Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Tromsø Municipality

Our stay in Tromsø by the fjord was amazing! The house exceeded our expectations—it looked even better in person than in the pictures. The host was very responsive and helpful, making our experience even more enjoyable. The only minor downside was the steep stairs, but overall, everything was fantastic. Highly recommended!

A beautiful and spotlessly clean apartment, just as described. The parking space was perfect for us as we had a hire car and parking is not easy in Tromso. Alternatively the bus stop is less than a minute down the road. There is a small supermarket within a short walk which had everything we needed for our week-long break. The apartment was warm, cozy and in a quiet area, which was great after a day exploring in winter. Monika was friendly and responsive when we had a question about the amenities in the apartment. I would thoroughly recommend this host and apartment. We had a wonderful break here.

This place is every bit as you see in the pics or read in the reviews - and Kristian was amazing!! We have three little boys and he made sure we had everything we needed (from high-chairs to port-a-cribs to sleds), I felt like we were at home away from home (but with a muchhhhhhh better view 😉) It’s a very close walk to downtown, but there is a steep hill. You can always take the bus if it’s too much for you. For those with strollers: it can be a tough walk in the winter with all the snow. Kristian also proactively provided recommendations for dinner, coffee, etc. which was really helpful. He was also very responsive when we had any questions. For those not native to Europe, a reminder that most grocery stores are closed on Sundays. There are three you can find that have limited selection and hours on a Sunday. To anyone reading this: have an amazing trip and don’t forget to try the Norwegian waffles

We spent 9 days in this house and felt very comfortable. The house is located approximately 30 min from Tromso city center by car with view to the water or fjords. The wooden interior makes it cozy and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need so you can enjoy your stay even if the weather is rainy. Jon-Ola welcomed us warm and explained everything we needed to know about the house. He and his son Henrik (during our stay he lived in the apartment under the house so we saw him almost every day) kindly helped us out with great advise about the area during our whole stay. From my air bnb experience, these two have been the greatest hosts so far, extremely warmhearted and open people that make you feel home. We weren’t so lucky with the weather but still had the chance to see northern lights from our balcony one day. There are also some hiking routes in the area that you can get to by car/ bus. We would definitely recommend a stay there :)

Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. Easy access to Tromsø city via bus or taxi. We often used the bus into the city which stopped just outside the house. They were reasonably priced and regular. Thomas was an excellent host who responded quickly to any questions/queries. We had a group of 7 and the house was more than spacious enough for our family. We stayed over the new year period and could see the northern lights and the fireworks from the balcony of the house. The house over looks the fjords and the city and has breathtaking views. All in all an amazing house, host and city. Would highly recommend this 👍

This has to be one of the best accommodations I've ever been. You'll need a car because it takes more than a hour from Tromsø. But out of the crowds it is very very peaceful and quite. Pack your foods, stay for some while with no plans. That's everything you need.

What a beautiful, serene place to spend a few days. We had one night with full blown Northern lights across the entire ski, even while the activity was relatively low. Lucky catch :)

We would fully recommend this place. Tone (Roger's sister) couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful when we arrived. She also kindly went out of her way to lend us some sledges and equipment for outings. The accommodation is just stunning, and extremely well equipped (we particularly liked the coffee machine!). Beautiful views all round and we saw the northern lights from the hot tub. There's also a walk around the coast line right by the apartment where you can see them even more clearly. Usually I don't sleep well in a bed that's not my own, but we found the beds to be extremely comfortable. Also, plenty of spare blankets if needed. The hot tub and sauna were great for us and also if you're a fan of cold water dipping, you can go for a dip from the steps by the decking. The local supermarket is not even a 5 minute walk away, and walking to town was fine for us even in the snow, took around 25 mins. Hopefully we'll be back to see the summer.

The home was gorgeous and super close to public transport. There is a local pizza place, Allegro that’s within walking distance and it’s wonderful. You’re right around the corner from the Cathedral and quick walk across the bridge to the city center.

Susanne is a great hostess. She is very friendly and very easy to communicate with. She gave us a warm welcome and spent some time showing and explaining things to do and how to get around things in Tromsø. She also offered us some homemade delicious brownies. The view from the apartment window is very pretty. A couple of supermarkets are nearby, easy access to the city center by bus and also Taxi. The apartment is super clean and apt for a couple or a small family. Definitely would recommend Susanne's place. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for us and we would love to go back here in the future.

Lovely, clean apartment with everything you need. The beds were super comfy. The location is in a new residential area with the Kiwi supermarket and bus stop in to town about 10 mins walk. We caught a taxi from the airport for convenience and it’s was £16. Behind the apartment is a fantastic trail walking area with amazing views of the opposite town and mountains. Karoline was a fab host, really responsive to my questions.

We stayed for three days, which was pleasant, spacious, great view and location. Also, the place had all the amenities that we needed.

We had a great stay (family of 5- with 3 teenagers). The location is spot on if you want to be away from the city, though not very far. The view towards the city is spectacular, bus stop 1 min walk, takes you straight to the centre in 15 min. Supermarket again 2 min walk, very convenient.

this is my second time staying with Ørjan and it was as good as the first time, with improvements even😉. I would recommend this place for the exceptional view, away from light pollution, in nature. The place is great, clean, functional. Ørjan is responsive. still easy to get to the city center in 15 min by bus that is right in front of the accommodation. In my opinion, it's definitely worth staying there. And the Northern Lights show was still at the rendezvous 😍

We had an amazing time in Vengsøy! The cabin, the view, and the island were like something out of a Norwegian winter fairy tale. Maria is incredibly friendly and offered us many great tips about the area. She's very warm and welcoming. We did the hike to Hundbergtinden, and it was absolutely breathtaking – we were the only ones there! Vengsøy, the cabins, and especially Maria are highly recommended. We hope to return soon! ❄️❤️

Perfect cottage for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Located directly on the lake and without a direct neighbor, you can enjoy time with sauna sessions and fireplace evenings. In our case also with wonderful aurora lights on the terrace, overlooking the lake. Bjørn Erik is very accommodating, he has always been available and took care of our well-being. We will be happy to come back!

This was easily our favourite air bnb and we have used the plaform for all our trips for the past several years. It is beautiful. Homely, cozy, quirky, personal and extremely welcoming. The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive and if we come again I wouldn't think of booking anywhere else Hot tub is also a huge bonus - an interesting experience in sub zero temperatures.

Wonderful cabin on the Fjord! Perfect size. Comfy beds. Cutest place to get snowed in! Wonderful fireplace with plenty of wood. Everything was perfect. Nann is the ultimate host! Even had a few toys for the kids to play with.

The house was just gorgeous. We used the sauna every day and when the wood became scarce, Yngve helped us a super nice way to find some. He was easily accessible at all times and very nice. The view from the large windows was breathtaking. Nature is a spectacle. The location is super great for nature lovers. We loved it and would come back immediately in the summer. What is also to say - the Better are super comfortable, we slept great and were able to relax well. Experience everything from northern lights to orcas to husky rides and snowshoe tours. We felt very comfortable.

Thanks for yet another excellent stay. Our second time in this hut! Thus, absolutely recommended. The hut has all you need. We especially loved the fireplace, the view and the sauna. Owner is great to communicate with.

What a heavenly little cabin nestled in the woods! The perfect spot to spend five snowy nights! Yes, the cabin is cozy, the views are beautiful, the location is great. But the hosts - Eva & Inge - are what truly make this location special (and the fire oven, which I was obsessed with)! I would recommend this place without hesitation. And will most definitely be spending time there again myself!
