Always lovely to stay at The Old Library! Debbie is a lovely, helpful host. The super duvet and blankets were also appreciated in this cold weather!

I visited Newcastle and surroundings, travelling by myself from mainland Europe. The apartment is clean and spacious and I loved that it's minimal yet cosy and light. If you're a bit more sensitive: the bedroom is situated on the side of a busier road. If you keep the bedroom window closed, there's no noise. I opened the window at night and used ear plugs - worked fine. At 5 minutes walking distance from metro and small shops. A 20 minute walk to a wonderful beach. Tomara was very friendly ad prompt in her communication and thinks along if you have a question. Recommend staying there!

Absolutely amazing, peaceful home. Away from all the hustle and bustle of the city, located near local shops and restaurants. Definitely my Northumberland home. Jen is absolutely lovely and loved every detail to make us feel at home

Lovely apartment in the center on Newcastle. great for train links and shopping! Had a little issue with getting into the apartment but it was airb not showing me the details and just saying error at the time... nice was great tho and messaged me back straight away and guided me in! Apartment was very quiet, had everything i needed and more.spotlessly clean also! Little extras you may need such as condiments and soaps wct! Will definitely stay again! thank you Nick

We stayed over Christmas ‘24 and had a fantastic visit. The Xmas decorations added a festive touch. The flat kitchen is well appointed allowing us to cook at home, it is also close to great restaurants and pubs for eating out. Walking along the Tyne helps clear the head after celebrations! The large sitting room had plenty of space for our 3-generation family gathering - we had a super stay

Second stay here. Great place with metro a small walk away. Brenda is always very proactive. Messages are clear and precise. We will be back.

Great place to stay with family. Really conveniently located with all that you need within walking distance - even the local swimming pool. Lovely property - home from home when we were there and the kids and dog loved it. We were there over Christmas and it suited us perfectly. We even had a lovely Christmas tree and decorations.

Fantastic homely property. Ideal for South Shields and access to fantastic beach. Host was 5 star and property was spotless clean. Make sure you follow the eating out recommendations, we loved them..

Very Central and easy to get around from. Great host and flat has everything we could need inc comfy beds.. There was some nighttime noise from club across the road but we expected that given the location. The Greek Restaurant opposite was excellent

Really enjoyed our stay with Julie and Jamie. It was easy to find No. 15 and easy to park very close by. Jamie greeted us and showed us up to our apartment, which was clean and warm. He offered to help us with our luggage. They had made it feel very homely from the decor and soft furnishings, to the truly excellent human and dog welcome baskets. The immediate location is excellent, full of restaurants, cafes and pubs within 5 minutes walk. In the welcome folder is a list of recommendations on where to go with a note of whether they are dog friendly or not. Really helpful. The beach is literally at the bottom of the street and my dog loved maurauding around after the ball, Julie had kindly popped in the dog welcome box. It's about a 10 minute walk to Spanish City, along the beach/promenade or to the main street, which has some nice independent shops and an excellent craft beer tap room/bottle shop, Nord.

We had a great stay at Amy’s location. Absolutely loved the style of the flat, and everything was clean and in great condition. The location was great for us, we walked into the centre a few times and used Uber to get home, which cost around £5. Amy offered great recommendations. We loved the fireplace and made us feel right at home. We also made use of the games that were left. It was such a kind touch of the hosts to leave us some treats too, which were very much appreciated. Overall, a fantastic stay, and would love to come back. Thank you so much, and Happy New Year 😊

It was very close to the metro so handy to get around.also aldi was nearby so was handy to pop over for breakfast

Had booked in for its location! Was in the heart of South Shields and you could really head to the beach walking. I would book here again if I need to be in Sunderland or Newcastle for the day. The house was decorated in a unique style. I enjoyed the modern decor. It has been kept very clean. Yasmin, was very responsive and helpful. All in all I recommend it again. Would come back here sooner than expected. Thanks

Our second Holiday stay in Martin and Michelle’s flat was wonderful. They were responsive to all our needs. The flat was exactly as listed, no surprises. It was even decorated for Christmas. :) A space heater was available for those cold Newcastle nights. It is close to bus routes, restaurants and grocery. Most importantly, it was an easy walk to our family we were visiting.

A lovely, spacious flat, with every amenity. Nick was always responsive, and communication was friendly. Unfortunately, The Merchant’s Tavern, the pub downstairs, closed down the week before we came, but the marina is a lovely, quiet spot. I highly recommend;y recommend this property and these hosts.

Lovely stay in Jesmond. Just a short walk to West Jesmond Metro station and easy links into town. Lovely village feel so close to the city. Great restaurants nearby too. Lovely decor in this spacious ground floor flat with on street parking and private parking to the rear. Great find, will definitely use again.
