Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Vacoas-Phoenix

Our stay at La Balise Marina L’Estuaire, Black River, Mauritius, was absolutely wonderful. Sandrine was an exceptional host, providing fantastic communication from booking through to our stay, ensuring everything was seamless. Paola took excellent care of our family, keeping the accommodation spotlessly clean and always being available to answer any questions. Both Sandrine and Paola were outstanding, making us feel welcome and well cared for. The apartment was spacious, modern, and equipped with every utensil needed for a self-catering holiday, ensuring a comfortable and satisfying stay. I highly recommend hiring a car, as we did, to explore the island. The apartment conveniently includes a car parking space, and the large Super U supermarket nearby offers a wide range of food and essentials. Our experience was incredibly enjoyable, and we are grateful to Sandrine and Paola for making it so memorable. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Dainika and Munish’s villa in Port Chambly. The accommodation is in a secure gated community, so we felt very safe throughout our stay. The villa itself was spacious and comfortable, with two bedrooms and en-suite facilities—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Although there were water restrictions during our visit (only available for 4 hours a day), this was not the owners' fault, and they informed us well in advance, allowing us to plan accordingly. The pool area and barbecue facilities were a great addition, making for enjoyable afternoons outdoors. We hired a car, which made exploring the area easy, but the location itself was peaceful and scenic. Dainika and Munish were fantastic hosts—readily available, friendly, and always willing to assist. We truly appreciated their hospitality and would happily stay here again!

We travelled for a work trip and had a great stay. We got value for money unlike some of the other spaces we looked at.

The apartment had plenty of space, a little kitchen and good air conditioners that were much needed during the hot week here. Being able to use the beautiful pool made our stay very enjoyable. The beach was very close as was a few restaurants. Our favorite location on the island. Very helpful and excellent hosts.

Our 3 weeks in the quiet villa at the end of a dead end road were exceptional. We were particularly impressed by the warm welcome and hospitality of Ursula, Amelie and Jürgen, who put everything else in the shade. Very well equipped kitchen, dining area, living room, 3 air-conditioned bedrooms as well as 1 small and 1 large bathroom with shower and washing machine. Jürgen keeps everything in good shape, plans a new pump for better water pressure and handles all repairs. In addition to friendly turtles and dogs, there were occasionally mosquitoes and other animals, which, thanks to the means provided, was not a major problem. Beach, supermarket, fruit and vegetables at the Dodo roundabout as well as ice cream parlor, bakery and restaurants are within 10-15 minutes walking distance. Ursula has its own rental car rental! Tip: Get in touch in time to organize car and transfer. She speaks very good German. Overall highly recommended. We will be happy to come back!

Roy and his wife are very, very nice people! It has been a pleasure learning from them about life on Mauritius. The apartment was bigger than expected, in a very good location near an amazing beach. The WiFi was just good enough for video calls and mostly stable. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Beautiful apartment, comfortable and chic decor at the same time. We loved the quiet and secure residence, the spacious accommodation, the very pleasant outside with views of the lagoon in the distance, the greenery, the private pool, the well-equipped kitchen, the essentials and small touches in the cabinets and fridge, the huge screen to watch Netflix and co. Fred is a lovely and very responsive host, who does everything to make the stay even more enjoyable. He has lots of good tips and good reco. A real superhost;-) On the other hand, the car is essential for this property. No groceries or restaurants nearby. A supermarket is a 2 minute drive away.

Wonderful stay ideal location really as in the photos secure 👍🏻👍🏻residence, all the amenities that the beach needs 5 minutes from the city center next door, Mauritanian restaurants etc .Munish always available at any time always ready to satisfy you we had a favorite for this apartment it so feels like home and on the garden level. Wonderful apartment in wonderful location

We have just finished a wonderful 15 night stay at Kamal’s place. The apartment was a comfortable space for our family of 2 adults and 3 children. It was well stocked with kitchen equipment, towels and linens. Kamal’s brother was on hand if we had any questions or issues and even bought us some requested essentials for our arrival. We felt quickly at home and able to find our way around the resort. The pool and gym is a 1 minute walk from the apartment and there are restaurants and a beach with kayaking facilities at the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend it.

I had a very pleasant stay in Dominique's apartment, where I particularly enjoyed the two beautiful gardens, the master bedroom offering great comfort, modernity in general, decor, location in the complex, just a few minutes from restaurants, grocery store, shop, tennis/paddleboarding and golf. Not to mention the proximity to the beach and the beautiful pool + fitness room. I felt quite safe and had a very good relationship with the very nice cleaner, who also prepared on-demand dishes. Dominique was attentive and proactive in the communication of information, very complete, and also offered other services if needed (activities and transport on the island).

Great place...very friendly hosts..a home away from home...very clean...bathrooms very upmarket and beautiful furnishings. Great views. The kitchen is very modern..Parking is secure and safe...lovely swimming pool with gym facilties. I will definitely recommend this place to anyome coming to Mauritius.

We spent a wonderful week at Appanah’s apartment in Azuri. Appanah fetched us from the airport and was very helpful assisting us with SIM cards and shopping. It was wonderful chatting to him en route and learning more about Mauritius and the area. A cyclone was forecast and he checked to see that we were safe and aware of the weather. The apartment is clean and well appointed and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. All in all a wonderful stay with a friendly and professional host. We would stay with him again in the future.

Very very nice home in quiet and beautiful surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come again if we are going to Mauritius.

Very nice accommodation in Flic en Flac, we had our parking to park the car. Beach access, restaurants, bars, ice cream parlour, is very well done on foot. Patricia let us use a stroller, umbrella, and host chair at no additional cost. Clean accommodation, nickel linen.

We were very pleased. Landlady is a great woman. She was available at any time. Every day we were allowed to enjoy mangoes directly from the garden. Apartment is great. Internet is great. We thank you for the hospitality.

A beautiful villa, with access to the sea. The villa is fully air-conditioned. The decor is splendid. A true haven of peace. We loved the living room and very comfortable private pool after a day of hiking. The terrace is beautiful. 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. A sheltered location to park the car. Villa under supervision. Access to the large infinity pool next door is also a plus. There is no kayak as shown on the listing page. A supply of drinking water is available. I would recommend this Villa. We spent a fabulous week there. Thank you.

Lovely house, good host and very nice reception via Karine. There was a housekeeper who cleaned once during our up hold which was perfect. There's a really good bakery and pizzaria nearby. You have to have a car to get around as the roads are not suitable for longer walks. Perfect for family vacation with small children.

Our stay at this place exceeded our expectations! The photos don’t fully capture the atmosphere-it’s even better in person. The home is in a private complex and felt very safe. There was plenty of space for our family, and enough room to work. Most evenings, we took a short 5-minute walk to the beach to enjoy the stunning sunsets. The large pool was a fantastic bonus, perfect for relaxing. We spent a full month here and truly enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and private getaway!
