Holiday rentals with a fireplace in West Hartford

Julie is an outstanding host! This house is perfect for any getaway. It was clean, spacious, well equipped, comfortable, and STUNNING outdoor area with a gorgeous pool. This is 3 FULL baths and 1/2 bath!! Two kitchens! Two family rooms! You had space! It made you want to relax! The kitchen was well stocked with any utensil or appliance you would need. It was private. You could really escape and get away. Woodbury and the surrounding towns were jampacked with things to do. There were many places to choose from to eat. Such a variety from steak, seafood, pizza, and American fare pubs and other specialty restaurants. Lots of variety/antique shops, flea market, wine/liquor stores, convenience stores. Just a short drive into Southbury you find more shops, antiques, restaurants, bigger, grocery store, etc. We also drove to a few other neighboring towns. All under 45 minutes. Friendly people! We had a wonderful time! Price is fabulous, house/outdoor area is A+ value! Thank you Julie!!

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend time with our family and enjoy the Litchfield area! Perfectly clean home, beautiful property, stylish and comfortable! We had everything we needed to do some light cooking, Kevin and Jerry quickly answered questions and gave great suggestions. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful location in Otis, right on the lake and so peaceful. The house is very spacious and easily accommodated our family ( 7 adults and 2 children). All the windows in the house provided great views of the lake, especially from the deck. Our host Nick was very responsive when we had questions or any concerns. Would be nice to come for a stay during the summer.

Me and my family have stayed in a lot of Airbnbs, and pet friendly is very important to us. This place was amazing and so clean! The bathrooms are immaculate. The backyard is gorgeous, and we loved being able to walk into the forest and play in the snow. Stacey was easy to get a hold of and great at communication. This location was our longest stay while traveling through many states, and I wanted my kids, animals, and wife to be comfortable. It felt like home. Thank you Stacy, for the amazing stay and all the amenities!

Dave was an excellent host. He was readily available, but never intrusive. The home was filled with everything you could possibly need,including treats for our pups! House was extremely dog friendly, super yard, with a run if needed! If you appreciate 19th century farm architecture, you will love his authentic 1800's. home. Thanks Dave!

The Farmhouse was very cozy and clean. Communication was great and Chelsea was very accommodating, as I was traveling with two small children and the schedules can be tricky. The property was beautiful and the house had everything we needed. The only thing that could be improved would be curtains in the bedrooms. As soon as the sun came up you are up. Very bright. But overall I would stay here again.

Jane was a helpful and responsive host, the apartment was beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped (and things were labeled for finding easily), the location was great for what we needed, and the cats were the absolute sweetest. Our family of 5 was comfortable and felt safe and right at home even during severe weather (super hot in the 90s and severe thunderstorms). Our kids didn’t want to leave! This was our third visit to Christina’s place — it’s an absolute gem! We honestly can’t think of anything more she could do to make it cozier or more perfect! Easy to find, easy to check in and the pictures are 100% accurate. A darling little studio apartment that is completely spotless, has everything you could possibly need and best of all — has a wood burning stove just feet from the bed! We love it, and we’ll definitely be back 🙂

Safe, efficient and convenient to most of West Hartford and Hartford. My stay was for 4 weeks and it felt like home. Middle floor apartment so some noise from above but otherwise quiet place in a quiet neighborhood. Off street parking, keyless entry to building and apt. Large kitchen, dining room and sitting room. Bright interior. Its a early 1900s house so it has quirks but well overcome by good appliances and just right amount of furniture.

Our Christmas stay at Janice’s was perfect! My partner and I needed a place to stay while visiting family for holidays. The suite was very clean and cozy. We really enjoyed the not one but TWO gas fireplaces! Janice also had a small artificial Christmas tree in the living room which made it so festive and the perfect place for us to rest and watch Christmas movies after days with family. The bed was comfortable and had four pillows with extras in the closet along with extra blankets, an iron and board. Janice was flexible with our check in time and very friendly. The only negative we could think of was that we’d love to have a full kitchen and the suite just has a kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave and toaster oven, but we knew that from the description and it was fine for a short stay. We’d love to stay here again. Really perfect for this trip.

We had a fantastic stay at Elisa's place! The space was impeccably clean and the pictures don't do it justice. The attention to detail was amazing. The beds were so comfortable with the space having so many supplies and amenities we wanted for nothing during our stay. Perfectly located with access to restaurants and local artisan shops, it was convenient to downtown and had ample free parking. Elisa was incredibly accommodating with quick responses. As first time guests with Air BnB we were beyond thrilled and will definitely book with Elisa again and explore the town! Peter and Beth

If I could give higher than 5 stars, I would! I love Airbnbs, and have stayed in them in many states. The Charming Cottage in Chester, CT ranks among the very best experiences. The cottage has two huge bedrooms huge, but cozy. All the other rooms are big, but cozy as well. I loved all of the windows and natural light. I am an older woman, staying alone, and Bridget looked out for me the whole time. Perks: lots of stuff in the fridge and pantry (don't buy butter!) tithe fireplace is ready, and has both kindling and logs. The area around the cottage is woodsy and lovely. Throw blankets on the sofa. Lots of books. Dining room with solar panels. A short walk to the quaint little town of Chester and the Goodspeed theaters, (which is why I was there.) Bridget communicated rapidly and was incredibly sweet. I'll be back, and I'll reserve plenty early to stay here again!

Nice place located in a beautiful secluded house in a safe neighborhood. Gorgeous property. Our dogs were allowed and they were very comfortable. The amenities were exactly as described. Extremely clean and well maintained. The place was easy to locate and easy to access. It is convenient to many local stores and restaurants. Great, responsive hosts!

What a beautiful, serene, relaxing spectacular setting! We've been to many Airbnb's but Natalie's place really stood out. The house was so well decorated, well stocked with every thoughtful amenity you can think of which helped create such a welcoming feeling. Everything was impeccably clean and comfortable. There's nothing quite like going to sleep with the sound of the Brooks that run through the property and nature humming away in the background and then waking up and realizing it wasn't a dream and you proceed to sit on a porch right next to the brook to eat breakfast. Another porch up by the incredibly spacious and beautiful master bedroom suite is situated with a masterful view of sunset and a pond (which during the day we kayaked in with our kids with kayaks provided). The pool is unique and so impressively designed and landscaped to blend into the surrounding woods. My kids enjoyed the well kept tennis court. Natalie was incredibly responsive, welcoming and courteous.

Paul’s place had the style of grand old home but it didn’t feel old: everything worked as it should, the kitchen and baths were updated and gorgeous. Amazing. We visited with family over 3 days and it was a fantastic, comfortable place to be together. Paul was gracious and helpful. Furniture and beds were of high quality and comfy. The grand piano in the living room was an extraordinary instrument and very much in tune - it was played for hours. All the guests gushed about the place, several saying it felt like a classic movie set. Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed it. We very highly recommend

This home is great for a family or two. Wonderful items in the large yard for children to play in, on and zip along. The side screened in porch is great for morning coffee or evening hangout. A chilly night, the gas fireplace is easy to work and adds a level of warmth to the great sitting area.

I rented this home to accommodate my family of 6 over Christmas. Beautiful home and very comfortable beds, high quality linens and lots of space. I could tell the house was very well set up for summer guests too with plenty of outdoor gathering areas.
