Holiday rentals with a kayak in Western Europe

Joe was extremely helpful and flexible both at check-in and checkout. The house is very clean and comfortable , we were 4 and our small dog. It is situated on a very quiet street.The backyard is great , it leads to a river that you can paddle (in season, we were there for thanksgiving). The house is an easy 25 minutes from Newport , you will need a car to do things in the area. The driveway easily accommodates 2 cars. We will probably come back, but in the warmer months!

Our stay at Susan’s home in Homosassa Springs was wonderful—a perfect getaway to Florida’s Nature Coast! As an explorer, I love immersing myself in nature, but I also appreciate accommodations that balance rustic charm with modern conveniences. This home checked all the right boxes. The space was well-appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, making it ideal for families looking to enjoy quality time together. The amenities provided made it easy to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. Whether you’re out exploring the area or simply unwinding, this home is a fantastic choice. We really enjoyed our stay in this home! The host was very helpful and responsive. The highlight of our stay was definitely the ability to kayak right out the back door - we paddled out into Mud River Springs and saw manatees absolutely everywhere. It was a magical experience! The yard was peaceful and it was relaxing to sit out with coffee on the deck and watch the wildlife (squirrels, birds, fish). Situated in a small quiet neighborhood (but still close to all the activities we came to the area for), we couldn’t have imagined a more peaceful place to spend our week. We really loved this spot and hope to enjoy it again someday!

The area sustained 2 Hurricanes in the previous 3 months. The home was in surprisingly good shape. The home was well furnished throughout and pleasantly decorated. The exterior of the home needs some work, but did not affect our stay. The area is awash with no-see-ums. We all were constantly getting bit despite bug spray. There are 4 good double kayaks, paddles and life vests. There were not back rests for all 8 pisitions. The back rests that were present were not very good. There is room on the property for a sizeable camper with hookup (main reason we chose this spot). Weeki Watchee State park is near by. We spent probably close to 10 hours over 4 days (all combined during our 7 day stay) and only saw Manatees on one day. All in all, we had a really nice time. I honestly don't know if we'd stay in this immediate area again (mostly do to the no see ums). The hosts are very pleasant and responsive.

Susan’s place was amazing and right around the corner from where we hung out on the river! 10 out of 10 would do it again!

the home was spotless. modern and up to date. Quiet area and street. includes access to a beach club down the street. restaurants and shops nearby. my wife enjoyed the fresh seafood. it's a 10

Absolutely lovely location. The house is great, maybe a touch disorganized, but I'm also a little OCD. Johnna was lovely, very responsive and friendly and the house really did work great for our Thanksgiving get together! Thank you!

We had such a great time. Our dogs loved the yard and there was even squirrels to entertained them. Very comfortable patio. We spent a lot of time out there.

An incredible gem tucked away in the private woods. We enjoyed a hot tub soak overlooking a fantastic sunset on the frozen lake. Loved our time here and will return!

Beautiful, private, relaxing stay in the Nature. The cottage has absolutely everything you will need for a whole family including babies to have a great vacation. Luisa was a great host and made us feel most welcomed! She suggested activities in the area around in addition to those available at the cottage itself and answered promptly, when we needed her help. Thank you for everything! :-)

We spent New Year’s at Leah’s place, and it was absolutely amazing. Her guest house is so cozy, and she’s an incredible hostess. Not to mention, her place is dog-friendly, which made it even better! It was such a memorable way to ring in the new year.

Very responsive host, easy to communicate with! When something is missed by the cleaner, frank was able to help us with solution. The place is very quiet and peaceful, very recommend for small families.

What a great location for a cottage! The included boats (canoes & kayaks) are really nice. We went in late October (end of the season) and the neighborhood was nearly deserted. We were often the only people out on the lake. It takes about 20-25 minutes to paddle over to one of the several waterfront restaurants in Port Severn. Trevor's communications were very precise and easy to follow. Only negative comment concerns the well water. It's not just high in minerals, it is so high in minerals that it smells terrible and you really don't want to shower in it.

Our winter getaway at the chalet was beautiful. Dan was proactive and responsive to any questions we had, and even checked in with us to ensure we were comfortable. The cottage is clean, well stocked and set up wonderfully. The location was perfect for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and frequently commented on the beautiful view with a picturesque lookout onto the lake. We enjoyed the fireplace, skating on the lake, and playing cards at the large dining room table. Thanks again for the great weekend! We’re looking forward to coming back next year!

We loved staying at this cozy cabin! The water views were simply gorgeous. Our two dogs were very comfortable and loved the yard. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the screened in porch. The only thing I would give a heads up on are the roosters next door. They started crowing at 6:30am and didn’t let up until 8:30am. Then they randomly crowed throughout the day. It didn’t really bother me, but it woke up my kids and thus they woke up my husband and myself. So, just something to be aware of. Everything else was absolutely perfect.

This was a very private and secluded place with beautiful scenery. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The host was very helpful and responded quickly. We loved the whole aspect of this place. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Thank you Lily for making me and my family feel right at home. I hope to come back again some day.

We had an amazing relaxing time, really peaceful, the cabin was cozy, and the lake in front of the property gave us and the dogs a wonderful time, we loved it! We are planning to go back in spring for kayaking.

Was truly a getaway but close to everything you might need.

Absolutely love. We were only staying one night with our 4 year old. It was too cold to take advantage of the water amenities but the view was still gorgeous. Lynn was very responsive. They have a binder filled with pertinent local info and restaurants, even includes their menus. Would love to come back when it warms up.

I stayed here with my son for an extended weekend, mostly just to escape the chaos of life for a few days. The cabin is beautiful and I have nothing negative to say about the experience. I will definitely come back to this place when I need to escape life again! And, when I did have questions, Amelia was very quick to respond. I highly recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. We were arriving after dark and Rebecca made sure we had detailed instructions and she sent a map, which made it easy to find. The cabin was spotless, nicely furnished, and cozy. We would absolutely return for another stay.

We took a mini getaway for my partner's birthday and had a fantastic time! The campground staff were incredibly helpful and kind, making our stay even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back in the spring! Everything was clean and in great condition. Cabin was so warm and cozy.
