welcoming. We showed up early, so they offered coffee and Cannoli while we were waiting for the apartment to be prepared. The apartment is cosy, everything is new and super clean. We even found milk, orange juice and water in the fridge. Highly recommended.

Such an amazing please. Even better as the pictures, huge garden which we our kid of two and dog enjoyed. Fresh citrus fruits that you can pick from the trees. Lovely sand beach that we enjoyed even during winter. Giovanni is a very nice guy, great tips in the area and booked us a great restaurant for new years day. Lovely stay!! We will be back :)

My family and I were lucky enough to do a week at Gianni's place. House in a village of houses all the same in a nice location both to walk to a beautiful beach (renella) and to go in the evening to ski! From the pleasant terrace, a beautiful view of the sea! Gianni and his wife are very consistent and kind people. Clean and pleasant house!! I'd be right back!

We had a great stay at Concetta’s house. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, there is a large fridge and good laundry facilities which are all things we appreciate on holiday but don’t always find. The house is located about a 5 minute walk from the beach so it’s location for a beach holiday is excellent. Response to any questions or requests was very prompt. We did not meet Concetta but her husband and father were very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely recommend this house. Thank you for a good stay
