Princes' Palace in Tower to Schedling Castle

JuanitaRating, 5 stars14 months ago
Sari worked with us after original contact person passed away unexpectedly. Jody had asked for a tree to help with Christmas atmosphere. Our 2 apartments had centerpieces that were attractive and emanated the smells of Christmas. Both units had trees. The lower one was outside the plate glass window with lights and red balls. The one in the second apartment was in the living area and really set the mood for Christmas for us all. Jody was so excited about seeing the faces of all of us when we saw the tower. I am sure he would not have been disappointed since each of us explored our units. He would have been so pleased. Thank you for all your efforts to make our stay as pleasant as could be under our circumstances. We did enjoy our time in your place.

16th Century Medieval Towerhouse

JonathanRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Staying in the castle was an incredible experience for our two families. Our kids (8-14) enjoyed exploring and playing throughout the castle and around the outside. There is a spectacular view of the countryside from the top of the castle. Mhairi helped put us in touch with a local chef who catered a medieval style meal in the dining room. Mhairi was responsive whenever questions came up and she stopped by to help sort out an issue with a radiator. This was one of the highlights of our visit to Ireland and we highly recommend Mhairi's castle!

Nisbet's Tower

LarsRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was our first stay in Nisbet Tower, which was formerly part of Eyemouth's defence system in warring times. It has been beautifully restored and renovated, a very striking building. The tower is located very close to the astounding rocky coastline on the south side of the harbour. Walking in the area is easy and memorable.

The Hunting Tower

MelanieRating, 5 stars23 months ago
This was one of the most unusual places I’ve ever stayed in. We did have a few walkers come up from Chatsworth and admire the view but mainly we were in splendid isolation. Walking around the woods and admiring the Aqueduct in the evening was quite magical; it felt as though we had the whole place to ourselves. The tower itself is an amazing survival from Tudor times and has been modernised sympathetically. The round shower was a favourite feature. The nearby farm shop was very good with a wide range of good quality food. It did snow whilst we were there but Sandra from Chatsworth Cottages kept in touch and made sure we were fine which was much appreciated. Altogether I would recommend the tower for anyone who wants to stay somewhere unusual and highly memorable. One word of caution though there is a spiral staircase connecting the floors so the building is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Legacy Lighthouse, Amish Country

SaraRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnbs over the years, but this may have been the best. Completely unique and cozy, we can’t wait to return! The weather wasn’t the best while we were there, so we couldn’t enjoy most of the outdoor amenities (which there are many), but the lighthouse is so well setup that you can just relax inside all day and enjoy the surroundings.

Charming quiet accommodation with a pool

JoopRating, 5 stars5 months ago
It was fresh in Essertenne, too cold for the season. We did not sit outside and then it is very nice that everything is very well taken care of inside. Two great sofas, a nice bed, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Because it was blowing too hard, we couldn't use the fireplace, we got an extra radiator to warm it up inside anyway. Beatrice tipped us a good restaurant where then enjoyed a lavish Burgundian lunch. In short, we had a nice time at Essertenne!

Three Wizards of The Forgotten Forest. Unique!

TammyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a great time at the Three Wizards! Lots of little "Easter Eggs" were found. The house description was 100% accurate. We loved the themed rooms and used the theater room a great deal. The beds were comfortable, whoever sleeps on the third floor should be ready for some exercise, but it was worth it. The location had easy access to all of the main attractions of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but off the beaten path from all of the hustle and bustle. Quiet neighborhood, with great views of surrounding fields and/or labyrinth from all windows of the house. The hosts were great, very responsive and nice! We would absolutely stay here again, great place!

Alte Dorfkirche

EmiliaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The clever, minimalist design of the apartment in the attic makes all the historical and architectural details radiate, which makes the result so harmonious that thoughts and hearts come to rest. In addition, Almut and Matthias Balsam are for the soul: warm, helpful, magical and fun. We will be happy to come back and recommend the roof sky without restrictions.

Top apartment in Old Water Tower "Napple Bottle"

MariaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This place is beyond a place to stay is an experience. Bigger than the photos, 4 levels until reaching the top windows with panoramic view of the town. Fairly clean, heating, washer and dryer separately, bathtub with bath salts. The apartment is very special, it is only missing some instructions for the kitchen appliances and lights to enjoy its full potential. This could be an Airbnb plus!

Charming dovecote with panoramic terrace

LoïcRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The accommodation is perfect and atypical in a great setting for a weekend or more to be quiet. The terrace is a real plus, if the weather is mild the possibility of looking at the stars👌🏻. Frédéric is welcoming, responsive and is a good tip for visits to the surrounding area. We would love to recommend this listing.

medieval casatorre

SimoneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Staying in a tower house was definitely a very evocative experience, everything you see in the photo matches the reality, which is also more beautiful in real life! The stairs, undoubtedly, are there, but it's not so challenging to do. The kitchen is complete with everything you need, and it's really very clean. The surrounding environment is very quiet and it is also easy to find parking in the immediate vicinity. It is very close to several points of interest, in our case it was very easy to reach the Asmana spa, which is about a 10-minute drive. We recommend it to those who want to stay in an environment different from the "classic" house. If we are in the area, we will definitely come back. Thanks also to the host Leonardo for his availability, and we also recommend trying his restaurant which was really good!
