Hands down, the BEST airbnb we have ever stayed at!!! Liz & Garry were so thoughtful with this place - from the welcome platter, to providing robes/extra towels/blankets, very detailed instructions, the beautiful design, and the awesome amenities!! We spent countless hours outside looking at the stars. It was the best night we could have asked for and we cannot wait to get back to NZ to stay here again! Only regret is not staying more than one night! Thank you Liz & Garry!

Great location on the lake, walkable to the restaurants and shops in town and about a 45 min drive to Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park. Great cabin just above the camp/camper ground of the same property.

We had a spectacular time at the cottage and will remember our stay there for the rest of our lives! We stayed here so we could do the hooker valley track and the place was full of comforts and very considerate complementary items. We were more than comfortable here and loved watching the various animals roam around the cottage. At night we had a blast soaking in the outdoor tub as we stargazed the Mackenzie sky, and even got to see the parade of planets.

Best Airbnb either of us have ever stayed in, in our extensive travels. We are still in disbelief of this home. If you have the chance to stay, do it. We had hesitated to book because there’s so much to do along the South Island, but now we know that this home is worth making the special visit. We will not be forgetting the serenity and beauty of Fallow Ridge: the uninterrupted panoramic view of sheep-dotted mountainside, the warm bath overlooking the sunset, the beautiful fog rolling in and out around the house. We walked along the road and down to the river and never actually went back down into town in our two nights because the property was just too awesome to leave; we recommend you arrive with some groceries as we did, in case you feel the same! The thoughtful details from our hosts made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We were glad to meet David out on a walk and we regret to have not met Sarah, who we wish to also sincerely thank for such a lovely stay!

My wife and I stayed in this lovely one bedroom, one bathroom cottage for four nights in February. The view is fantastic and the space was thoughtfully, and stylishly, designed with everything you could want in the cozy living quarters. It’s really nice to sit outside on the covered deck and watch the sun change on the hilly landscape. The fully equipped kitchen was great for making our meals. The outdoor tub was an unexpected treat for watching the stars in the evenings after some strenuous hiking in the beautiful mountains. Robyn was a thoughtful and attentive host and we’d gladly stay here again.

We had a great time there. Toni was very kind and made us feel very welcome. The house was amazing, even better then in the pictures. We loved stargazing in the bath/hottub which she kindly prepared for us with a Bath bomb so that It was Nice and Hot when we Got back from our Mt. Cook hiking. Will definitly be coming back the next time we visit NZ. 😊

Incredibly beautiful setting with views that will be remembered forever. From sunrise on the mountains to breathtaking starry nights. Gorgeous, thoughtfully crafted and comfortable cabin inside and out. Wonderful hikes walkable from the cabin. The drive in was stunning and directions made it easy to find. Don’t hesitate, book this amazing place, you won’t want to leave.

We had a fantastic stay. We only stayed for one night but it had everything we could need. The facilities were clean and easy to get to. We really enjoyed our time.

Lovely cottage which is in walking distance to the “city center” plus lake view from the balcony - we loved it. The interior design is great and looks like it’s been created with a lot of love. The kitchen was well equipped and the garden is so cute, the parsley added the little extra to our sandwiches so thanks for that! Unfortunately we could only stay 1 night at Lake Tekapo but we enjoyed every minute of it. Would go there again anytime

I loved it here! I only stayed one night. Very cozy. Kat was so kind! The place is clean and you have what you need. Bed is fantastic. I had a wonderful meditation in the morning. The only thing is that there isn't any wifi. That was probably mentioned on the listing, but I didn't notice it. Luckily I could hotspot off my phone as I had a client call in the morning. I'd definitely come again - truly a special place. Thanks Kat!

We had a few troubles arriving to New Zealand due to a looming cyclone. Kenny was super understanding and patient with us the whole way. His cosy cabin is located in an absolutely beautiful location! We would 100% return again.

Was a perfect place to stay while completing the Otago Rail Trail. Located at the halfway point. Also very peaceful and clean would recommend.
